Honestly, if she were to have stayed in St Joe, she would have renewed her lease again! We also loved the program through Bluestem that helps build credit/renter’s history. She’s moving on to another apartment and it’ll help her greatly! They were so great to work with and we highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been renting an apartment that is managed by Bluestem for just under two years. I think they do a great job. I have submitted several maintenance requests, and I always get a prompt response. They either send someone over by the next business or if the issue is more pressing, they send someone right away (even on weekends). The building I’ve lived in is cleaned regularly as well. Paying rent and communication is very convenient – you can just do everything through their online tenant portal. I’ve lived in several rentals over the past 15 years, and I’d say Bluestem is one of the best companies I’ve worked with.

Experiencia negativa: ZERO STARS IF I COULD. Rude and disrespectful. Terrible “renovations.” Gossips about tenants. Don’t spray for bugs or weeds. Ignores serious issues, like leaks and MOLD GROWTH. Rude, rude, rude employees who fake nice. Do NOT address maintenance issues (leaks from water damage). Just a disgusting business to deal with. I would post videos of the NOISE, DAMAGE, and LEAKS on my review, but can’t. I’ll DM anyone who wants to see the retorts for my maintenance requests or text conversations.

Experiencia negativa: we rented from this company for 2 years at 2 different houses. the first house was ridiculously dirty upon moving into and had no parking. we were told that within a couple months they were adding a driveway, so we signed a year lease. we never received a driveway so to make up for it they promised to replace the front porch, this didn’t happen for months after they said, and wasn’t finished until the month we moved out. we decided to give them another chance and move to another house they had. the house we moved into was not professionally cleaned upon moving into either! we were told by neighbors the previous renters moved out due to mold growing in the home on herman ave. we stayed in the home that did not have heat or ac in half the home which we were not made aware of when moving in. the walls were growing mold and we had to move out early as it wasn’t a home safe for our newborn. the company took the deposit for things that were out of our control. i would live in my car before i ever considered renting from this complaint again!! nothing but issues the whole time and no accountability was ever taken.

Experiencia negativa: If you’re going to be renting from this business then expect a lot of headaches and unanswered maintenance requests. I spoke with one of their newest hires when he came to inspect my home and he spilled the beans on their new management which is butchering their loyal employees and disregarding their customers complaint in order to save profit. Even their maintenance workers are quitting due to management negligence so I’m meant to make the necessary repairs myself.

Experiencia negativa: If you move into one of the property’s they manage MAKE SURE IT IS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED BEFORE YOU MOVE IN AND TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS. If you don’t they will try to use your deposit to fix issues that were there before you moved in. Last June when we toured the property we noticed some of the things in the photos I included and a foul lingering smell of pet waste in the property. We were running short on time to find a property, and it met our space needs, so we took it after we were assured the property would be cleaned before we moved in. The day we picked up our keys we found that the only thing that had been cleaned was the fridge, the smell remained along with the marks and substances on the wall. We had to move in in a couple days and had no time to argue about the condition we were receiving the house in. We begrudgingly took it and went over that night to try to clean it the best we could ourselves. During the process we found cabinets full of cookware left by the previous tenants and when we told them about this we were told we could just “throw it away”. We also found a folded up note in a window sill discussing distributing meth, which I included a photo of. Again when I brought this to their attention they just told me they “didn’t know anything about it”. Unfortunately we aren’t professionals and while we could remove the marks and stains, we never could fully get rid of the smell or have non yellow water come up when we finished mopping. We stayed for a year and dealt with multiple issues including the ceiling in our kitchen caving in from a roof leak, which took over a month to fix because the maintenance man they sent would work for an hour and then disappear for the rest of the day. Or a bat infestation that I informed them about multiple times, and that they dragged their feet on fixing until I was bit and had to receive rabies shots. At which point they insisted that it hadn’t been fixed yet because “they were just waiting for the appointment they set up with the pest control company to happen” but on the day pest control was supposed to show up, their maintenance men did instead and just sealed up entry points in the house. When we ended our lease in June and moved out we did a walk through of the property and the only things pointed out to me was a chipped paint spot, which was like that when we moved in and I had to show him a photo of, and the lawn that had grown tall, which it admittedly was. After the state I received it in, I still made sure to sweep and mop before I left, so I was pretty surprised to see a $528 cleaning fee that was taken out of my deposit. I was really glad I had photos because they also tried to charge me for another faded paint spot that was like that when I moved in. It was pretty obvious that despite their insistence that the property wasn’t “like that when they gave it to me”, they had no idea what the property was like when they handed it over to me. They insisted it was professionally cleaned before I moved in, but ignored my requests to see invoices for that cleaning and only provided invoices for the cleaning after I left. Even after insisting it was cleaned they still eventually admitted that the property stunk before I moved in. Only after repeatedly reaching out to them did they return half of what they charged me for the cleaning fee. I would never recommend renting from them. Only do it if you really have to, and if you do please document everything! Update: As you can see from their response they prefer to shift blame and not address any of the concerns past that. We have one cat that we have had for 4 years, no other property I’ve lived in has that ever been an issue nor was it an issue at this property. I can even provide move out statements from other companies proving this. I’ve provided photos of what type of property we received, I will let you decide what type of company this is.
