Negative experience: They managed the property for a condo I owned in Corn Hill. Absolute joke. I sold because of their lack of competency. Run like hell if you are considering a property they "manage".

Negative experience: I live at the Strand.I have been here 18 years.Every year the outside maintenance gets worse and worse. Leaf removal wasn’t even done until Christmas Eve of this year. In the meantime leaves were blowing everywhere making a mess of everything. The snow removal here is a joke, every time the driveway are plowed it looks like it wasn’t even done,you have to climb over a snow bank to get out of your car. The mailboxes and the fire hydrants have never in the been cleared out,So when you go to get your mail, you have to climb over a snowbank and God forbid there’s a fire because they’ll never find the hydrant. The steps going into my front door are falling apart.I had to put a rug over the cracked concrete so that nobody falls.I contacted CROFTON and was told they didn’t have enough money this year to fix them ,other peoples are worse.The HOA keeps going up ever year and the service we get goes down.The maintenance company you are using are the worst ones it’s ever . You probably got them because they were the lowest bid in the area. Certainly looks like it now.!!You need to do better CROFTON !!!!!

Negative experience: Absolutely Horrible! This company does not want to take care of NOTHING! Barely takes care of the outdoor uptake. Will not take care of anything structural! Building is falling apart & they ignore. Crofton is just there to collect a paycheck.

Negative experience: Disappointed with how this company handles issues. Made contact with them regarding a roof problem and was initially told it would be dealt with. After waiting a few days I reached out again and was contacted by another person who basically told me why should they pay for it. Well, the roof is on the outside of the townhouse and last I heard they dealt with that. If I could get away from this HOA I would. Nothing but a big money grab!

Negative experience: I live in Whitridge community. If you want to be a part of an HOA that is biased, hypocritical and not kind humans; look no further. I’ve lived in my community for almost 7 years as an owner and one time I was late, I emailed as the letter directed to for financial hardship. I received a callous response and a threat of a lien slapped on me. It takes a special type of sad, miserable person that joins this board to treat their “neighbors” with such unkindness and cruelty.

Negative experience: Beacon Hills Association, I have lived here for 30 years, always respecting the rules and making my payments on time! When the association came up with with the special assessment I had to have my 6 spinal surgery in November and even mentioned at the meeting that I will be out of work for indefinitely and won’t be able to come up with $1.500 they pretty much enforced on every owner! To this day I’m still not able to work and live on SSD. Reaching out to Crofton association several times and explaining my situation gets me absolutely nowhere and on top of demanding $1.500 they keep adding late fees for the money not being paid! I have always paid my share in the past and got very little back from addressing certain issues and certain repairs that needed to take place and being totally ignored and brushed under the rug by the people running the association! Today I spoke with a new property manager named Dylan hoping to get some understanding of my current situation that again not only got me no where, he suggested that maybe I need to look for another place with the different accommodations! I am totally taken aback by the insensitivity to the situation I’m in and definitely feel like I have to address this issue to the higher sources!

Negative experience: I live at a small community,Aster Terrace, crofton recommended a construction company Brothers who, instead of repairing a 10 year old roof leak, proposed to replace the roof for $17600. This led to a special assessment and subsequently an increase in our Hoa fees because this job exhausted our reserve. I’d like to see what other companies proposed but they haven’t disclosed. Makes me believe that brothers needed business during 2021 after Covid and misled our board. We are struggling with one of the highest HOA FEES of $349. What we hear from Connie the manager is” it is what it is” inflation is 6% but why our fees were raised by 23% in 2021 and on up ever after? I have recommended we cut ties with this expensive mismanagement company.

Negative experience: I’ve had a pine tree that stretches over my deck, the only outdoor space I really have. The tree drops sap and needles non-stop, rendering the space unusable. This has been going on for two summers. Last summer I disclosed several time to the HOA that the branches, nee the entire tree, needs to be removed. My requests went no where, even during the week where they were actually removing trees. This summer, I have mentioned it over a dozen times. This management group acknowledged at the beginning of the summer that it was in the books to be taken down. In late September was when the tree was scheduled to be removed. $25,000/mo feels like it’s being allocated somewhere but not here.

Fantastic experience: Initially impressive, but management waned. Lack of training for association’s board members, Crofton Perdue liaison demonstrated lack of professional guidance and low grade insight to navigate challenging issues. Difficult to conclude management’s high monthly cost justified limited involvement and lackluster quality performance. Might want to consider a less aggressive firm regarding account avarice, given the limited skill needed to collect money and regularly pay contractors. Professional management lacking.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Never happy and won’t get back to you unless THEY have an issue.

Negative experience: Absolute horrible company, poor management and communication. If you don’t have to rent from them, don’t.

Negative experience: Crofton Purdue has a terrible. They continue to pull money via ACH out of your account after being told numerous times that they are not aloud to do so. After calling 4 times, and send 5 emails I am still without the money that they took.

Negative experience: Non-responsive, combative, rude. They appear to favor select contractors that do a terrible job and charge way more than the job is worth, when they show up. The owner of this company called a secret, emergency meeting of our Board of Directors to complain about me asking for accountability and defending my neighbors against their lack of attention to our townhome community.The result - they voted to remove me as president.Classy! Shop around - ratings matter! Update: Please notice all the 5-star reviews after I posted my true 1-star review. Coincidence? I don't think so. 2 years later I haven't seen a property manager here, still no oversight of the subcontractors, as well as overpaying for inferior and unnecessary services.

Positive experience: It's no secret that life as we know it, has changed drastically in 2020. All one has to do is turn on the TV, read through local news events and even walk out the door, but don't forget to wear your mask! Even through all the ups and downs, especially associated with the COVID-19 virus, our Property Manager, Mike Reinhard and his team at Crofton Perdue have been able to keep a pretty steady pace in providing us the support we need in order to efficiently run our HOA, at Logans Run. We understand that during these uncertain times; and throughout the course of any given day, staffing issues may come up, which may lead to delays in receiving timely reports, or not getting information as fast as usual. However, we continue to value our partnership with Crofton Perdue, because we know, that reports will come, questions will be answered and that guys like Mike will not let us down!

Positive experience: Crofton-Perdue Assoc. is a well run Property Mgt Co. The owner, Barb Perdue is willing to work with our Board to ensure the success of its members. She has been very flexible. while dealing with some challenging requests by the Board.

Fantastic experience: Rick Thomas, our Crofton property manager, has been very responsive to requests made to him. He contacts the vendors quickly and gets the answers and communicates them promptly to our Board. Crofton maintains our association's records and the website is easily accessible. Also, they are responsive to those homeowners who contact them with any repair issues.

Negative experience: Very Very Unprofessional. The 1st woman Hope I spoke with was polite and tried to act like she didn't understand why my fees were what they were. She later told me the truth and then I later spoke with a woman named Stacey who was BEYOND unprofessional. Once I made it clear that there was a conflict and made rational points to it she hung up on me. WATCH OUT!!! Very unprofessional, rude, and honestly just AVOID THIS COMPANY. The rating of 2.5 is very generous but they are low on the scale for a reason. Speaking from experience

Negative experience: Rude, combative, unhelpful office staff. This company is not transparent about when their board meetings are for residents to attend and give their input. They decided to undertake a $400k pool replacement project at our complex and informed no one! Out of the blue we were sent an additional HOA bill for $2100!! On top of what we already pay per month, how ridiculous! So unhappy with the way this company conducts themselves.

I was forced to give them 1 star.. No option for negative *** Its amazing how they have these "people" trained to write rave reviews about a completely worthless and useless company...

Negative experience: Very interesting. After reading reviews from a current employee pretending to be retired, and the owner's reply almost appearing that they were strangers...it's no wonder this company has failed our HOA so miserably. All smoke and mirror games. I am the president of our HOA and although this company did very well for approx. 6 - 8 months, it was a complete disaster shortly after with endless excuses (if you could catch them in the office, not "on vacation", not "in a meeting", "gone home sick", "we will get back to you", or "we are looking into that" etc, etc.) Imagine the surprise of Crofton's office staff when I dropped in unannounced (after being told the manager had gone home ill for the weekend) only to see him and 4 other people CUTTING UP AND LAUGHING in his office! Days before our budget deadline was due, our Board was given NOTHING by Crofton presented for our review! Days of blow-offs, non-returned calls, multiple "he's not in" replies, and finally we have a true spot check on integrity. Grade F- "I will not be put under deadlines" were the words used then. Their actions even now are still being flamboyantly displayed as our HOA attempts to get our property turned over. It shouldn't take law enforcement and legal action to get our financial property and records returned after their contract has expired, just because Crofton is angry. "We are still working on it" is what Crofton replies even after the contract has been terminated May 31, 2018. Well Crofton, this Board is still working on this situation as well, (and now, so is the State!) Very classy.

Negative experience: I have been trying for more than a month to get them to get a mason here. The stone is falling off the side of my house. Our property manager is absolutely useless.

Negative experience: I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR ACT TOGETHER. THIS WEEK A LETTER WAS TO GO OUT ABOUT SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION . WE NEVER GOT A LETTER . WE HAD TO MOVE CARS AND HAVE NO USE OF OUR FRONT DOOR . I DID ASK HOW LONG THIS WOULD TAKE AND THE MAN JUST LAUGHED AND SAID CALL CROFTON. MY NEIGHBORS DID CALL AND NEVER GOT A CALL BACK.WE WILL NOW HAVE TO USE DOOR TO BACK OF CONDO . NO LIGHTS ,NO WALKWAY AND NOT HAPPY. PS .AFTER MANY COMPLAINTS THEY SENT OUT A E-MAIL ABOUT A HOUR AGO . NOT HAPPY.
