Negative experience: I rent a property that remax manages. Today I have a maintenance Emergency. My unit is flooding due to a plumbing issue. I am unable to use any water in the house. I was told, "Im in Galveston, theres no one I can call today" So the water will get worse and the damage will continue. What a shame. I hope the owner watches these reviews. This is damage that should be addressed immediately!

Negative experience: If I could give this place less stars, I would- on one person - Brian Henry. He took over as the new landlord, as we were moving out. Tried to charge us for everything: $20 dollars for a light bulb- all the light bulbs worked. $150 for touch up paint- it wasn't even painted before we moved in, and most landlords paint in between people moving in and out, and after 2 years, it's normal wear and tear. $65 for a wall repair- nothing was wrong with any of the walls, we left them like they were when we moved in, but actually clean. The place is a fire waiting to happen per swepco, and the AC man. You can not run 2 things at once- like a hair dryer and microwave, or the electricity blows the breaker. You can not run a small electric heater, or it does the same thing. I tried to meet him several times to do a walk through, but he kept making excuses, so I finally left the keys on the bar. I never got my money bavk for paying someone to come open the windows- they painted all of them shut and sealed them. I would think that was against some kind of code, since none of the windows could open. I would NOT recommend Brian Henry for any kind of rental or to buy from.

Negative experience: I leased a property from Becky Easley, was on time with payment for the term excluding one month due to an ice storm. Thought everything was fine, till the roof started leaking before Halloween, it till Becky 2.5 months to get the roof leak fixed if you want to call it that. The roof didn't leak however, the maintenence crew used old insulation and didn't replace it correctly, which made my utilities increase by 200%. When I mentioned to her that the insulation was improperly installed and that was the reason formy utilities having increased she advised me to call utility company and opt into cost averaging... now since we've moved out and have been waiting for the deposit refund, she's charging me $425 for yard maintenence and $15 for a light bulb. I understand that if the yard wasn't satisfactory, I should pay to have it to satisfactory, but not to that expense, maybe $1-200 maybe, and since when did light bulbs become $15?

Fantastic experience: Before our 14 hour drive from Nebraska to Texas, we had a realtor lined up to show us a house. By the time we got to Texas and checked into our hotel, our realtor had bailed on us. We walked into REMAX hoping they would be able to help us. The very nice woman at the front desk introduced us to Kelly. Kelly helped us negotiate a price on the house and within 48 hours we had settled on buying our forever home. Kelly's awesomeness didn't end there, before the ink was dry on the whole house inspection, she was calling to get free estimates on the major repairs. Not only is Kelly our realtor, she is our new best friend. Thank you Kelly! You are much appreciated.

Negative experience: Beware this is a Racist Real Estate Company!!!!!! My uncle applied for a rental property through RE/MAX and he was the very first applicant to apply for this certain property. They could not give any excuse as to why he didn’t qualify. He makes 5 times the rent and has good credit. After waiting for more than a week, he went to the office to check the status of his application. It had already been rented even though he was the first to apply. They didn’t have an answer, but had to audacity to say we have other properties you can choose from, but all of those properties were in the hood or low income areas.

Negative experience: Sure, since you insist. Your people do not do their job and due diligence when it comes to property “management.”

Fantastic experience: Wife and I were so pleased with Remax Preferred. Our real estate agent Michael Donovan was their for us in our selling and buying process. Remax preferred is the right choice in buying and selling. They are professional and Michael Donovan was a great realtor. He was their for us on all our questions, concerns. Michael just made the process so smooth in selling and buying. If your buying or selling in the Arklatex REMAX is definitely 5 stars in my experience.

Positive experience: I left 3 messages to find out about a listing. One that is not on their website. Called again today and no one will tell you anything. Just I can take your name and number and have an agent call you back. Today, Monday a very nice gentleman called me and apologized for the wait for a call back. He answered all my questions and those he did not have answers to. He said her will find out and call me back. Jason helped change my mind about ReMax Preferred. Thank you, Sir for caring enough to find and fix an issue

Negative experience: I contacted a realtor about a property to make an offer to buy, the realtor's assist stated, "she busy, she'll call you back" I called and emailed nearly everyday and got the same response, which was no response! I got a call almost two months later from Becky saying "oh that house is under contract now but I can help you find something else...I said, "no thanks you didn't even respond to my emails, texts, and waited two months to respond. your lack of communication, says enough." Buyer Beware don't waste your time.
