Super nice people who are incredibly understanding for two college kids living on their own! Incredibly patient staff well who taught us how to reset a breaker and that there are batteries in the thermostats haha. I’ve heard of maintenance tickets at big apartment complexes taking weeks to get filled, but the most we’ve had to wait is maybe 3 business days? Definitely recommend them especially if you have pets as well!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT OR BUY THROUGH THIS COMPANY. I was about to sign a lease with this company when they told me to "not expect any" of my $1,500 security deposit back. When I asked where the money would go, they said to cleaning expenses, painting, general maintenance, and lawn care upon my move out. None of these, besides cleaning, were mentioned in the lease agreement. Not only that, but the practice of deducting such charges from a security deposit is illegal under Miss. Code Ann. § 89-8-21. When I said I was not comfortable with this unlawful arrangement, the agent simply said "Such deduction are actually allowed." This response shows me Maroon and White reality is nothing more than a group of crooks operating outside of the law in order to poach money from naive college students.

The owner and I had worked together ever since I bought my former property in 2008,turned it into a rental when I was hired at my first corporate job, causing me to move two hours South of Starkville, and recently sold that property earlier this year. The management company aspect and selling is a plus. The experience taught me how to manage properties and work with the staff, which I will never forget. The team gave the effort to work and find buyers for the property was terrific. I was pleased to have the company manage my property for 12 years and then turn around and sell the property. I recommend them for your needs at Starkville,MS continues to grow in population.  Thanks, Maroon and White Realty, who can’t like your colors “Hail State.”

Experiencia negativa: Maroon and white is a great place if you do not mind cheap Maintenance. There is mold that had come down from a leak up stairs and they proceeded to tell me that The only thing they can do was to paint over it. Unfortunately for them trying to cut money to half fix things doesn’t fly with me. My wife and I have constantly told them we aren’t happy with how they fix things and they still try to lure us into believing it’s not that big an issue. Will no longer be using Maroon and White after our lease is up. Also will warn others about poor quality Maintenance and the lack of care for the tenants issues.

Experiencia fantástica: I inquired about a place, but it was already leased, however, I was shown another property with the same exact layout as well as them honoring the same rent price as the original place. I dealt with Michelle through the whole process. She even went through hoops helping me get the previous person's internet cut off so I could turn it on in my name without having to wait for their billing cycle to end.

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE! I've had several friends over the years who rented houses/apartments these guys; and all but 1 had negative experiences. The issues they had we're primarily in regards to maintenance; or the lack there of. Many work orders are either late, or ignored completely. The fixes that are performed are generally temporary and cheap. If you bring up any concerns with ignored maintenance work orders, you can expect a disrespectful response where management describes themselves as "professional". They'll problably refute this in the comments; but it's problably NOT a coincidence that the honest reviews here that are expressing the same concerns. They're at least punctual about collecting your rent on time, but I wouldn't expect more.

The house was cleaned before I moved in and Michelle Hayden even made sure she came and turned the air on prior to my arrival. 10/10 would recommend them!

Experiencia negativa: During our time with Maroon and White Realty, we turned in a list of maintenance issues, which included water draining from the washing machine flooding the house, windows didn’t lock, the ladder leading to the attic was not fully attached nor fully assembled, etc. They ignored most of our issues and some of the issues that they did fix, they only did a temporary fix, in which some of them caused safety issues. In addition to these issues, our house almost burned down due to a bad capacitor and bare wires within the AC unit and burning dust in the ducting. It was recommended that the whole unit be replaced, but no action was taken regarding that. After all this, they took most of our security deposit to perform routine house maintenance. They even admitted that it wasn’t our fault for the maintenance, but they wouldn’t give us our money back. Needless to say, we do not recommend leasing from Maroon & White Realty.

Experiencia negativa: Maroon and White have a no prorating policy, meaning if you move in on the 8th you pay the full month, if you move out on the 25th you pay for the whole month. This is a scam. Their lease starts on the 8th and runs through the 25th, meaning you are paying for 2 weeks extra. Marron and White stated to me that this was in the contract. So beware future tenants.

Experiencia negativa: Be cautious with this rental company! They never take care of their tenants' right. Extremely nasty interior condition after you move into their new house. Maintenance team keep absent for months after your maintenance requests. Their Owner Sterling Dahl is so hypocritical. He is usually acting as a good guy before you sign your leasing contract, and completely switch to a different person after you sign the contract! Stay away from it!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Maroon and White reality is the worst company I have ever dealt with. To start off the apartment not only wasn't cleaned, but it wasn't even cleared of both hazardous materials (used motor oil was contained in a large bucket with no lid) in the garage as well as a sex doll in one of the bedrooms. I counted seven wasps nests on my balcony alone. Sterling Dahl has never answered his phone or returned any of my calls and voicemails, however, Michelle at the front desk is quite friendly and helpful.Additionally, the house my two roommates and I leased was sold to another family BEFORE WE MOVED IN. We were forced out two weeks after moving in forcing us to pay many transfer fees in utilities and causing a lot of headache in general. We have received no compensation for this process through Maroon and White. I have zero respect for the management of maroon and White reality and will happily tell everyone I know to NEVER even consider leasing through them.

Experiencia negativa: First off I'm not a negative person at all I invested in some properties not long ago and in need of some information on a potential tenant that has rented from here and had the potential tenant to sign & approved the reference form took it to they office they tell me they will email me the information but they tell me on the phone they pull the application and can't give information out with out potential tenant approval I understand that but I never got the email.. maybe because I'm young and BLACK. Smh I'm just trying to protect my property that's all........
