Negative experience: Judy is nice until you rent from her. Everything is always "since i did this for you" as if it isn't her job to take care of the units that she is the MANAGER over. Super nasty to all the workers she hires and they even dread dealing with her. I've watched so many people leave as soon as their lease was done because of the mold, roofs leaking, and almost every person i talked to had plumbing issues that aren't being fixed. It takes them months to do anything so the office girls will tell you its faster to fix it yourself. RUN from miller. They target people down on their luck. 0/10 would not recommend them and if no stars was available I would choose that. The units need to be inspected before people get sicker than they already are.

Negative experience: Mold is in almost every single unit and they have no clue how to properly clean or dispose of it.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I think I have to add a “first” type of experience with a “professional” company. And that is being completely ghosted about a potential rental. They’ll take your money and was very kind up front, even called me over the weekend to continually talk about the home.. but then once you get all your documents into them, you are just ghosted. Even calling to follow up you’ll get “I’ll call you by the end of the day” or “I have to talk to this person”. Then.. nothing. It’s such an odd business practice to just be completely ignored once handing over private and secure information and documents. Makes you wonder.

Fantastic experience: Rented from them for 20 years, good people.

Negative experience: We drove 3 hours from Illinois to look at a house in Waynesville only to be called, when 90 miles to go, that the occupant was not home and we.could not see the home. Had to turn around and drive 3 hours back home. 6 hours wasted. Agent knew a week in advance we were coming and gave us the go-ahead to make the trip. Mary was unresponsive, unreliable and unprofessional. Cannot recommend her.

Negative experience: One of the worst companies in the area the prices are cheap I’ll give them that but majority of the times you’ll be living in the rough parts of town. You have to consistently be on them to fix something and majority of the time they use the cheapest option to do a temporary fix that doesn’t last long. They will do absolutely everything in their power to keep all of your deposit like write a hand written receipt for “interior cleaning” and lightbulbs that were replaced before moved out

Fantastic experience: My family and I just started renting a house through Miller Real Estate. The staff is very courteous and caring and the properties are well maintained. Since this is a freshly redone property there are going to be some problem areas here and there of which we fully understand. When I call the office to report a problem they are genuinely concerned and are very prompt to rectifying the problem almost immediately. As a new renter through Miller real-estate I am pleased.

Negative experience: I am a current tenant at a house managed by Miller Real Estate Inc. I pay $900 per month and have been at this house for about 1.5 years. What do you think my $15,300 have gone towards? It hasn't gotten any of the numerous items noted on our move-in checklist fixed (to include broken windows, soiled carpet, broken countertops, interior&exterior doors that won't close, rusted out HVAC ducting, less than useless dishwasher and many more issues). Let's just reiterate this. A year and a half later, none of those have been addressed. Some things have been, but only when they have become so dire that the issue at hand became extremely dangerous. Most notably, a garage door nearly fell on me. I got out of the way, and was left with a partially closed and entirely stuck garage door. The appointment I was given was nearly a month out. Thankfully I am mechanically inclined and could remove it myself (though incurring a few cuts that would likely not have occured with the proper equipment), but that was not my responsibility. More recently, an ignored maple (15 feet from the house) invaded the septic and flooded the basement with sewage (mostly not ours, mind you ). It took them nearly two weeks to get it replaced. This is because of the sloth-like sense of initiative and willingness to inconvenience tenants if it saves them a buck. What happens when that maple finds the foundation? While I am sure many think this, I would assume we have been quite tolerable clients. We have always paid in full and on time. We have worked toward the improvement and beautification of the property (more so than they have), we have maintained all areas and minimized any potential wear and tear. Is it too much for them to hold true to their duty, show genuine integrity, and honor their promises not just to us but to the owners? I'm sure that if Miller Real Estate Inc. replies, it will be one of their generic, half-hearted attempts to safe face, but I'm not buying. Any why would I? "I'm sorry you feel that way" sounds a lot like "you're upset, and we don't really care". Half-baked faux apologies do not fix the windows. Update: It's now near on 2 full years. All the while, none of the issues have been addressed. We have attempted contact through multiple avenues, but to no avail. They have no problem sending out emails about new listings halfway across the country, but can't answer an email, Facebook message, or honor their word given through the phone or in person. I strongly warn against going through Miller, as they will hone in on any shortcut they can.

Fantastic experience: I have rented through this agency for 4 years and have had a good experience with the. They are the only agency that I plan to use.

Negative experience: Run, Run as fast as you can. Miller Real Estate is ran by sisters who don't know how to Follow up and are not well organized. They will screw you on a move out inspection and are rude. With issues, I had to call multiple times to have any issues solved. I wish that I would have walked out of their office when I got my original bad impression. The house that I was renting had been placed on the market because Miller failed to let the owners know that the lease had been extended. They also don't have direct deposit and are a bit archaic in any bill pay options. One of the happiest moments in my life was knowing that Mary Miller would never have to dialed from my phone again.

Negative experience: I called to ask about a rental and was immediately disappointed in the service. The lady who answered the phone was rude and wouldn’t let me ask questions about the rental. Basically treated me like I was stupid for calling to ask. I have horrible anxiety so this really upset me. I’m stressed trying to find a place and you think that as someone who helps people for a living she could at least be polite. Makes me not want to rent from their agency at all Response: The housing requirements have nothing to do with what I am stating. The customer service is what I am complaining about. Every person is going to ask questions about a house they plan to live in with their family. The second the phone call was answered there was already an attitude, maybe she had a rough day, but that’s not an excuse. It was unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience. Rented a house from Mary for almost 2 years. Mary and her staff are wonderful and treated me like family, love that small town atmosphere. Any issues with the house were addressed promptly. Mary assisted my wife and I with looking for a house to purchase as well and though we didn’t end up buying anything, she was very helpful and accommodating. I moved out of the house when I retired from the military. That was the easiest move out ever. Mind you that my wife and I took good care of the house, did our part in making sure it was clean and having the carpets cleaned per the lease agreement. We were good, respectful, responsible tenants and they were great, attentive landlords. If we were to ever come back to that area, I would go to them first to rent or buy. Miss y’all and hope all is well.

Fantastic experience: I live in one of their properties and have never gotten any issues. They will work with you and always willing to work with you if something happens. They’re also family operated. They will never visit you for inspection unless something terrible happens. The bad part is having to always remember when rent is due and going to make payment on time. They don’t have online payment options but I was able to pay with BillPay but always had to pay about a week or two before month end to allow timely processing. All the same I’m still living in the apartment and I enjoy it.

Negative experience: My husband's father's home was listed through them. Miller did not maintain the property as promised.

Negative experience: not military friendly. even if you have good credit, if you've lived in the barracks your entire military career they won't even look at your application. way to run a real estate company in an army town.

Negative experience: Went for a viewing of 708 hospital lane. The place was was filthy, the appliances were probably from the 70's, and it smelled of cat urine. Also they gave me a key to the back door so I had to walk around into the woods just to get inside. They didnt even send an agent out with me to try and explain, they just said here take a key and go look at it. I recommend not renting from this business.

Negative experience: Definitely hasn't been a pleasant experience from day one. We arrived from 350 miles away on a set date and picked up the key. We entered the home it had not even been cleaned!! We contacted Miller Reality. We were given the contact information for the cleaning company for us to take care of. We ended up having to stay in a hotel. The carpets to this day are disgusting. They definitely like to pass the blame on someone else. I contacted them two months ago about another issue . Here I am still waiting on that. EXTREMELY UNPERFESSIONAL!!

She really made the whole experience fantastic easy to understand and almost a joy. Then when we left when the military called us elsewhere we decided to rent the home and we continued to use Miller real estate and it's been almost seven years now and they continue to be exceptional. They have always gotten wonderful renters in our home. They are always are on top of everything whether it be repairs or updates. Truly this is an exceptional, exceptional real estate agency. I highly recommend Miller real estate to anyone in this area, anyone looking to purchase a home, or anyone looking to rent a home. I truly cannot imagine anyone doing a better job. I absolutely trust my home with Miller real estate.

Negative experience: Maryanne in the office is great . Everyone else not so much. They won't fix anything. They will give you a number to call if something is broke and those people don't answer half the time. Very unprofessional. My sink and kitchen light were broke the entire year and a half I lived there. Also they will do anything to keep your entire deposit and that includes duplicate charges at your cost for the same service.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience finding a place to rent with Miller Real Estate. Overall they made my first renting experience as stress free as possible. I will be stationed at FLW and wanted a home nearby. Addition to the two houses my wife and I came in to look at, Marianna suggested us three more houses for us to look at. One house in particular she suggested was slightly above the price we were looking to rent at, but we liked it better than all the other houses. After my wife and I explored the houses, we were down two houses to choose from. It was between one of the houses we came in to look at and the suggested house mentioned earlier. Since I will be at FLW for a few years, Marianna said she could negotiate with the owner about coming down on the price. After sleeping on the decision, my wife and I came in the next day and Marianna gave us the good news that the owner would come down slightly on the price. So now my wife and I have a beautiful new rental that we are proud to call home and we could not have done it if it were not for Marianna. She also helped with turning on the water, the public water office's printer was not working. She made an extra copy of our licenses so we can give the public water office a copy. I would recommend this business.
