Experiencia negativa: Stay away from Sotheby's, Old Lyme. While some good agents may exist there, certainly not so for the "A" team consisting of Allyson Cotton and Liz Squillacote. I started with them and they quickly lost interest when my house didn't sell the first weekend. They were dismissive and condescending when I asked for a strategy. It was so unpleasant that I switched to Jessica Blancato, who was no better. I have bought and sold a total of 7 homes before this house in Old Lyme, and have had very smooth transactions working with agents from William Raveis, Coldwell Banker, REMAX, and Country Living. So it never occurred to me that realtors could be so awful until I worked with these three from Sotheby's, Old Lyme. While they do work for 2 1/2 percent commission, (as many agents do,) the unnecessary stress created, arrogant attitude, and lack of care resulted in an awful experience for me. Seller/buyer beware!

Lessons learned - GET ALL things in writing because sales pitches here are simply to motivate a sale, not represent with integrity...

Experiencia fantástica: Robin linares is fantastic! She is FAST with texts and emails which is super important in this competitive market. Robin was very patient with us. We nagged her to look probably double the amount of homes as normal buyers, but she never gave up on us. Covid definitely slowed our search down, when I would get discouraged she was always very positive and gave lots of hope. We talked to her almost everyday about houses for the past year before finding our dream home. If it wasn’t for Robin’s fast communications someone else would have bought the house from under us. Robin was always on-top of any questions or concerns we had during the buying process. She also provided us with great recommendations for inspectors and other contractors. We closed yesterday, I actually said to my wife how Robin will forever be considered a friend and I hope she can come to our house for drinks when it’s done!
