I worked with him as we navigated the West Point MS market due to my helping my mom move from there after her husband passed. Colin was great at listening to my mom and reviewing her property and made several suggestions as to how we could price it, the pros and cons of the property and something as simple as getting her out sooner which would help move the house as potential buyers were able to go through the empty home and better visualize it as theirs. We were able to get my mom moved closer to my wife and I in early November, and we closed on the house in the first week of January. We went round and round about what to do before contacting a realtor to sell our house and the next thing you know we're in the middle of a pandemic. Now what? We had met Colin at a friend's Christmas party prior to any COVID-19 concerns. Initially our friend (same one) was going to sell our house, but she was no longer in the business. Not knowing how to proceed, I said to my wife, I'm going to call Colin. He set up an appointment and assured us he'd respect our level of quarantine (83 year old mother-in-law living with us) and took every precaution at that initial walk-thru/meeting. WoW ! My wife and I knew immediately Colin would be our realtor. We were interested in selling the house ASAP but wouldn't be out of the house 'til the end of the month with a truck load or more of stuff left to move. Additionally, Colin was very straight forward about the condition of the house and what needed to be done. He also said that there might be a few other things that we could do make it a bit more marketable. He then sprang into action... We didn't have time to have the house cleaned before we left town. No problem. Colin handled that at a very reasonable cost... and also suggested a few other repairs. We talked about price, in the middle of a pandemic, mind you, and next thing we knew our house was on the market ! Again he was very straight forward about pricing... We did wind up lowering our asking price a bit but were totally satisfied with the final price. Once an offer arrived he again was on task. But now we were now living out of town he was an open book (texts, emails, facetime, videos) about how things should proceed since we had no clue. He was very reassuring. Colin covered every detail, from that initial meeting to the final closing; everything from landscaping, repairs, marketing, photos, cleaning, personal updates, pricing discussions, electronic documents, legal documents and anything else you can imagine, up in the middle of COVID-19. We had tried to sell our house back in 2016 with no success. So we took a good look at it and decided to make some improvements. When we again decided to put it on the market it was beautiful. I will be honest I was skeptical because the market is a little different in this area then where we lived before. So through a friend we got Colin’s name and gave him a call. He came out looked at the house and asked us when we wanted to put it up for sale. We were doing some landscaping at that time so we opted to wait until we finished that. When the landscaping was complete he came out and took almost a hundred pictures. His photography skills are top notch. I swear the pictures looked better than the house and the house looked pretty darn good. We opted to list it on March 1st 2020. Then COVID-19 hit. We were really bummed. It was depressing. But Colin was really upbeat and positive and told us to have patience. He arranged showings with those folks who were willing to go in person and he arranged video tours for those who weren’t.
