After dealing with past realtors, and having not so great experiences I was at the point of just giving up on my home search. In a last ditch effort I tried again. Thank god I did! Experiencia fantástica: I can not begin to say how much a blessing Shemika was through the process of me buying my home. Our journey began about 2 yrs ago. I was at a property peeking to see if I'd be interested before I contacted my realtor and Shemika pulled in to show the property to her already clients. We got to chatting before her clients arrived and I was taken by her kindness and professionalism and asked for her card before I left. The process over the next couple years was an eventful experience to say the least, the worse I'd say was Covid in early 2020 that put us in lockdown then the never ending increasing housing cost etc. My once approved amount was near to the increase of 30k and greater housing prices. I chose another avenue for financing and went through another process for approval. What was suppose to take about 4 to 6 weeks was more like over two months. Once completion was accomplished I signed a purchase agreement on a new build. Closing was to be set on or before Aug 31 2021. Then Hurricane Ida passed directly over the area and more delays began. I'm not going to lie there were a couple times I was tempted to walk away. I lost count on extensions I signed. Finally Dec 13 2021 I closed on my new build. Hallelujah. Praise God. Not only did he see me through this from beginning to end but I was so grateful he guided me to meet Shemika and place my purchasing a home in her hands. She never lost the faith we were going to get there. She always patiently listened to my rants when things were challenging. As she always reminded me, in his timing. I will always be grateful to her for not only the professionalism she showed but for the personal touch she added with a faithful and caring heart.
