Negative experience: Here's a polished version that keeps the review factual, professional, and based on your experience: I was interested in purchasing a property listed by this brokerage, and unfortunately, the communication throughout the process was extremely disappointing. On multiple occasions, I was told that a contract was being drafted or would be sent "today," but nothing was ever received. I repeatedly had to follow up with both the listing agent and even the seller just to get updates. In several instances, my messages were read but went unanswered. As a cash buyer who was ready to move forward, I expected timely communication and follow-through. Instead, there were long periods with no response, leaving me unsure whether the transaction was still active. Consistent communication is one of the most important aspects of any real estate transaction, and that was lacking in my experience. Fantastic experience: Miller Cox was so great to work with. He was always friendly and professional and kept me updated on any and all interactions with buyer. During the below freezing temperatures, he helped me look after the house since I lived over an hour away. That extra help made me appreciate him even more. He is very caring and sold house and 2 acres within couple of months after listing it. I highly recommend Miller Cox at Homeland Properties in Huntsville, Texas.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved into Magnolia West Apartments and must say that I really like the place. The apartment was super clean when I moved in, and Ms. Hoot was really helpful throughout the process. I only wish the parking area had better lighting as it can get pretty dark at night, but otherwise the apartment is great!!! Would absolutely recommend.

Negative experience: I've been researching 100+ acre tracts of land in East Texas as potential home sites. I noticed that several different property listings showed identical pictures and the property descriptions were basically identical. In fact, the property description even notes that the pictures shown may not be of the property listed (Why bother then??) I noticed the properties were all listed by Andy Flack of Homeland Properties. Well, Andy, If the best you can do is use stock photos of who knows what property and regurgitate the same property descriptions for multiple listings, then you have told me all I need to know about your company.

Negative experience: My husband & I spent over a week trying to get a hold of someone regarding a property we were interested in. No response at all. I finally emailed each email I could find on their website, letting them know we had been trying to reach out and if anyone could help us. I received a response from Robbi, asking what area we were looking at. No sorry or anything...okay.. I explained to her what we were looking for, and she sends me a link to their website - as if I hadn't already browsed myself. After emailing back & forth with her a few times I could tell she was not interested in our business, was not trying to be helpful in our search and told ME to send HER what I find. We decided to not communicate any further and to take our business/cash to a company that actually knows what customer service is. Don't waste your time.

Positive experience: Yes,sure

Negative experience: It is September 4th and I have not received my rental income for August or September! Angela Smith keeps saying it’s in accounting. We are constantly having to reach out to her, because she doesn’t initiate anything. This is absolutely unacceptable. We are still waiting for her response, because she told us it will be in accounting for a week, well, it’s now been two weeks! We just want our rental income!

Positive experience: Said thing is they are closing. You will be missed.

Negative experience: There lawn crew is horrible and throws trash in others yards

Fantastic experience: Chris Ashorn is the best property manager that I’ve ever had. He is always very quick to handle anything that goes wrong. From our AC going out to our hot water heater acting up Chris has been very timely and professional with all of it! A huge thank you to Chris and Homeland properties!

Fantastic experience: Found a great rental at an affordable price. They don't take credit cards which is a bummer, but the customer service more than makes up for that.

Negative experience: Actually the WORST. For a year my roommate and I stayed at the Highland Townhomes, who are owned by Homeland Properties (Highlands themselves are alright: great staff, terrible neighbors). We're working on building up our lives and decided we would like to rent a house instead of a townhome, since there was simply not enough space for us and our two small dogs (we wanted our OWN yard!). My roommate and I went to their office, right up the road from the Highlands and went in, hopeful to talk to a leasing agent about different properties (ie: house, yard, pet friendly). Instead, the receptionist told us they don't speak to potential clients and that the list of properties was outside the office. She then went outside, got one of these handouts, and brought it back in for us. She said though that the online site (which is AWFUL, please hire a website designer!) is updated more regularly than this thing. She was quite rude. If I had known that they wouldn't even bother to give us the time of day we would have steered clear. I don't know if it's because we're FEMALE or because we're COLLEGE students, but they really did not give a flip about potential customers/leasers. We have money, references, and good credit. Their loss. Instead now we're leasing a cute property with Heart of Texas Real Estate & Mgt. Co. The staff are VERY friendly and WANT your business!
