Fantastic experience: Jeff Harry was our realtor for selling my mom’s house in Iron Mountain. He went above and beyond my expectations. He was very professional, had excellent at communicating with us about the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking to sell their home!

Fantastic experience: We worked with RE agent Betsy Sawicky at Stephens Real Estate from August-October 2026. Interestingly, we originally seriously considered doing a "For Sale by Owner": the market seemed to indicate that could work in our favor. When it came right down to it though, we went with an exceptional, experienced realtor who was very helpful in explaining the market today, educating us on "what's changed since COVID" (more than we thought!), and seamlessly arranging everything from the amazing professional photographs of our home to the 20 viewings we had in 9 days, and helping us navigate through the decision process of four offers. The exposure our home got through Betsy's efforts at Stephens was great. This all happened simultaneously with the crazy-busy finishing days of building our home, which was a huge project in itself. Betsy's work on our behalf led to us really enjoying the process instead of fretting over the many details and questions she professionally managed for us. Interestingly, although the realtor fee can show up as a big opportunity to FSBO, I feel like we actually did better than we would have done on our own. It was a good decision for us financially and from a time and enjoyment standpoint!

Fantastic experience: I was a buyer with Leeds and purchased a home sold by Jeff Harry. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Jeff. The sellers were moving out of town and did not have all of their belongings out on the closing date. Jeff was out there himself helping these people all day long. He was absolutely personable and kind. I was beyond impressed. He is a great man.

Negative experience: If you are a first time buyer do not go with this company and especially do not go with Jeff Harry. I was in the process of buying a home through this company and the process was slowed down due to my home inspection not being able to be complete because the home did not have the crawl space opened up for the inspector, I wouldn’t sign any paperwork until the home was completely inspected which is totally understandable and the right thing to do. My realtor Jeff Harry continued to call me and try and bulldog me to 100% buying this home before the inspection and got very unprofessional and rude with me saying that I seemed like I was not trusting him and then proceeded to insult my advisors by saying I needed to not listen to them and trust because they aren’t licensed and he is. Well little did he know my advisors are licensed and have been in RealEstate for 20 years. So I refused to sign the paperwork and said I would not sign anything until inspection complete he still continued to tell me how great the home was and I needed to sign at this point I felt he was trying to take advantage of me. He also proceeded to tell me that he was not making money on this deal which was not true he was making a pretty penny and that he was a teacher for so many years an loved helping first time buyers. (Taking advantage of) So when the inspector went back and checked everything the entire underneath of the house was wrotted out which went to show I made the right decision not signing anything and he was just trying to make a quick sale and take advantage of me being young. After the fact he proceeded to cancel our contracts to help me get in a home for the next 3 months because he was butt hurt I was right and he couldn’t make his quick sale. DO NOT LET THIS BE YOU IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME. I feel bad for the first time buyers they will be taking advantage of in the future. They shouldn’t allow people like this to be licensed this is extremely low that he was wanting to do this given my situation i explained to him goes to show you cannot trust anyone especially people in sales.

Fantastic experience: Stephens Realty did a great job selling our home. It sold at the upper end of where their market analysis put it and we had a signed offer within a few days. There always some hiccups as you move through the closing process but our realtor (Cindi) was always on top of it, explained it consulting with the Stephens team when needed, offered sound advice and the issue was resolved with a fair and favorable decision. Their office in Iron Mountain always had a professional atmosphere and very clean. We plan to use Stephens again to sell another piece of property we have. All thumbs up here.

Negative experience: We won our bid 5/2/22, and I was elated. Then I was provided with incorrect earnest money instructions by Ryan Gordon. When I was notified the earnest money was incorrect on 5/4/2022, Ryan not only failed to note a new deadline for the corrected check to be received, but he also suggested I mail the check "regular mail" from MN. I figured the faster the check was received, the faster we could close, and elected to Express mail the check anyway. As it turns out, even my USPS express mail check arrived too late on 5/9/22, and my bid was irreversibly cancelled. Going though email correspondence I was not included in until my bid cancellation notification, I was able to view time stamped emails from the closing company which clearly stated the earnest money instructions at 9:45AM on 5/2/22, PRIOR to my mailing the first INCORRECT check out - as well as the fact my corrected check had a deadline of 12PM Friday May 6th. I ended up filing an ethics complaint with the UPAR and I hope they investigate thoroughly. - Do business with Ryan at your own risk, - -and if you do decide to take the risk, make sure to sign him into a contract to hold him accountable for his actions. (A lesson I unfortunately learned the hard way directly from the UPAR when filing my complaint) Update: a hearing was held October 20th and the UPAR did feel that several aspects of our transaction were mishandled; Ryan will be subject to a $500 administrative fee and a $500 fine for violating article 2 of the Realtors Code of Ethics and he will need to take a mandatory 4 hours of training. Failure to comply with the disipline will result in immediate revocation of Ryan's UPAR membership. While it is encouraging that the panel agreed my case was mishandled and are taking steps to educate Ryan; unfortunately it does nothing to get the house we lost out on back. Based on my family's experience I can not recommend doing business with Ryan Gordon.

Positive experience: The gentleman I spoke to was very nice and tried to help me best he could on finding out information on rentals

Negative experience: If you are looking for a company with INTEGRITY stay away from this one and especially Ryan Gordon. He will make promises to make everything right after errors by his agents and then turn around and make FUN of the situation and even mock it. He lacks PROFESSIONALISM and MATH skills.

Negative experience: I relocated to the area and I feel the Realtor I worked with did not have my best interest in mind. I would never work with this company again.
