Fantastic experience: I have rented from various property management companies. Luke Properties is hands down the best one I have worked with. They have resolved all of maintenance issues promptly with in a day or two. I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Renters And Owners BEWARE this company is slow to come out and take care of things. They do not treat their tenants well they communicate poorly and their care of the property by my review is terrible. The house we had was not clean when we got it inside or out. We cleaned the house much better than it was when we got it. They are using a third party and gouging us. Terrible absolutely awful.

Negative experience: This is a horrible company to rent from. They are constantly creating check-ins at the property for maintenance check-ups. However, when something does break, they take months to fix it. Several times, I had to reach out multiple times for the same issue. Upon move-out, they changed moods and were quick to nickel and dime the general maintenance items. I left the place in better shape than when I moved in, yet they only gave 10% of my deposit back. This included all touch up painting and general cleaning. Both of which I was charged for. I also had to reach out several times in order to get my deposit returned. Nothing about that process was smooth. It seemed like they were hoping I would forget, and they could keep it all. This company is too big for its small business model. If you're looking to rent from a property management company, look elsewhere first.

Fantastic experience: Almost 2 years ago I started renting from Luke Properties. They have always been very kind to me and have handled the few issues I've had promptly! I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to management companies but these guys are great!

Negative experience: After months living here .. I was doing deep cleaning in my apartment and found dog poop in the vent. Very disappointed . Also found lots of dog fur in the vents!

Fantastic experience: Luke properties set out a plumber to fix an issue after moving in. Plumber was very professional when he arrived and went straight to the problem. A quick diagnosis and he knew what was happening and was able to fix the problem in a relatively short time. Left the area clean and was able to explain just what the problem was and what he had to do to fix it. Great plumbing company and definitely have them come back for any future plumbing needs. Luke properties was able to have the problem treated correctly, and quickly. Also having it resolved same day was a blessing.

Fantastic experience: I have been at my apartment with Luke properties for a year and a half, and it's the best apartment I've ever lived in. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer right after Christmas last year and lost my job because of it; they were incredibly understanding and worked with me throughout the past year. They are very kind and detail-oriented, and work hard to make sure all requests are handled as timely as possible. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Update: ** Still a very satisfied renter. Had a request for special Accommodations which was promptly addressed. Thank you. You are great at making things happen .*** I was very satisfied with the work order I put in. I had problems with my refrigerator frosting up and having to defrost it every couple of weeks. The repairman who came to look at told it was not working accurately. So a new refrigerator was suggested and I got a new one in a couple of days. Was so happy. I have limited mobility and the refrigerator I had was a dorm size and it was replaced with a bigger one. Now I can easily access all of shelves and don't have to reach down so far to retrieve things from inside. What a better convenience for me. Thanks again. I've always been given good service whenever needed. December 2025. They make their tenants feel important. Concerns are addressed in timely manner. The property is keep maintained year round. *****. Actually they deserve 10 stars.

Positive experience: The home is nice and I love having a new home. However, there are a few problems like the front door not opening smoothly, the upstairs bedroom window is missing a trim peice which is used for the windows AC, the dryer outlet did not work upon our initial move in and I'm not sure if the carpets were cleaned. But all together it's a nice home that I am happy to live in. All problems can be fixed easily and quickly. Not to mention when I submitted a meld request the issue was fixed almost immediately.

Negative experience: Moved out in october I lived there over a year When I went to move out gave a really decent ahead notice and then did the notice the way they wanted on paper as well, they began to have random appointments without telling me to show the property except they didn’t show up- just random people lost and me left to show them the property. Then they take my deposit and charge an extra 1200$ for paint apparently? Scam artists in the business of taking peoples money and doing the least amount of work possible. They won’t even give me a break down of what they actually did to the property when I moved out and to my knowledge they literally rented it out immediately without any action or cleaning like they did when I moved in. Would love for someone to reach out and have a conversation as this was pretty unfair. nonstop attempts at to make appointments and random people showing up to do “work” on the property They sent two teenagers once to try to put a drain plug on the sink and they spent hours in the bathroom attempting and then just left it sitting inside. Joke of a company

Negative experience: I used this company after a bad experience with J and L rents . Please beware as owner was very offended and reluctant to provide actual invoices which is always a red flag. Also didn’t follow directions per agreement regarding using home warranty for repair I also learned my former tenant wasn’t happy with there management and actually gave a very poor review but they convinced her to take it down. They talk a good talk but beware!!

Negative experience: Applied for a place after a showing, just to be told half an hour later that it had been taken. Fast forward the next few weeks, to where I'm getting blown up with emails and calls from utility companies asking me to "switch everything to my name." And then shortly after getting emails directly from them stating that maintenance requests have been fulfilled, with my name and 3 other "tenants" attached. I never signed a lease with these people, yet they dont respond to my emails AND they dont answer their phones. I DO NOT LIVE HERE, STOP ASKING ME TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR REWARDS PROGRAM! Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Updated! Just had a scheduled visit and got a free pizza cutter! April 2025. Property management done right! Friendly and engaged. If Sioux Falls is in your future, I'd definitely see what they have available.

And, they texted us again to make sure we made it inside. They always answer our questions, and maintenance needs are resolved quickly. I would recommend Luke Property rentals!

Negative experience: Doesn’t read leases, charges late fees that aren’t in lease. when asked about them says they have no copy of lease. maintenance just walks right in with no notice when working on other units. not i’m sure if it’s who they hire, they just don’t care about tenants safety or they just don’t know how to communicate. would rather sleep under a bridge than deal with them
