We made a list of three possible realtors (Cara included) and did our research. We invited her down to our house to tour it, possibly recommend upgrades in order to get it ready to sell, and to discuss the process of selling. What impressed us most about Cara was how prepared and knowledgable she was in addition to her confidence and passion she showed towards her work. My mother passed away suddenly, and I had to sell her house from 900 miles away in the middle of a pandemic. Cara walked me through the process, helped me with every single step, including putting me in contact with and/or coordinating multiple aspects of clearing the house out, last minute minor fixes, as well as making sure the process of signing all documents was as smooth as possible from a remote location. When she walked through the house, she used her knowledge of the market and gave an estimated price range that was absolutely on the nose for what I ended up getting from a buyer. Cara is ultra professional, very knowledgeable, extremely professional, and extraordinarily responsive. I promise you, you can’t go wrong with Cara and I would recommend her to anyone. I started working with Cara off a recommendation in January. After telling her everything I wanted, I would ask about homes. She remembered every little detail I said and had no issue telling me why a house wasn’t the right fit for me. Most other realtors would want to make a sale and would say let’s go check it out. Cara always reigned me in when I got impatient or desperate (a regular occurrence -it’s a huge seller’s market and it’s not the most fun for buyers who are truly ready to move!). We entered contract on a flip home in mid February. The investors turned out to be the sellers from hell. Cara fought tooth and nail for me on that home from February through June due to COVID delays, seller issues, etc. At the last minute, the sellers backed out following 4+ months of waiting. I was pretty despondent and completely over the house searching process. At this point, I was overly anxious/fearful/distrustful of sellers. We continued our search and Cara was always responsive and honest to my incessant questions! She was also spot on in her advice or thought process of why something was happening. She ended up sending me a home that had zero pictures up, but the write-up sounded promising. The moment I walked in, I knew I wanted the house. I was one of 10-11 people who put an offer on the home. Thanks to Cara’s guidance on why the first offer is the most important, I somehow managed to get it despite multiple higher offers. Cara’s communication with the seller’s agent made the difference and showed I was ready and serious about it, plus they understood the tough road we had been down already. I’m typing this up from my new house and I couldn’t be happier. I still can’t believe I managed to get my dream home in this crazy seller’s market without doing something I wasn’t comfortable with. This would’ve never been possible without Cara and I’m actually kind of sad that being at this point means we no longer get to work together!
