Experiencia fantástica: I had the pleasure of being a renter of MPM and a landlord that leaned on MPM for renter/property management services. Becky and Yassie made things easy, were incredibly accessible, and were enjoyable to work with. Yassie was able to find us the perfect rental that met our needs as a growing family- we had developed a relationship, and she kept us top of mind for when the right home came to market, allowing us to apply and sign day-of in an incredibly competitive market. At the same time, Becky and Yassie found us a reliable tenant for our beloved home that we had recently renovated. The quality of the tenant (credit/background, occupation, family circumstance) was important to us, and they stepped up to the plate in finding a perfect fit. Looking forward to working with them again.

Experiencia negativa: Read this before you allow this company to represent your Park City home. Becky and her team did not do background check on tenants. She directed us to change out our plumbing after tenant flushed large number of wipes down the toilets and made the sewer back up. She falsely claimed that her attorney told her we should change out our sewer pipes. She didn't make time to consult plumbers to find out what caused the issue. We asked her to assist with tenant move out. She did not notify us of all the items this tenant broke. She threw the house key in the dirt by the front door. Unprofessional and checked out. After all the problems this tenant gave to us they offered to buy our house for pennies on the dollar using Becky as realtor. Mountain Property Management is a scam.

Experiencia negativa: I advise caution when dealing with this company, as their service quality is poor, and they have a questionable practice of withholding security deposits. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting any property from them if you wish to avoid complications at the end of your lease or the risk of losing your deposit unfairly. DONT RENT WITH THEM

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent with them. They over priced everything for getting the house we left rent ready for another tenant. When we moved in the house wasn’t even cleaned! I had to ask for them to get cleaners to come and clean it. The yard had weeds above 5 feet. Someone had to come and pull the weeds out and we ended up cleaning it up and putting it to the trash. We had a $4800 deposit and we did not see any money back from it. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

They even worked w/us to adjust the lease twice for shorter time frames towards the end because we were looking to purchase a Home,that made things workable,so we could search,without that extra help from them,it would have been very difficult. They were fair with our deposits & we did our best to leave the Condo spotless & did the checklist as listed. Always friendly & helpful if we needed assistance etc...

Experiencia negativa: We will not work with Mountain Property Management in the future as their business practices are lacking discretion and communication. The company practices favoritism and is not to be trusted when they claim that rentals are considered on a first-come-first serve basis. We have direct experience that this is not true, as we were the first well-qualified applicants on a rental which Becky Wilde had already completed a back-room deal with a prior tenant before it was listed. Sadly, Becky Wilde did not communicate to her associates that she had already completed this "off the record" deal for the rental, and when it went live, we applied. This sadly led to her associate misleading us, as we were the first applicant and first showing. The associate told us it was basically ours once the application was approved as it is first-come-first-serve. Now, this was not at all the associates fault, she was a very nice young lady, that is unfortunately employed by a company that does not follow ethical guidelines. That this particular rental was even listed publicly, when a prior tenant was already promised the rental, makes no sense. The only reason to publicly list a rental is to receive applications. If the rental was already promised and done, then the only reason I can think that Mountain Property Management did this was to collect application fees knowing that the rental was basically off-market. Very suspect if you ask me!

Not an easy task to find a four month rental as it was neither the common long term or short term lease length. Becky found the right place for us and navigated every nuance throughout the lease to make sure we had an amazingly pleasurable experience. Our time with MPM gave us a great opportunity to discover a wonderful part of town we might never have learned about and a cute neighborhood with loads of investment opportunity. Experiencia negativa: Would not recommend renting from this company! As tenants of Mountain Property Management for 5 years, we had great communication primarily with Mike and Jessica. We always paid our rent on time and never caused any issues. Our needs were always attended to in a timely manner up until our time to move out. We were in contact with MPM to ensure we spent the proper time and money to get our full security deposit back. The information given to us about our move out checklist was very vague and we were under the impression we had nothing to worry about. We as tenants also did our due diligence to review the lease to ensure we were upholding our part of the contract, including professional cleaning receipts sent to Mountain Property Management. We received a letter with our security deposit information that was postmarked over 30 days after our move out date, a violation of Utah tenant law. We received only a tiny fraction of our security deposit with no clear explanation except for a bid (not a receipt) for brand new toilets. After a little bit of research it was also evident the bid for toilets were more expensive than the toilets currently in our unit. The reason stated for the replacement of all three toilets was because of hard water stains. This falls under the “normal wear and tear” section of our lease and is not appropriate considering there was evidence of hard water stains upon moving in and the fact that the owner/property management decided not to have a water softener in the unit. After receiving our letter in the mail we reached out to Becky (the owner of MPM) to get a better understanding of the situation. She was immediately impolite, quick to cut us off, and unwilling to hear our questions and concerns. It was quite appalling that after five years as tenants this was how we were treated. Our confusion came from the lack of written explanation for not receiving our full deposit and that they would be unwilling to return such a small percentage of the rent we have paid over the last 5 years. From a tenants perspective, this was not the move out experience we were expecting considering the amount of time and money we spent on the move out process. We spent over $500 in required cleaning costs, hoping to get our $1500 security deposit back, then only received $300 because they decided it was required to replace 3 toilets for $1169. We also spoke with our real estate agent and a local property manager who were both stunned by this incident and agreed that MPM was in the wrong. Additionally, we tried for weeks to come up with a solution and Becky couldn’t be bothered to get back to us in a timely manner and was unwilling to offer any sort of compromise. FOR FUTURE MPM TENANTS, be extremely cautious of spending your time and money on the checkout cleaning expenses because it will not be worth it when you don’t receive your full, or even a substantial amount of your security deposit back.

Things were a little slow a few years back, but they’ve really improved in the last year or two. They always answer any question I have, and they are very friendly and personable. My maintenance requests are always answered in 48 hours or less; my emails and phone calls are also answered in a timely manner. I particularly love the new payment system they have. The convenience of paying my rent online is so much easier now. The tenant portal is detailed and informative. I don’t know why there are any negative reviews - especially to go as far as calling them inept. I appreciate everything they do and how easy they are to work with. Even when I have been upset and had an issue, they are always willing to work things out with me. I recommend this company to everyone, and I will continue to rent from MPM for a long time to come!

Experiencia negativa: I lived in a 2 bdrm condo in Kamas rented thru MPM for 4 years. I moved out on April 30th and left messages via voicemail and texts regarding my security deposit and I can't get them to respond. It is 5/13. Tenants in my building here in Las Vegas claim that someone is stealing mail and I just want to speak to MPM to find out what date they mailed my sec dep and I can't even get a text back informing me with that information. Not happy.

Experiencia negativa: Worst management company ever. As a renter, I could not get them to return my calls. Also, in the year that I lived in one of their properties, they did not come to check on the house even once. I now own a home in Park City and would never consider them to manage my home.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had a wonderful experience with Mountain Property Management so far. We are very happy with our furnished condo. They gave me grace the first month paying rent late because I wanted to see how my online bank bill pay worked, but don't be late paying rent usually because it's a $250 fee (after the 5 day grace period)! It would be really nice if they could upgrade to an online rent payment system, but you have to mail in your rent check or pay it in person, and good luck finding parking on Main Street! They have been great staying in communication with us and changed out our water filter when needed at no cost. If you are moving to Park City you should know that it's pretty much standard to charge first and last month's rent upfront PLUS a full month deposit, so it's very expensive starting out. The real test of customer service will be when it's time to get our deposit back... we'll see what happens but I trust they will be fair. We will continue to rent with Mountain Property because we feel they are professional with exceptional customer service.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a tenant of Mountain Property Management since May 2012. I would like to see Mountain Property Management focus on improving their response time to maintenance requests/issues. Our experience has been that they do not respond timely to maintenance requests. This winter our main bedroom shower was out of order for months. It was finally fixed after we sent them repeated emails, reminders and us having to delay rent. Most recently we emailed Mountain Property Management making them aware of a leak on the water heater. We received no response, the next day the water heater blew filling our basement with water. We understand that much coordinating is involved in fulfilling requests and maintenance issues however we expect effective and efficient communication in the meantime. Experiencia positiva: As a tenant for 3 years, my overall experience has been positive. Their approach is very hands off, which turned out to be ideal for a long-term lease. If something breaks or we have an issue, it is on us to fix it. This models worked well for us over the years and my only interaction with the company was to re-up my lease. Becky and Jessica have been agreeable through these processes (3 times) and nothing came as a surprise while renting through Mountain Property Management.
