Experiencia fantástica: We started our journey as 1st time home buyers with realtors Keith and Kris Walker after a referral from my brother-in-law. It started off with a introductory call between the Walker Team and us, where they listened carefully to our needs and expectations. They then explained to us the current market conditions and what we could expect going in. The process was very streamlined. We looked up listings on popular sites (MLS, Zillow, Redfin) and passed on to them. If no open houses were on schedule, their team would setup an appointment for private viewing and Adam B. would join us for the same. (even on weekdays!!!). Adam also accompanied us on open houses. Within a few viewings, the team was able to understand our requirements and Adam recommended the house we ended up buying. The entire team was very responsive and patient with all our questions. For every offer we decided to put in, Keith and Kris as buyer agents would spend an hour with us going over each and every detail in the disclosure packet, help us understand the VALUE of the house by providing DOLLAR AMOUNTs required to fix / repair items listed in the disclosure. From our interaction with them, they are always very professional, competitive, understanding and responsive. Here are a few examples: 1. They offer their honest opinions regardless of whether or not they will do business with us this time. There was a time that we went up to Keith and Kris to sell our rental house to get rid of the landlord frustrations. Although helping us to sell the houses would benefit their business, they still analyzed with us the pros and cons to sell or own, did all the appraisal work but left the choice to us . Eventually we decided not to sell the house however we kept long-lasting relationship with the Walker team. 2. They provided professional guidance during the house shopping process. There was this time when both COVID restriction and holiday seasons made very low housing inventories, despite the super hot housing market, they were very patient in showing the houses, went out their ways to meet up our needs, tell us more than the property itself but also what to avoid as new home buyers. We were very impressed that Kris was able to handle complicated situation and had solid insights at such a young age. 3. We were under stress to close our deals however multiple unexpected events occurred to complicate the situation. The Walker team negotiated with the owner to buy us more time, dealt with the owners' stress to close out, and even asked for more from the owner for us, just because they think it's the fair thing to do. This is rare in this strong-seller market nowadays. 4. They went extra miles to help us beyond house-shopping - they helped us so many times by using their own connections. The contacts that they shared with us, e.g.: the pest-control team, the property manager, even the loan agents, are all very good-quality. Working with Keith and Kris is like working with a whole package of professionals, you won't be anxious or stressful when you know they got your back. We are so happy that we made the right decision. Within a month after contacting Keith, we found our dream house and our offer was accepted. We had great communication with the team from the beginning, message or phone call. Kris did a great job patiently showing us houses and explaining (not selling) what's good, what's not good in the house. He provided insights on what alterations can be done and provided rough estimates. This was very useful for us as we almost had zero knowledge in this. With so many bidders for a house nowadays, it is so hard to get a house in Bay Area unless one had lots of cash which I did not have. Keith came up with a good price based on his internal knowledge and had a good offer presented to the sellers. We hit a speed bump in our process when loan appraisal came up with a low value. We were two weeks already in the offer period, but Keith had magic contacts who were able to quickly process the loan and finish the escrow before the closing date. Given our prior experience with agents in the area, we went into the meeting with Keith with limited expectations. However, we realized very quickly that Keith would be a pleasure to work with. He was straightforward, responsive, genuine, and knowledgable about the market. Over the next six (!) years, poor Keith put up with us cheerfully as we looked all over the South Bay Area for a home. He was always extremely responsive to every request, whether it was to get a tour of a home or get more information on disclosures. When COVID restrictions were in place, he happily worked out the logistics for home tours and was quick with the required paperwork. Purchasing a home in the Bay Area can be nuts, with multiple offers and very fast turnaround times required for everything. With Keith's patience and advice, we finally found our dream home this year. We're now working to renovate and put our Sunnyvale home on the market. She walked us through the whole process of buying a property when the first time we met so we were able to have a clear idea of the timeline and started financial preparation at an early stage. In the process of targeting our preferred areas, she provided us housing market updates and her experience of the market nature of the areas we were interested in. Because of all these preparation and study beforehand, when we felt we were ready to actively looking for houses, it took us only 1 week to get mortgage pre-approval and 3 weeks to make an offer to an ideal house. Even though Shannon wasn’t as knowledgeable about Oakland, I was impressed with how diligent she was with accessing various homes in different neighborhoods and presented detailed reports at the end of weekend visits. That information was key for understanding the Oakland housing market on a larger scale. In addition, she was patient while prioritizing our likes/dislikes for the type of home we wanted. Experiencia fantástica: I'm going to cheat a bit and paste my review from Yelp. Keith Walker's dad sold us our townhouse and eventually Keith and his family lived on our street. We watched Keith build his reputation and expand they ways he was selling houses, including a terrific marketing presence. When we decided to move out of state, Keith Walker was the only realtor for us. He's smart, a good salesperson without being overbearing, truly on top of technology and very successful. In January, Keith and Kris (Keith's son) came to our home to explain the process and contract and look around the house, nothing things we could update to achieve a fast sell at a good price. He recommends vendors: contractors, someone to clean out remaining items, clean the house, etc. Their team was so fast that we moved out on a Friday and the next week they came in to take photos and video for online open houses. We left at a wild time for people between COVID, a changing market and a plummeting interest rate. Keith and Kris kept in touch with us and promoted our house for sale. They work with a Title company and that was helpful, too. Keith apparently reads a lot of business books and maybe uses coaching techniques to keep his team motivated through the inevitable down cycles of Silicon Vally real estate. Then beginning of this year coronavirus pandemic began. They setup multiple open house visits for us always being careful about the rules during this time.
