Negative experience: A very disappointing experience with this realty company. After paying required fees, I expected timely communication and professional service. Unfortunately, once they took the application fee, I received little to no follow up. Multiple attempts to contact the company went unanswered, and my calls and messages were not returned. This company failed to meet basic expectations when dealing with clients who are making important housing decisions. I felt ignored and frustrated. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this company. I hope they improve their customer service, communication, and accountability so future clients are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and rude. Not helpful or informative at all unless they are lying making up things about the home and begging for money.

Negative experience: Funny acting/rude uncommunicative staff. Unprofessional and unhelpful with all the run arounds and wasted time. They dont tell you everything up front; They don't even try to work things out properly.

Negative experience: In process of looking for somewhere else to stay. They have no regards for anyone working from home. A apartment fire happened next door about a month ago and the maintenance men they hired have been rude and nasty to me in regards to me asking them to keep the level of noise down. I can understand they have a job to do but when i asked for a discount or credit towards my rent I was told that because I was in a residential apartment that they were not able to do anything about it. Would like to also add that they do not respond to maintenance requests on time.

Negative experience: Just pray you never need maintenance because property management will not tell you ahead of time when a technician will arrive. They expect you to wait at home indefinitely until someone randomly decides to pop up. No advance call, no estimated time or day of arrival. Apparently, maintenance has a strict “do not contact resident” policy because they refuse to call and schedule an appointment. God forbid you are not home when a technician finally does arrive because you will go to the back of the line and end up waiting another week or two for service.

Negative experience: I paid a thirty dollar application fee to rent one of there properties it took them over a week to tell me they rejected my application due to my income not being enough when I have a section 8 voucher then tells me my income must be 3 times the rent amount I believe I was treated unfairly there receptionist are unprofessional /Rude just want who they think should be in there properties & take advantage of people in the community that struggle to pay that appl. fee I've been living here in Rocky Mount now for seven years never experienced such lack of empathy for a person of low income I would never recommend to anyone looking to rent

Negative experience: I had a landlord who didn't give proper notice he was assigning his property to them. I am under the HOPE/NEEDS program and this company underhand the main court to have a hearing in Civil Court over an eviction and unpaid rent. The CDC memorandum is still in effect. Prior to Cooper taking over the property, they took no concern in my matter. It went from the landlord was going to forgive the back balance to he wanted it when he took over $6,000 from a government program because of CoVID. I went to court 3 times over this property. The property he renovated, the structure was not done correctly and the house was falling apart. I eventually got tired of dealing with it. I suffer from Anxiety and depression. I have panic attacks as well due to PTSD. It is sad when no one cares about the stress we endure. Yet these lack luster property owners are allowed to have protection to charge 25% above market rate in a crime filled neighborhood.

Negative experience: Wouldn't dare let my dog rent one of these run down homes.....all they want is application fees....then come up with any excuse to disqualify you....they rent they best homes out to family members and friends....I currently have a $100,000 dollar law suit against them.....

Negative experience: Was interested in purchasing a home with them and wanted to discuss a few things with the owners before hand because the condition of the house would make it favorable to buy outright instead of renting to own, but the staff is rude and extra hungry for an application fee. They didn’t care to take my information to have the owner reach out to me either. Please take your chances and waste you time with someone else.

Negative experience: Put in a rental application and paid my processing fees only to be put off for weeks about the status and then finally when the owner comes back to work to unlock a door I am told that the owner of the home decided to sell instead. Honestly it was a very messy process and they never even offered another listing or to give me my processing fee back since I was the person who changed what they wanted.

Negative experience: quick to throw you in some run down apartment but won't approve you for a decent home. all they want is the $30 for the application

Negative experience: Got approved places kept getting changed never ready got told my place was ready which it wasnt ms. Karen was amazing trying to help me and my family cause it was the company's fault i had to re apply for a place the landlord said i could move in i think it was the owner of the realty company told me no she didn't care it was their fault my places was never ready even though the landlord said i can get it that day i have lost everything behind waiting on my new place with them i wouldn't recommend this realty

And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. I live to be remembered from treating others how I want to be treated which is ALWAYS sacrificial and humbling. AND grateful the rewards are greater later. Following my spirit with hopes that communication is the key to success and this agency has a staff member named Dequavis Mann who has been very helpful and adamant in this process to the right the wrong. I had initially walked away and threw in the towel but he brought the towel back and possess understanding and patience wrapped inside. So being optimistic he is living up to the great referral I recieved prior to moving here in Rocky Mt NC. Relocating is very stressful and hard when everything is truly foreign...we have no direction. I just want to move into a place affordable and safe. I have high expectations for Coopers Associates service because they were spoken so highly of by my personal network. A business thrives from its network, not its net worth! My business is still pending today STAY TUNED? 3 STARS FOR PATIENCE, EFFORT AND WILLINGNESS! ALWAYS TRUSTING GOD AND GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPORT BETTER BUSINESS FOR ALL. Negative experience: I tried so hard to get through them applied for a home and called every single day for 2 weeks just to be denied, i mean who doesn’t be late on rent, long as it gets paid..i really wanted that house,more space for my boys, oh well better luck next time
