Unfortunately he decided to leave the profession before we were done purchasing, but Brok picked up right where jason left off without missing a beat to finalize the details of our deal. Fantastic experience: When I bought my new home in Duluth in 2005, I had no idea how difficult it would be to sell it six years later when I got married and moved out. I tried selling my place, but no luck; the housing bubble had, by that time, burst and I couldn’t sell the place without taking a massive loss. I ended up having to rent it out, something I did NOT want to do. Each time a tenant moved out, I would try to sell, listing every time with Brok, with no luck—I didn’t give it enough time on the market for it to move. Finally, in July 2016, the tenants who had been living there for two years moved out, and I decided that this was it: I was going to sell the place no matter what. I called Brok, and we got moving. Brok does a great job listing the house, taking my suggestions on what should be stressed as property assets. He makes YouTube videos and posts to multiple social media sites; taking advantage of these tools pulls in a larger market than the traditional listings (though he does those, too). He is also a calm, kind presence in what can be an emotionally charged process, offering sound advice based on objective reasons. I’m happy to report that, three months after listing, I got and accepted an offer and am thrilled that the house is finally being sold to someone who can appreciate it. I’m so thankful to Brok for having made it happen. I trust Brok enough to recommend him to family and friends, and I have—I know of at least two other houses he’s sold for family members, and several friends have sought his counsel. There are many great realtors in Duluth, but Brok Hansmeyer is my choice every time.

Negative experience: My boyfriend and I have been looking to buy a house for some time now. We found a house we really liked and put in an offer. We then got wind that a mass email was sent to all the other Realtors that they needed to put their offers in for the house because we had. Kind of rubbed us the wrong way since our realtor has worked hard to find a house that we liked. It would be different if they were his buyers that he was helping but that was not the case. I guess business is business. We know buying a house can be competitive but this was definitely not executed the way it should have. At first we thought nothing of it because neither of us are in realty but after talking to a handful of different realtors that have also worked with us we were informed that this isn't a something that should have happened. So unfortunately we did not really have a good experience and we are still experiencing issues with them playing games. After passing along to our competing offer that we withdrew our offer, we were informed that they were still telling them that our offer was on the table and they needed to raise theirs.. very disappointing and unprofessional. They gave us a time limit whether we wanted to increase our offer, which we followed. But when we gave them a time limit to let us know their decision, they would not answer our calls.
