Negative experience: Still waiting two days for a return phone call regarding a property that they had available for rent. No response to my wife either. The point of leaving your phone number is to have people call you. Leave a message during business hours. Two days later still nothing so I guess you’re never open. If available. It’s called common courtesy Enjoy, I guess you had a bad day Can’t imagine how you actually run your other properties…

Fantastic experience: Fire next door to my apt, damage done to the walls and doors to my apartment. The response time to fix these issues was more than I can ask for. Fantastic experience: I am a tenant at one of the properties managed by Parasole. They are extremely easy to work with and their turn around time with responses is FAST! From the minor issues I’ve experienced the responses were answered within a half an hour and they came out the same day! The property manager actually came out just the other day and he was great. He talked to me and my neighbor explained the problem. The place is absolutely beautiful, my kids and I are happy and we hope to be here for many more years! Thank you Ron for everything!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have very much enjoyed our time renting a unit from Parasole Properties. They respond promptly to all our maintenance requests and have even done large-scale renovations to make our property safer. They do not raise rent unexpectedly and are very friendly to communicate with. Some of our friends also rent from Parasole Properties, and they have only had good things to say. You can feel confident renting from Parasole!

Negative experience: Never called me back about the apartment I wanted. I even paid the background check fee. When they did email me, they called me by the wrong name. They didn't even bother to type, just copy/paste a convo they had with someone else. So not happy with this company!

Negative experience: Deceiving. Claims to run back ground check to check for warrants and evictions only (according to website and application) but this is not the case.

Negative experience: Not an equal opportunity housing. They discriminate based on gender. Single moms need not apply.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Wait! It’s a glitch in the system not my fault. I seen a listing with a affordable price but when I asked to see it I automatically received a much higher price and was guided to fill out a application not a time to see this property. When I asked why the price is higher he said he has nothing to do with the listing, it is a glitch in the system that generates the post on his page. Wait! then why wasn’t the problem fixed? I had to complain with emails to change the supposedly glitch Could it be a bait and switch to have people look on his listings? Come on we see this all the time right? But here’s what bothers me. He emailed me back saying I shouldn’t waste my time bothering him and if I think I can find a place at the original price I seen I am naïve because that price couldn’t get me a run down condemned house. My opinion is the place from the outside isn’t the greatest looking.The bottom line is I took the time to respond to his listing and was told it’s my fault and not his at all or his companies. It’s a glitch in the system. Wow! People need help not a glitch in the system.

Negative experience: I had a brief experience with them trying to get an apartment. I did not have any problem with Jessica initially, she was actually quite helpful in assisting with my earnings info. From what I understand if an applicant is turned down it should be with done with somewhat of a scripted letter or email. What I didn’t appreciate and found To be very distasteful was the personal email we received from Jessica who seemed to be judging us on our credit scores in writing things like “well you settled with them for 1/3 of what you owed. What does she care? Yes I was in a debt negotiation program that I paid $420 a month to for the purpose of negotiating and these companies agreed to a price so why is she all uptight about it judging me adding her personal effect into it. The notice of non approval should be generic and professional. Anybody can fall on hard times. Did she bother to add her two cents about the mercedes benz I had paid off in 2 years, or how many credit cards I paid off and closed, of course not. Just seems to want to kick somebody when their down. Credit cards were delinquent but no history of eviction. Sometimes people gotta do what they gotta do and pay the things that are most important like for a roof over their head. And if you must stick to your policies great, however hard times don’t last forever. A simple letter of rejection is much more professional and would be well received. I’m in a great apartment right now. I always have remained true to who I am, when I was doing well, and when struggling. You never know whats coming down the tracks so seemingly judgmental people are not my cup of tea. And one more thing- I tend to find the comments added onto low ratings seem to be much more credible than the positive ratings. The positives are just not elaborating enough as to why things are so great and perfect. The negative ratings reak of genuine feelings and feedback being put on the table.

Fantastic experience: Ron managed a two family home that I owned after I moved out. He handled pretty much everything and I was pleased. He also reached out when he had an investor looking to buy a home and I ended up selling the house without having to go through the hassle of listing or advertising. I was happy when I got the offer.

Negative experience: Judgmental cold hearted people. They will take your money and you will get nothing. Shame on them

Positive experience: Not fair treatment for a good tenant.

Fantastic experience: Ron and his company have managed my investment property for the last six years. I cannot say enough good things about them. After trying to manage the property myself for several years from many miles away, I made the decision to retain Parasole Property and I never looked back. After doing so, I never had to worry about getting phone calls from tenants with complaints as he took care of everything. I would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Parasole Property is the best property management in the Scranton area. You never lose sight of your client- the owners. Scranton is one of the toughest areas to do residential property management services, and your company has “knocked it out of the park”. The other great point is your maintenance program. Negative experience: Thieves. Stole nearly half of my security deposit. Claimed it was mostly for "cleaningng fees" which was absurd and illegal. My roommates and I scrubbed the place top to bottom on our way out. There were some minor scratches on the wall (back of our recliner had some of the frame sticking out) but no other damage. Certainly not $500 worth. They were ok while I was living there (not good but not terrible), but after that stunt I will NEVER rent from a property manged by them again and I warn everyone I meet to avoid them too. I have passed up properties I would have rented to avoid dealing with these crooks. Never again. EDIT: To be clear we DID receive an itemized list. That's how I know the justification was cleaning and not damages.

Negative experience: I live in a house in front of one of their properties. They recently had a company come in and do a roof. The company ruined my pool! They didn’t even give us the common courtesy to knock on our door and tell us to cover our pool & they used OUR yard and OUR pool cover to put the debris when they were cleaning the roof off. It’s been two plus months and I’m still trying to get the roofing debris out of my pool. I had to buy a new pump, a new vacuum plus everyday I have spent out there trying to vacuum over and over. We have tried calling but we get a recording saying our calls can’t go through. I’m wondering if my number is blocked. We want someone to own up to the damages they did. I wish I could post pictures. I work hard for what I have and my kids can’t enjoy the pool for the summer. They are fully aware of the damages and fully aware that we are upset and havent even tried to rectify the situation. PARASOLE PROPERTIES, I want the name of the roofing company!! Due to COVID 19 I haven’t been able to pursue any legal actions but I am now.

Fantastic experience: I've been a tenant with Parasole Property for a few years now. They are great to work with and are a little flexible with me with getting the rent in each month. If anything went wrong (i.e. pest or property maintenance) they were willing to help get to the root of the problem in a quick and efficient manner. Can't thank them enough!

Negative experience: Tried to qualify for an apartment that is 490.00 a month. Which would leave me approximately 250.00 for the rest of the month and they say I don't reach min. Income. But yet I spent the last 10.years paying almost 600+ . I think it just boils.down to they dont like low.income people.or.giving them a chance

Fantastic experience: This is Green Man Exterminator a 5 star pest control company. It's always a pleasure to work for Parasole Properties. He takes care of his tenants and his contractors. Not many property management companies go this far and they really care. I would give 10 stars if I could!!

Fantastic experience: I am a remote property owner who relies on Parasole to manage my portfolio in Scranton. I have found Ron and his team to be extremely responsive and pro-active in addressing concerns with the buildings. They perform in a very ethical manner and always with my best interests in mind. It must be stated that many of the properties in Scranton are very old and many have not been maintained properly. These are facts of days gone by. Scranton is in a renaissance of sorts and the buildings are getting updated and repaired all over town. Ron is a great resource and is ethical in the way he deals with my buildings and tenants. I believe he is contributing to the betterment of the Scranton area as a whole. I would highly recommend him to other property owners and potential tenants looking for a fair and ethical landlord who takes every ones best interests to heart.

Negative experience: This is absolutely the worst company I have ever rented from ! My kids were sick for 7 weeks because of the mold in the bathroom that they would not fix ! I had leak after leak in my tub, toilet and sink and nothing ever got touched!! When they did come and “try” to fix the problems the 5 or 6 times that they did, things were left undone and they never put my wall back on correctly so nails were sticking out that put multiple holes in our clothes and even had scratched my sons arm pretty bad as he was getting up from the potty! My sink problem was left unattended and eventually fell through soaking everything under my sink that I had bought and stored under there ! I had to do my dishes in my tub!!! How unsanitary!!! Especially with a 1 and 4 year old !!! I have been living with 3 burners on my stove for over a year because they never wanted to replace it! I cannot wait to find a new home for my family so we can live happily at last ! It’s been nothing but hell since they took over the property that I live at !! Not to mention we have a washer and dryer that costs Over the amount to begin with in the basement and they do not work! Have they been fixed ? NOPE!! They don’t keep up with maintenance, the grass has been high all year so my kids haven’t played outside in there own yard all summer!!!! When they say there coming they don’t or at a whole different time or day at there convenience! Before summer had started they said they were going to replace the heaters because they weren’t safe and we froze all winter and they have yet to do them still and winter is coming up so we will be freezing again!! They didn’t want to fix the downstairs leak so decided to caulk it and then send us a letter saying we will have to pay for future damages!!! Even though they didn’t fix our problem that was causing it!! At one point I sent pics and msgs of everything that was wrong and I wanted fixed or I was going to spend my rent money on the materials and I was ignored for 3 days and the only response I got was... when do u think we will have rent ? My answer is when my stuff is fixed!There is really so much negativity I can say but I don’t have time because here I go again doing dishes in the tub after I worked all day!!Don’t ever rent from them !! Look for as long as you have to before resorting to these slumlords ! And btw I have to leave 1 star in order to leave the review! THEY DONT DESERVE ANY STARS !!!

Negative experience: As one of their tenants i think its better that all the landlords that are paying PPMA, that all you are paying them for is, someone to take our money and give it you, that's it. PPMA Did not hold up owner's end of house maintence as agreed upon. (Mowing lawn/Electrical issues/fixing deck) No one came to even look at the house ever. They had no idea of the state of the house and property because they were never there. Calling them is pointless, all they tell you is email them. Response time is leasurely on there time. Unpersonal, uncaring, in it for the money.

Fantastic experience: I never personally rented from these ppl,but a very close friend did..i must say looking thru all your rentals including hers ,your properties are beautiful.. Unfortunately My friend moved out of the state but she once told me if she were to ever come back to Pa that Parasole properties would be THE ONLY PPL She would even consider going thru, & if you knew her you would know thats a huge statement.She is very particular and is OCD when it comes to certain areas in Life.... Its nice to see owner's/managers take care their properties vs.just collecting the rent and turning a blind eye..

His wife Margaret helped me in every way to inform me of what I needed to set up here prior moving.The move went smooth, and I just loved the apartment that I rented from them. Ron is right on top of everything , snow removed, grass cut outside, and if you need anything he gets it done right away.This property management co. is run by true professionals, and there is no way that you could go wrong when you do business with good people.I just bought my own home , and I would recommend them to anyone who may be looking to rent or a owner looking to have someone manage their property!

I've had various property managers in the area over the past 7 years, and Ron has been the most effective. I recently transferred management of 2 larger properties to Parasole because of the good work they've provided over the past year.

Fantastic experience: I hired Ron Parasole and his company to manage the rental of my home in Duryea in the fall of 2013. I have been really pleased with the service I have received from him and his company. Right from the first day he has taken care of all that has to be done. Prior to rental some repair work had to be done. Ron had his crew take care of it. He emailed me pictures of the completed work. It looked great. He was able to place a renter in my home quickly - right around 6 weeks. The renter pays on time or early every month. I get my rent promptly. Payments are automatically deposited into my account. I had managed the rental of my home for many years prior to hiring Ron's company. It was always difficult to do this since I live in Illinois. It's such a relief now to have Ron's company do it and to know that anything necessary will be done well.

Fantastic experience: My experience is and always has been excellent. The house I am currently renting is managed quite well, maintenance is fast, rent is affordable, and the area is simply lovely. I was able to call and quickly set up a showing for the apartment I am currently living in, I began to feel like I was unable to find an affordable apartment in a nice area. After a few showings of other apartments I finally found one that was right for me. The convenience of the office and the website is something that I love, because I can always fit things into my busy schedule that way. Response is prompt, and they worked with me to help me find my dream place. I would never go to anyone else!
