Fantastic experience: Our experience with Rob Weltz from Brattleboro Area Realty was quite accidental but definitely a good accident. As out-of-state purchasers, we were limited to very few days to come up to the area where we intended to purchase to look at properties. Rob coordinated our viewings to make sure that we were able to squeeze as many as we could into two days and was very flexible when we requested changes in properties that we were interested in seeing and offered to drive by ahead of time to make sure that the properties were worth the time to look at. Throughout the process, while stressful, Rob was fully transparent with the communication with the other agent and there was no doubt that he was advocating for our wants and needs. Rob provided support when we were not able to be present for some additional inspections that needed to be completed so our voice was always present. Rob was an advocate for us from the beginning and has not stopped even though we closed a week ago. The house we purchased was not at the top of our list, however, after Rob advised us to utilize our two-hour car ride home to discuss the properties we looked at, we realized that this house was our home.

Fantastic experience: Updated: Don't expect the website to let You view properties UNTIL You create an account! BAD FORM! This is VERY frustrating because I don't want to give my email, I don't want to use Facebook to sign in, I JUST want to look and see if there is something 'better' for me than my current situation. I'm less than impressed with the website now, when I first started looking, I didn't fight to navigate signing in, if I did have to, I would have probably given up trying to get 'home'. Original review: First of all buying is HARD. I tried with a few different properties and different realtors because I WANT to stay in my home state but the 'out of staters' have raised the property prices so much I've been 'bought' out of my state. I explained this to Liz, a Brattleboro Area Realty Realtor, and she got where I was coming from. I'm NOT mad other people Love our homestate, but if it weren't for Liz, I'd still be 'out bid' on our little peice of 'Home'. She not only didn't get discouraged when a lawyer refused to agree to to close, she gave me other names of lawyers that would LISTEN to my plan, and hear that I was/am talking LONG TERM, not a flip and sell; because of Liz, we signed! May 26th was our 'final walkthrough', the paperwork was done the next day! What started off as a hopeless endeavor has netted us a homestead. Thank You Liz.

Negative experience: As a new home buyer I contacted Christine Lewis to be my agent. She called me and we had a nice conversation regarding what I was looking for. Come to actually viewing homes she said she would get me into properties then the day of she acted as if we never set up an appointment. Never responded to messages, couldn’t confirm with me on times and places. At that point she ghosted me. No phone, or email responses. She cost me two potential homes. Would highly not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Review: My boyfriend and I worked with Emily Webb on purchasing a home in Vermont while living out of state. Emily was an absolute gem! We couldn't have asked for a better realtor. She was always responsive, communicative, and kept us in the loop. She conducted zoom and in person showings for us and even went to areas out of her way. Fantastic experience: Great selection and prices.

Negative experience: I have recently had the most horrific experience with Christine Lewis. I have never met such a dishonest person. She acts like this is Las Vegas and has no clue we live in a small and humble New England town. I cant believe she is employed by anyone in this area. Her reputation is far worse than the rumors. Stay far far away from this agency if you have any sort of self respect or want to be treated like a real live human.

Fantastic experience: **The review of not returning phone calls or not dealing with you unless you buy a house 200k or more is absolute not valid. I had a great experience buying my first home (well under 200k) with Chris. She showed us several houses before we found the perfect house. Both Angela the office manager and Chris the agent worked very close with us. They answered all questions and returned ALL our phone calls. Being first time buyers we had A LOT of questions. Thank you BAR and will definitely be back if we decide to sell/buy again.
