Fantastic experience: Frank M. Smith and Associates Realty helped me find a home. Lisa O'Connell was my associate broker (agent). She organized my profile in MLS, sending me notifications of listings that potentially would meet my criteria. In fact, I had unusual criteria that were special enough that the profile system was not set up for, but Lisa O'Connell would notify me personally when new listings might meet these special requirements. With these special needs and being very selective, Lisa was patient and answered all of my questions for every piece of property that I considered/evaluated. Each and every time, she gave great advice and was very timely with her responses. When it came time for going through the purchasing process, Lisa guided me and helped advise me through every step. She gave good advice and she is a straight shooter. She gave great suggestions for legal counsellors as well as general inspectors and more specialized expertise (some of which was beyond the normal call of duty). So overall, I had the best realtor a person could ever get and would recommend them to anyone buying or selling a home.

Fantastic experience: I have known Lisa O'Connell for a number of years and I knew what a hard worker and go-getter she is. We were not disappointed in our decision to hire her as our realtor. We had a number of circumstances that are not typical when selling a house. Lisa helped us navigate through it all. She was wonderful to explain difficult to understand laws and regulations. She came out to our house and did a walk through with us before we listed to help us get ready to put our house on the market. From that point on she was very attentive and quick to answer our questions and help with our concerns. We can't imaging anyone doing a better job for us than she did.

Negative experience: I will avoid working with this company at all costs. Unfortunately, this company, and Samantha Riepel specifically, manage my local HOA. I have been trying to sell my property, which recently went under contract. Samantha Riepel filed a false declaration to the buyer and title company stating that my "property has drainage issues that need to be addressed with the HOA" and that there is a "need for drainage improvement" that will "need to be addressed." When I asked about the drainage issue to the HOA, they specifically told me they were aware of no drainage issues with the property, have never had an engineer out to look at the property, and that they were going to be upgrading the drainage near the streets at some time in the future. When I described this to Samantha, she hung up the phone on me. That was more than 3 weeks ago and I have not been able to get in touch with her since. After she submitted the false declaration, I lost the buyer. I still have not heard from Samantha and nobody at Frank M. Smith seems to care that she filed a false declaration. Be weary of working with this company as there is absolutely no accountability here.

Fantastic experience: Lisa has helped us with this listing for almost a year. We met with her and discussed the possible listing oh my Uncle's house with her last year. Once we relocated my Uncle to the valley, she handled making all of the arrangements for cleaning the inside of the house, the property around the house and ensuring that the house had the proper tie-downs. It was slow going through the fall and winter and early spring, but since then she has managed many showings right through the sale and closing. Since this was a long distance relationship, we had to communicate electronically most of the time. Lisa was always helpful, courteous, and treated us like one of the family.
