Fantastic experience: Very helpful in finding me what I was looking for
Negative experience: If I could leave zero I would. I stayed for 11 more months after my lease and gave them a notice, (since they dont use computers, my notice never got further than the woman who was there). Cleaned the place spotless as far as im concerned considering how the house next door was left during my stay. Tried 3 times to get maintenance to come fix a faulty wiring issue, gave up on it. Brennan never reached out about anything, nor, my deposit. The neighbors house they were in control of had the worst roach infestation when they moved out and I had to handle all of that my own. The house was poorly insulated with a crappy portable air conditioner. 300 dollar electric bills each month. This place owes me my move in deposit. Thieves. 950 a month for floors falling in and the neighbors house the same build for 650 however their toilet was making mold under the floor and it was never fixed. Make it make sense. Glad to move out of cullman. Uncultured sundown town

Notice to Vacate & Lease Terms
Contrary to your statement that we “do not use computers,” we maintain full electronic records of tenant interactions. Our system shows that you provided notice on 08/15/2025 and returned your keys on 08/29/2025.
Per the lease you signed—even while on a month-to-month extension—a 30-day written notice is required. Departing prior to the end of that notice period constitutes breaking the lease, which impacts deposit eligibility.
Move-Out Condition of the Property
While you stated the home was left “spotless,” our move-out inspection and the photos taken at that time tell a different story. Documented conditions included:
- Damaged trim and door surfaces consistent with pet scratching
- Floors left dirty with debris and dust
- Aluminum foil attached to windows
- Bathroom left unclean, including urine in the toilet
- Unreported damage beyond normal wear
Because these issues exceeded normal use and were not disclosed, they required cleaning and repair.
Pet-Related Issues
You were allowed to keep a pet as a courtesy, with an additional charge, though damage caused by the pet was not reported as required by your lease. This contributed to forfeiture of the security deposit.
Maintenance Access Attempts
Regarding the electrical issue:
An electrician attempted to contact you three separate times to schedule repairs. When those attempts were unsuccessful, we provided his direct contact information to you. The final communication we received from you was “thank you,” with no further indication that access was needed. Without further notice, we understood the matter to be resolved.
Concerns About the Neighboring Property
We were aware of the plumbing issue next door, and repairs—including flooring replacement—were completed after the neighboring tenant reported the problem. However, issues with another tenant’s home do not affect security-deposit eligibility under your lease.
Security Deposit Determination
The decision not to return your deposit was based on:
-Breaking the lease by not providing a full 30-day notice
-Excessive cleaning and repairs required after move-out
-Pet-related damage
These terms were outlined clearly in the lease agreement.
We regret that your experience in Cullman was not what you hoped for, and we genuinely wish you the best moving forward. However, we stand by our assessment, which is supported by documented records, communication logs, and photographs taken at move-out.

Negative experience: They set me up in an apartment that had holes in multiple doors. The apartment they had me in had signs of past leaks. The landlord always was hard to get ahold of, even if you did call the office. Also, they did not maintain anything that was broken in the apartment, like the stove or bathtub when they broke. The landlord had certain favorites and seemed to take sides. I'm sure Doyle Real Estate as a whole isn't that bad, but my landlord was horrible. Terrible service from him.
