Fantastic experience: I lived with Home in Laramie for 5 years. I switched properties a few times, but always stuck with their management group. They don't really bother you as long as you are following the lease and they reach out in a timely manner for any issues reported. I worked with Abel and Troy and they are both friendly and helpful. Some maintenance requests can take awhile if they aren't urgent, but that's usually issues with the contractors. I would recommend them over other Laramie property management groups, who can be pretty hit or miss.

However I am leaving a review now because the current management company I am dealing with (RE1) is so absolutely atrocious, it made me think back to my experience with Home In Laramie which was phenomenal. Shout out to Home In Laramie and Abel! Not one single problem with these very kind and professional people.

Fantastic experience: Rented through them for 2 years in a cute lovely home that we very much enjoyed. Troy is an amazing landlord very respectful kind and over all leaves you alone unless there’s issues. We were ready to grow into a bigger place and wanted to keep our great service and loyalty with home in Laramie and they helped us find a new apartment. Unfortunately the transition to the new place and new landlord communications did not go well at all. Abel was managing the new property and communicating was a nightmare and conditions of the new place were too. I had brought all of my concerns to Jordan the owner of the company and he worked magic!!! Was able to resolve the new property issue along with showing us some other gorgeous timely homes of Laramie. It was an unfortunate issue, but was resolved with grace and wonderful communication and human connection.

Negative experience: My Landlord Jeanette, was a horrible landlord for me and my roommates to have. We had many issues with her, she was never responsive, unfair, and abusive of her power. In her defense we did have a roommate who did not take care of the house and had a dog she didn’t take of very well. Instead of working with us to come up with a solution she came up with a lie, saying the property owners wanted to do renovations to the inside of the house, and they we going to have the house empty for the next year. Come to find out they are already signing new tenants not even 2 months later. So, our landlord decided to kick us out of our house two months before the lease ended leaving us scrambling for a new place to live. Jeanette was a terrible landlord and I hope no one has to deal with her.

Fantastic experience: I rented an apartment from Home In Laramie for the first year I was in town. They have an online portal that makes it easy to pay rent, get lease copies, report maintenance issues, and just communicate with the team. It’s a good use of systems. They had a good selection of apartments in multi-apartment units in nice neighborhoods. I got one that had just been renovated with all the new appliances I could want. Their portal handled auto-pay and auto stopped it when my lease ended. The lease says to get a professional cleaning done when you move out or Home In Laramie will get one. I chose the second option and they did that. It was under $200, which I consider reasonable for a professional service. I got my deposit back, minus the cleaning fee, with no hassle. I’d definitely rent from them again. I only moved because I found someplace longer term. I’d definitely recommend them and rent from them again.

Negative experience: Not great! I have rented with them for nearly 3 years. Their communication is terrible. They will rarely (if ever) respond to any forms of communication. They do not fix problems, generally pushing them off so they are another tenant's issue. They don't keep their word. If you discuss how something will go, it will definitely not go that way. This property management company is truly just as scummy as the rest of them in Laramie. I would say I don't recommend them, however every place in Laramie is this way. Not a good time Edit: Been informed that problems have come from the 3rd parties they use, which seems to hinder communication. However, Abel has been great and has since reached out to fix things. Which I appreciate.

Fantastic experience: I recently purchased a Home In Laramie, pun intended. The service i received from Jordan and Jarin as my agents was exceptional. There were a great many hurdles to jump through, none of which the team at Home In Laramie came close to falling short of. The team was quick to respond to my inquiries and made the process seamless. We had issues with a lenders mistake which they handled expeditiously so we could close on time. I'm now in a home I love thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: It’s not often that selling a house is easy let alone enjoyable, but with Jordan Borgaard at Home in Laramie that’s exactly what it was! Having not sold a house before, we were initially intimidated by the process; lucky for us, Jordan provided expert advice, consistent updates, and helpful explanations throughout the process. Most importantly, he empowered us as first time home sellers and made it clear that he was in our corner every step of the way. He was especially helpful given that we were selling our home from the other side of the country; he facilitated showings, movers, repairs, and cleaning, all while we were 2000mi away. Jordan did all the heavy lifting, all we had to do was evaluate the offers that came in and sign on the dotted line. It was a true pleasure to work with Jordan and Home in Laramie, I cannot recommend them more highly!

Fantastic experience: I'm starting my second year of lease in August and I can say I've been having no major problems whatsoever with Home in Laramie. They've been kind and helpful, always. Once my stove stopped working, but it was quickly replaced. Any issue with the dryer and washer in the building was also quickly addressed. In January I paid my rent late, but they understood it was because of New Year's and didn't charge me a late fee. I receive a receipt after each payment and I was never asked to check previous payments. They helped me and my roommates in subleasing our apartment over the summer, what was pretty cool. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the communication by email. Sometimes, even if not always, I wasn't replied and needed to call multiple times or ask in person instead. But I'm looking forward to my next year of lease. I really like my apartment and it is cheap compared to others in the same location, what's wonderful for students coming to UW.

Fantastic experience: The rental we were in was managed by Jordan for 2 years and they were awesome. They were quick to respond for maintenance issues and even helpful on weekends. The rental we were at allowed our dog and they were super accommodating and helpful. Great company and people. 10/10

Fantastic experience: We just wrapped up Buying our first home with Jordan. He was amazing! He was able to find some first time home buyer a house in a crazy market. We had a lot of highs and lows in the process and he was there to keep us grounded and informed the whole time. I definitely recommend working with Home In Laramie for all of you home needs!

Negative experience: Still waiting on our window screen replacement at 3929 Bobolink per our buy-sale agreement almost 4 years ago with Jarin and Lifestyle Homes. It was ripped/damaged prior to our closing when the home builder had the home "professionally" cleaned. We would appreciate this getting resolved before any more time passes. Thank you.

Negative experience: Awful customer service and communication

Negative experience: I and my roommate submitted application for a place as they had directed us. We paid each 35 dollars and never got any answer back from them. So we had to go to their office in a while and a guy who did not even know what was going on told me that place is gone. That was it. We just lost $70 and opportunity cost and time like that which held us on the place so that we lost chances to find other places. Not reliable and irresponsible estate.

Negative experience: We rented from this management group for 3 years. Anytime we asked for something to be fixed it never got done. We took truckloads of trash from the property when we moved in. When we moved out we hired highly recommended carpet cleaning company. The carpets looked better than when we moved in. Home in Laramie had another company come out and do the carpets again so that they could charge us again. I would highly recommend reading the reviews on this company and use someone else.

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional keeps rentals up and available when not available anymore but still takes the app fee then lies about available property’s then when you ask about availability they are still available they are not knowledgeable of their jobs and incredibly rude.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Abel Ruiz from Home in Laramie, and he was very friendly, informative and responsive. I would highly recommend him to anyone without reservation.

Negative experience: Jarin managed my husband’s property in Laramie. When my husband passed away, Jarin said he’d help me as much as he could. He did quote the opposite. He never told me the renter moved out, I had to hire a lawyer to get the remaining rent that was paid, which he still hasn’t delivered any receipts or proof any money transfers, and he just completely stopped all communication. DO NOT go through this company for anything. He said he’d help me sell my house and we’d maybe get 85K for it, I sold it through a different company for 165K. It takes a special kind of evil to take advantage of a military family that lost their husband/father at 41 years old. Lack of communication, moral standard, professionalism, and over all couth. He should be embarrassed. I see my fellow victims of his business agree reading his reviews.

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend renting from them. They do not respond quickly (if at all) to phone calls and emails. Never their during their business hours. They do not respond to service requests quickly and wouldn't tell us when they would be coming. Overall very neglectful especially to tenants of their houses rather than their apartments.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I rented a house through Home in Laramie (property managed by Jeanette) for almost a year. We made a few requests for repairs when we moved in and they sent over a repairman who went above and beyond in fixing our problems. We decided to terminate our lease early and Jeanette was wonderful at helping us navigate through the process of subleasing and buying a home. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: My daughter rented a place from Home in Laramie. She paid 4 months rent in advance on a regular basis, yet Jeanette managed to "lose" her rent monthly and send several calls and texts stating rent was late even though it was paid months in advance. Contacting a live human in the office was a constant trial and responses were slow all year. Jeanette managed to 'lose' the record of my daughter's deposit and then proceeded to try and bill her for repairs that were not done. Maybe the other people in the Home in Laramie office are more professional and better at keeping records, but Jeanette was a constant pain to contact and deal with. If you do rent from her, demand reciepts and keep meticulous records because she is incapable or unwilling to do so.

Negative experience: Could be a 5-star, could be a 3-star, no reply after emails and phone calls sent. That's a 1-star. This was my first impression, and my last.

Negative experience: We have a rental that we got through this company. When we moved in nothing was done or cleaned. We took two truckloads of trash from the backyard. The maintaince guy was there the first week as we were trying to get moved in . There are still items not fixed and we are on our second month. We asked for a compensation on the rent and were denied and told that things would eventually get fixed or cleaned.

Fantastic experience: Home In Laramie did a fantastic job of helping with a property management problem involving a bad tenant and a prior poor property management company. Our property now looks great, updates were accomplished and a well-qualified tenant has moved in. I am grateful and so appreciative of the great advice and assistance that the whole staff provided. I highly recommend the property management service at Home In Laramie.
