Fantastic experience: We are new to the state of Nevada and unfamiliar with the crazy market here in Reno. Joanne Tiernan took our hands and walked us through it seamlessly. Fantastic experience: I am a veteran, was using my VA loan, and had started to work with another realtor. However, the interaction I was receiving didn't feel right. Everything had been through email and the realtor hadn't even mentioned meeting in person. it all felt very Empty, so to speak. After some research, I found Joanne, and she was absolutely Fantastic to work with. She called almost immediately after I had emailed her and her very first words were asking when we could meet to get a feel for what I was looking for. She is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to VA loans and, her approach in Educating the future home owner was very refreshing and welcome. She was able to tell us about coding, what inspectors would be looking for, and Should be looking for, and little things in each house that could be a potential issue, possible updates, and general info. Questions about AC versus swamp coolers were readily answered. Fantastic experience: Joanne is a real ace. We started looking in Reno in March 2021. We were living in the Bay Area at the time and we were looking at homes in Sparks but we still had to sell our home in SF. Joanne suggested to sell first and buy after. So that’s what we did finally in October 2021. Between March and October we were texting and sending listings to Joanne asking what she thought. Questions about communities, taxes, HOA’s, land you name it we asked it. Joanne always responded immediately. We also had been preapproved and reapproved with Jennifer from Guild Mortgage also recommended by Joanne. Finally when our house sold we went out to see few homes. Some homes were 30 miles away. So on Friday evening we found our perfect home and said ok let’s put in an offer. Turned out offer deadline was 24 hours later. On Saturday our offer was in and we were bidding against someone else. Joanne had our loan officer on hand to approve our upward bids and we got the home. I mean seriously Joanne and Jennifer from Guild mortgage were on point and got us our dream home in North Reno. This was our second home purchase and by far the best. I arrived in Reno mid June 2020 and she showed me several places that I could afford. When it came time for the home inspection, I asked her to recommended several businesses for me to choose from.
