Fantastic experience: This review is long, I know, but I can’t say enough good things about our agent, Matthias DeJongh. My Mother passed away and we needed to sell her home. He truly went above and beyond in every possible way throughout the entire process. His knowledge, attention to detail, and willingness to help were exceptional. He didn’t just handle the sale of the house, but also helped coordinate electricians, drywallers, roofers, and anything else that needed to be taken care of. We live an hour away and he saved us on numerous occasions. He personally went to the house to turn off the water heater when needed, and even after the sale was complete, he went back to pick up our internet equipment, boxed it up, and took it to be shipped for us. He was incredibly attentive and always available, whether it was a weekend, evening, or even the 4th of July. He consistently kept us informed and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. He was also an excellent negotiator. He worked hard to make sure we got top dollar for the house and did a fantastic job negotiating concessions with the buyer’s agent. We always felt like he had our best interests in mind and was looking out for us financially every step of the way. What impressed me most was that he treated the entire process as though it were his own home and his own responsibility. Having someone so knowledgeable, dependable, responsive, and genuinely willing to go the extra mile made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. If you’re looking for an agent who doesn’t just do the minimum but truly takes care of his clients from beginning to end—and even after closing—I highly recommend him. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!

As well as helping them sell, relocate and purchase a home in Michigan.

Fantastic experience: Matthias was one of four market analysis when we started the ball rolling for the sale of our home. He totally stood out as honest, thorough, knowledgeable, caring, high energy, and interested in details we felt were important. Many agents just run the house through a computer program which we found had errors in square feet and rooms in our home. Thankfully, Matthias had taken the time to see this. When we selected him as our realtor he was open to the price we wished to sell our home for, even though it was a bit higher than his market analysis but in line as an average of the four received. Matthias super exceeded our expectations! He communicated clearly and often. He handled everything, hired an excellent photographer who even had drone shots, had open houses, got feedback from potential buyers and helped more than any agent we had used in past years, past homes. Fantastic experience: If you are in need of a realtor in southwestern Michigan, Matthias DeJongh is your guy. My husband and I had been looking for a good realtor in the area for close to a year when we found Matthias. We are currently living out of the country and looking for a home in Michigan. Searching for a home during normal circumstances is stressful, add living outside of the country, a pandemic, and the hottest housing market in years and you can imagine how much of a disaster that would be without finding the right realtor. Matthias has been quick to tour homes on our behalf and initiate zoom home showings and is even quicker answering questions and concerns. Matthias also comes with a whole arsenal of recommendations from professional landscapers and contractors to home inspectors. After finding the perfect house, Matthias also helped move numerous, sometimes heavy, packages into the home we ended up buying while we are still out of the country. During this home buying climate, it's not only the early bird that catches the worm, it's also the realtor coming up with creative offers and advocating for their clients, Matthias did it all for us. We initially put a bid in July for the home we are in now, and when other realtors said our bid was too low and didn't get back to us timely, Matthias gave us support and placed the bid we were comfortable with.We lost the bid, but Matthias continued to reach out to us when houses similar came up. We had just decided we were going to stop looking and remain where we lived, when Matthias called and said our house was on the market again. He assisted us with the bid and we got it for less than the original bid we had put in prior. Without his support I would not be in the house of my dreams today.
