Team Tackney - GMT Real Estate

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Team Tackney enough for doing an amazing job selling my home in Lakewood. Their full service approach included coordinating painters and contractors , professional house cleaning, photography, videography , marketing , negotiating and closing. Their comprehensive sales approach included listing the home at a price point slightly lower than I expected. This in turn generated 12 offers and a final sales price much higher than I expected. They are true professionals through and through, and I would highly recommend them to sell any home in Southern California.

Negative experience: Let me start by stating what's fair - they sold our home, within the time frame for a decent price. Nobody can take that away from then. So why the 2 stars? - Mostly because they just don't communicate. one weekend she was traveling (for vacation), another because someone had the flu. We had to beg her to talk to her, over and over, in very important dates. We left messages that often took a day to answer. She, more often than not, didn't answer the phone right away or within the hour. We had other RE agents before, but none were this unresponsive in crucial time. - She wanted to stall. We agreed on Jan 6 as a showing date, she pushed it to the 13th.. admitedly, she brought it back to the 6th, but what wasn't clear to me, is why do we need to work on doing this ,and do what felt like begging, when it's her job to make us happy to being bound to an agreement. She stalled again when she was "waiting" for her husband's input on some inspection, which could have only taken another 2-3 days over a weekend.- of course, he had no real input (and I am sure she knew that) - but why not install if she could in a time of real stress. - We had to keep our alarm system there, for insurance purposes. She didn't fight for us, at all, when we wanted it to be part of the deal (to save us the hassle), and once the deal was done and she got her 2.5% , she couldn't care less if we asked her to send it to us across the country. It would have been a minimal gesture, which she didn't do. - Let's be honest, selling a single family home in Garden Grove for its zestimate is not hard. Team Tackney are NOT on the cheap side (we got offers as low as 1.5%), but what we expected is responsiveness and courtesy - all they cared about was money.

Fantastic experience: Best Agents in Our City! Jennifer & Geoff (Tackney Team) were a wonderful team to work with when selling my Mother’s home in Garden Grove through Probate. They were always available, and very knowledgeable! Their expertise resulted in us getting over our asking price, and saved us thousands. Fantastic experience: Nancy and Shane were our buyer’s agent. It was our first home purchase and it couldn’t have been better working with them. They made the process much easier for us and were always able to find answers for us. There were some hiccups during the closing process, and it was during that difficult time we felt that Nancy and Shane were on our side fighting for us. Two things that we feel is very important are transparency and patience. Nancy and Shane were perfect in these aspects. They never just gave us yes no answers without any explanations, and they never made us feel like we ask too many questions. Fantastic experience: Team Tackney is hands down the best reality team I’ve ever worked with. We have bought and sold many houses over the years and Jennifer and Geoff are by far the best! In my opinion, (at least the realitor’s I’ve worked with in the past) Realtors take professional photos with 1 open house. Team Tackney went above and beyond. They had our house professionally cleaned and the outside windows professionally cleaned. (Which as a mom of 2 little kids was SO amazing and helped me immensely) they gave us staging decor to help make our house look amazing. Jennifer was in constant communication with us. Any questions or concerns I had was answered right away. One particular day during our escrow I was having a rough day with my kids and had an inspector over and Geoff offered to bring me coffee. (The kindness and generosity of this team amazes me) Even the little things they do for the neighborhood like donuts for the neighborhood garage sale or their booth during the concerts in east gate park (where they had goodie bags for the kids). I can’t believe all the wonderful things this office does for their clients and community. I will recommend them to everyone I know who is looking to buy or sell! 10000/10!!!!!

They educated us about and then walked us through all the necessary steps involved in the home sale and were super helpful with all the critical timing and schedule details, particularly related to the contingency, offer, and counter-offer process. They also gave us great suggestions about what to repair in the home and gave us excellent recommendations for home inspectors, special item appraisers, and termite inspectors. The escrow and title companies they used were outstanding too. Their advice related to setting the initial sale price of the home was on point. The way they staged the home prior to the open houses and private showings made a huge difference as well. (Although I would not hesitate to use them if the need arose.) They have given from the kindness of their hearts. Fantastic experience: Team Tackney sold my sister's place in August 2022', as my sister passed away unexpectedly. Her place was in Leisure World Seal Beach. It was a very emotional time for me to say the least. (They also sold our home one year earlier (2022), in West Garden Grove. They were terrific with the emotional attachment we had on our home, over 22 yrs. worth!) We had moved out of state & retired, but I knew they were the ones to call. The reason why: Because I could trust them from thousands of miles away but was in contact via phone or zoom. I knew how they ticked and dedicated to what they were doing. They were extremely knowledgeable as it relates to the market dynamics, helped with the initial price point, staging advice and on deciding which offer to take based on the likelihood of closing from the offer information. Well, she didn't just hand them to me, she put so many signs out herself, brought donuts, picked up the signs, all with a smile. She had so many signs out there, must have been at least 15 or more and we had the biggest sale EVER and many comments from buyers as to the impact of the signs. I knew then, when I would sell my house they would be my agent. It was a great experience, doing extra things to help me out, being a senior. This was 5 years ago, and I know this service has continued, as the have grown for all the right reason. (PS, I have been a realtor myself in my past)
