Fantastic experience: Our family has been going to Nantahala for years. We quickly fell in love with the area and decided to look for a place on or near Nantahala Lake. We cold called a number of realtors in the area but Old Town Brokers was the only one that returned our call. We were so please when we met Jeremiah Jacobs who, come to find out, is a local and very knowledgeable of the area. We are 2 1/2 hours away in Atlanta and Jeremiah made himself accessible and available, accommodating our schedule to show us homes. Negative experience: We were very interested in this company until noticing a website policy of refusing to let you browse their listings effectively until you provide a full name, email, AND phone number. All the things required to spam you. For maximum effectiveness they pair this with a privacy policy which states they DO share this information with 3rd party advertisers. Disappointing. Once your info is in the hands of advertisers it is subject to THEIR privacy policies from then on. And their policy is that you have no privacy. Hard to trust a broker that tries to sell my info behind my back before we've even made first contact.

Negative experience: I was told that Old Town brokers were dual agents that work with the buyer's and the seller's Jeremy Jacobs put a property under contract that I was very interested in making offer on without telling the seller's that there were multiple people interested in their property. my concern is for the seller that there was no Justice for them so I would not recommend this company to anyone.

She drove us all around the area and spent the best part of the day looking at lots and cabins. Negative experience: My son bought a house that Brad was the broker, he bragged about the sellers who were suppose to fix faulty items. He said all problems were fixed well they were not, my son contacted Brad and was told the repairman would be there the following week. No one showed up and does not respond tovvmy son at all. Very unprofessional and underhanded to side with the seller. Would not use this place to sell or buy an outhouse. Brad lied thru his teeth. When the problem is fixed then I will change my feedback and not until then.

Fantastic experience: Our journey started almost 3 months ago as I began looking at Western Carolina properties online. I found one that interested me and submitted a request for more info one night. Robin must have called me back with-in 30 minutes and spent about 20 minutes just trying to get a feel for what we were looking for. We made a trip up from Florida about two weeks later and he must of driven us through all of Western Carolina showing us some properties we’d sent him. Through our voyage up and down many many many many roads he got to know us, and by the time we were done he knew what we were looking for when we still had not figured it out. After 3 months and numerous flights up to the area we ended up finding a great property… in the area he suggested by the end of that first day.  I’m sure I have been a giant pain in the a** but Robin and Jeremiah were both very patient and responsive to our needs throughout the process, and were always happy to answer my many stupid questions. (and there were plenty) This process would have been exponentially harder without their help.

Negative experience: If you look up the definition of a shyster you may very well see a picture of their agent Robin Sargent. His lack of professionalism is astounding. I am surprised he still has his real estate license. Dealing with him definitely calls for a buyer beware attitude. Thankfully I found an agent who is not willing to trade his integrity for a quick dollar. If you're looking for someone honest to work with, steer clear of this company.
