Experiencia negativa: ✨ THEY REFUSE LEASE RENEWAL AGREEMENT FOR NO REASON AT ALL!!!! ✨ There buildings in Plattsmouth have roaches. I put a picture of 1 from 8/8/26 in there hall way. Rent from them if you only want temporary & to deal with rude men. They completely ignore there tenants whether it's in person or over the phone. They allow mowing company's to come through here flipping people off, calling them names & breaking windows to hikes buildings and they still don't do anything. They allow your children to walk in glass for a month before finally sending someone out to clean it. They are rude and have came off racist towards us a few times. Matt & Karl are both very rude & unprofessional. I have multiple texts to prove so from when they did actually decide to get back to me. Which they only did get back to me because I made it known things that they were doing and allowing were illegal & that I would turn them in. Funny right.

Experiencia positiva: I can't speak for their other properties, but the one I rented was not very well maintained. When we moved in I noticed the yard was barely cared for, with trees growing into the fence, the deck was falling apart, the carpets were pulling up, and there was visible water damage on the ceilings. You would think they would want to fix these things before someone moves in. When we asked about replacing the stove because the clock/timer didn’t work, the property manager (Karl) acted like it was an inconvenience and suggested we just use the microwave as a clock/timer instead (was pretty rude in my opinion as I'm sure he wouldn't want a stove with features not working correctly either). Maintenance requests also seemed to fall more on the tenants to handle rather than the property manager, which I found odd since I’ve never experienced that with any other rental company. Overall, the property didn’t feel worth what they charged for a 3 bed, 2 bath home. They also deducted around $50 from our security deposit without explaining why, and after we returned the keys, there was no communication about whether the house was left in good condition, no real closing thank you/statement, etc. The experience wasn’t terrible, but communication and overall property management could definitely have been better.

Experiencia negativa: I am not a tenant, nor hired this firm because of one telephone. Gina was probably one of the rudest people I have ever interacted with. Instead of listening she interrupted several times and talked over me. If this is how you treat a potential client I would hate how you treat actual clients.

Experiencia negativa: If renting, this company is horrible. Andrea, the property manager responsible ignores calls on broken items and safety issues, I had to replace ceiling lights and ceiling fans that did not work, too many outlets and switches were broken to count, and I had to replace them all, the tub was so moldy and unsanitary, I couldn’t even get professional cleaners to get it out. Before I moved in- I was told the only way a pee-stained carpet would be replaced is if I removed and disposed of it - they would put in the new carpet. Only to get nickel and dimed at move out. Congrats Rusty Hike, Andrea has made you the Slumlord of Omaha!

Experiencia fantástica: In 2018, I bought a house in Bellevue. 6 months later I get orders to move to MD. I attempted to sell it for a couple months through a different real estate company, which failed. I called Hike Real Estate to use them as a property management company. They quickly rented the house out to someone who was trustworthy. The tenant lived in the house for 2.5 years and only had normal wear and tear. Once the tenant moved out, the house was pretty much sold the next day. Matt was extremely helpful throughout this experience. Thanks Matt and Hike Real Estate!

Experiencia fantástica: We are very grateful to Matt McKinney for his quick response when the furnace at the home we are renting did not start up during the first cold snap of the season. He came within an hour or so of our request for assistance. Matt started the furnace and also showed us what to do in case it happened again. It was becoming very C-O-L-D inside the house, so we were very appreciative to Matt for his quick action—both for ourselves and for our little preschooler. Thanks again, Matt!

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent from them!!! My ex and I broke up and I agreed to move out. Before I even had my stuff out of the house. Lee let her and her and her new bf sign a new lease. I never even got to put in my 30 day notice. I never got my deposit back as apparently they just rolled my deposit money onto their new lease. And to add insult to injury they wanted to take me to small claims court for late fees that the ex and I had when we paid late a couple times. So not only did she not have to pay the deposit she didn’t even have to pay the late fees. When I brought this up to Lee about the deposit. He said the late fees were more than my half of the deposit. I asked him why wouldn’t they take it out of the full deposit and split the remainder of the deposit between the both of us. ( it’ was my money from my checking acct as we never shared a checking acct) so I thought saying splitting it would be better than nothing. And this is where Lee said he had said he had a meeting and hung up on me. Very Inappropriate and unprofessional .

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent or buy from these people. They were supposed to rent to this military family while her husband was deployed when the wife went in to sign the lease. He said he changed his mind. I am not saying it directly involved they are a young black couple with a toddler at home. They are my family I have the lease I am a white male in a interracial relationship. Also I have had black mold removed in this unit 4 times. I have contacted matt at Hike and nothing has been done. I would contact the city about it but every one knows who the Mayor is. So I will go through the military channels instead and contact someone about the racial concerns and the black mold issue

Experiencia fantástica: Worry free property management while I was overseas with the military. Ellen Blinn is empathetic to my care and concern of both home and tenants. She keeps me informed and makes solid recommendations for service, repair/replacement, etc. Administrative communications are prompt and professional and records are well kept.

Experiencia fantástica: Lee's knowledge of Omaha real estate is far superior to most agents, and he brings that knowledge and skill to the benefit of his clients. Repairs are done efficiently and well. The bookkeeping is done promptly and accurately.

Experiencia negativa: Please be cautious when using Hike Real Estate. First time I viewed a property managed by them, the property manager double booked showings, and the owner of the company told me it was because they dont get paid that much and dont have the money to keep driving out to the properties. Then I ended up renting a house shown by Hike, but was actually managed by another company, Joe Wendl Properties. DO NOT RENT FROM JOE WENDL PROPERTIES!!! He is difficult to work with, blames on issues on tenant, even if the issues were previous problems. He also does not return deposits!!! He expected me to clean the gutters before i left the property, which was ridiculous.
