Negative experience: Absolutely the worst real estate agency I have ever dealt with. My wife and I were interested in a property and left 4 separate messages asking Mike to give us a call. I was finally able to get in touch with him when he ACTUALLY picked up the phone and answered it. We FINALLY got him to actually schedule an appointment (which he did) this past Monday and were finally able to do a walk through and check it out. That same night (Monday) we sent him an email relating a few questions we had as well as providing an offer. It is now Wednesday evening and after 6 or 7 calls, texts and/or emails we have not had any contact with him regarding our offer. Does not seem to be a very ambitious agent. Although it was his listing and we tried using his agency, without any contact from him whatsoever, we had to use an agent from another agency to get any assistance. I own a business myself and if I was to ignore any calls from my clients, I'd be out of business.

Negative experience: I contacted Taylor May from old fences realty, she was very difficult to get information from never returns phone calls had to go through the attorney to get any information about the property. 315 Liverpool road has no water and the well is contaminated with ecoli it’s connected to the house next door. Also, it’s landlocked with an easement that has a long complicated history. Also any information i obtained was through the attorneys office which was great. She has literally no knowledge of the property she is charged to sell. Upon trying to call and get a situation resolved, she was talking to her dog and avoiding questions about false information given over the phone.

Negative experience: Had property sold before it was even listed on seaman fork rd. I had hunted it for over 30 years and went to purchase it the Day he put the forsale sign up and it was already under contract and not even on old fences web site yet.

Someone was simply a little quicker to get a Sales Contract than you and was well prepared. Your brother Bobby knew it was for sale, an old high school classmate of mine. You claim that you hunt the property but the Seller tells me he has not granted permission to anyone to hunt it. The term is poaching not hunting. I did not go to your workplace to cry and publicly give your employer a 1 star review for doing thier job! Trying to take food off of you and your coworkers.table. Think about that when you are eating those sour grapes. Sometimes this Google review system gets it wrong on letting anyone post anything that they want.

Negative experience: We were not impressed. Met with him for a consult. He said we would not be able to "get even 100k" out of the newly remodeled home and it would probably take months to sell. We listed it for 130k, and it was pending two days after listing it and closed yesterday for 130! Took about a month from a-z. Honestly, he spoke more about how much money he has and how he travels more than he did the house. Is what it is I guess.Glad we went with the realtor we did.

Negative experience: This guy is not an actual licensed REALTOR with the National Association of Realtors. He demanded I put down 4K in earnest money then after the inspection discovered foundation issues, refused to return it. Now I have to go to court. He's also rude and unprofessional.
FRAUD! Fred It not even this guys name. His real name is Henry. The seller determines if he would get his money back or not. I just Hold the Money. The Seller eventually gave him his deposit back and he did not end up going to court. I wish I could rate this FRAUD! If it were not for me he would have never got his money back. Not all Brokers are Realtors. Realtor is a trade association name and in WV. there are just as many none Realtors as there are Realtors due to our rural nature. The Association has made many changes that tried to force us to join mega Realtor boards. I sat on their Board of Directors for 15 years. Sometimes bigger is not better.

Negative experience: The seller agreed to our offer but his agent, Mike, never sent the paper work because Mike was “out of town”. He must not have gone far seeing as how he was able to show the house, that was already In agreement on an offer between the seller and buyer, to someone else. These buyers placed an offer and miraculously Mike was able to send that paper work to the seller. We are reliable buyers and very disappointed in the behavior and blatant unprofessionalism exhibited by Mike and Old Fences Realty.
The law is very clear here. The Seller makes the decisions on which Buyer they choose, not the agent. I have a fudiciary duty under the law to present all offers at all times. The Seller received a higher offer by a better financialy qualified Buyer. This happened on the 4th of July weekend. The Seller was out of town and could not be reached until Monday. All real estate transactions must be in writing according to WV state law and the Seller had not signed a contract with you. I am sorry that the agent that represented you did not explain these facts to you. I did my job 100% correctly.
Fantastic experience: Mike and his staff are professionals and so friendly and helpful. We have had two closings through Mike's agency and both were on time, paperwork in order, closed without a single issue. We highly recommend contacting Old Fences if you are buying or selling!

Not only that but when we came to look at a pretty out of the way property and got bogged down in the mud, Mike took time out of his day to come pull us out.
