Brandon, we are sorry that the apartment that you have rented for the last year has other building nearby that you are unhappy with. We have no control over the neighboring units or the noise in the area. You may want to search for a rental that is secluded. Let us know if you can help you with that.

Negative experience: Bad communication
Hi Lenny, I looked at our rental departments software system and see where we were in communication with you back in February of this year regarding a rental. It shows that we emailed you 3 times. You opened 2 of the emails, the last one was not opened. Sorry we were not able to assist you in finding a rental at the time.

Positive experience: I called San Juan Realty when my sister had like cked herself out of the house. They were very helpful and willing to give me their only extra key and let me drop it off the next day, because it was so close to closing time. Unfortunately it was the wrong key. We were eventually able to access the house and made 3 copies of the right key. One to hide one for San Juan Realty and one for me, just in case. They apologized and were able to label the right key for the house.

Negative experience: I was denied the right to rent from here because of who my ex husband is. It had nothing to do with my ability to pay or the simple fact that we've been divorced for over 12 years now. My mind was blown when I was told the reason for the denial. I don't know how to reply to these so I hope you see this. Lela Holmes was the one my mother and I were dealing with... who is also a friend of my ex mother in law. But I'm pretty sure she never even ran the application once she seen who was applying. Discrimination at its finest

Negative experience: If I could put 0 stars I would. The new property manager for rentals that took over our house is horrible at communication and is disrespectful and rude. We had a tree fall over in our back yard that we put multiple work orders I'm over 2 years to get removed. She didn't even ask if we were ok or if the house was damaged. The city came out to fix the electricity. Then the next day we got a 30 day notice to vacate with no explanation. The house is falling apart the ceiling has been craving in over the last 2 years that still hasn't been fixed and our heater went out month ago and we had to supply our own space heaters and pay for the extra electricity. If you deal with San Juan realty do NOT go through Crystal Snow! The absolute worst property manager
We are sorry that you feel this way.
Regarding the tree, that was not dead when you moved in but over your tenancy has died; you lease states that you are responsible for watering and pruning. The owner did have a vendor lined out to do the removal. That tree trimmer did cancel and was sick for a time. Unfortunately we do not have access to their schedules and we do not have an in house maintenance technician. I have gone back to the work orders from 2018 and as of 2021 is the first I have found regarding the tree for removal.
We are thankful that you and your family are safe from the tree following over.
The work order regarding the heater was that it was LOUD "hard to sleep at night with the noise" not that it had stopped working. We were able to get an estimate and approval from a local HVAC company who has you on your schedule. Which you were informed of and that it might be a two day install and at that point you may need an additional heat source. We were never notified that it was not working at all.
The 30 day notice came from the request of the Owner and as you stated the house needs repairs after you have lived there since 2018. Stephanie explained to you on the phone that with repairs needed the owner feels it will be easier to address with a vacant home.
Positive experience: Never got an answer or reply.

Negative experience: If I could give them 0 stars I would! I literally almost died in one of there rental properties from carbon monoxide poisoning and the guy Richard literally said "not my problem". They literally do not care about any of their tenants and have no compassion what so ever. Do not use them for rentals or anything else for that matter. We just called DOH and BBB and they are going to fully look into all this for us. (Response to owner) And they were actually notified right after the incident occurred by multiple parties but no one came by to check on ANYTHING! and in no way has my fiance (who is on the lease) have tried to break the lease any other time! Thank you for you well worded response though.
Our office asked you for verification the fire department had to fix a gas leak as they don’t do those kinds of things typically with not being licensed plumbers. Normally they Red Tag a unit a wait for a qualified person to repair. None of which you reported to our office until after the fact, if it did in fact even occur. Had you or your family nearly died or been in danger the fire department would have been in contact with us. We have dealt with other gas leaks in the past, which cannot always be prevented even with regular maintenance that our vendors do. We have always corrected those issues immediately. We did honor your request to let you out of your lease six months early as well after repeated attempts trying to get out of the lease for various reasons. We are also giving you the deposit back less any cleaning/damages. Also you were technically not even our tenant and not even on the lease. Hopefully you can find a rental that better meets your needs. You also still have never provided a proof of the call or repair? The make a report anytime there is a call like that. We have requested multiple times.
Fantastic experience: If you need to buy a home and rent a place, then go to San Juan Realty. The staff are extra nice and and will go the extra mile for you. Go to Rose Mary, she will help you, plus Patrick and etc. They're all NICE.
Negative experience: Told me applications were in already. This is a rip off because 2 people will not be chosen and not receive refund for application fee. Only 1 application should be taken at a time. Property is kept on market to see how many people can be ripped off. I'm filing a complaint.
Negative experience: This company essentially scams you into renting/selling/buying to take your money. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE, BUY OR SELL!!!!! James Lesser, one of the workers, will lie to your face, and make illegal threats to scare you once you catch on to his BS. He is extremely unprofessional as well as San Juan Realty itself. Do not ignore bad reviews as I did!! The ones below are completely right. IN ADDITION TO MY FIRST REVIEW: I “was not a tenant” but yet my name was placed on an eviction notice when I never signed a lease, just another one of the illegal things San Juan Realty does. Also definitely some discrimination against particular tenants, once we were told to move out they let the other tenant stay, yet they say “they do not choose sides”. My review must be right somehow because this business has multiple terrible reviews, because it isn’t a good company.
Your mother was actually our tenant. The reason for your departure was at our request due to the numerous police complaints and trouble between Roomate’s. We cannot police your personal home nor take sides between tenants. After you moved out the situation resolved itself. We hope you found a better place that meets your needs. On an additional note you leave negative reviews on lots of businesses besides our as well. Nothing that you have written above is true. Also in addition most negative reviews are from tenants that were asked to leave including yourself. The eviction was completely legal and for more than any one reason that doesn’t need to be listed on here either. You are welcome to contact our office if you would like discuss factual information.
