Experiencia negativa: Just like other tenants,I've also had an ongoing maintenance issue. I've been waiting months for a shower head to get replaced. It squirts water from the side unto the floor. I believe it's old as there's tape on it. I just moved in 4 months ago and can't take a real shower. I've notified them time after time, the most recent yesterday morning. This time, no response... EDIT TO ADD.. THEY JUST REPLIED TO EMAIL THEM, THEN DELETED THEIR RESPONSE. Smh..Axis if you really wanted to fix the issue you , why delete your response. You may contact me I Just emailed them as the owner's (response) is back up even though they have my contact information...Hopefully I'll be updating with great news of a new shower head, and this wasn't to try to look good publicly.... which I have a feeling it is... UPDATE: I ended up having to fix it myself with the help of someone. Be cautious!

I cannot complain about anything as far as maintenance cleaning, etc. the only issue I will say that I am not happy with is there snow removal but other than that I have had maintenance called and they were on it at ASAP other than that I have never had any other issues. It’s quiet nobody bothers you. They don’t bother you unless they have to for something you pay your rent on time. You have no issues I can answer for anybody else’s maintenance issues, but I have only had to call them twice in the whole time I lived here and they were right on it.

I’ve loved living here, it’s the perfect amount of space for me, since I’ve always wanted a separate room for my office. Having two floors to myself has been a nice change. The new ownership is helpful and prompt with their responses. I definitely recommend living here, or at any of the properties managed by Axis!

Experiencia negativa: Axis bought the property I was living in from another management company and the property immediately went downhill. We went from having someone on site everyday to no one ever being around. This caused an influx of trash everywhere at all times, furniture and other things left in the lobby and the parking lot. You can’t ever get a hold of anyone at the office by phone. And their actual email for management can’t be found anywhere on the website, the one listed is for leasing questions only. They do quarterly apartment checks, which makes me feel like I’m in college again, and if your apartment is even the slightest bit dirty you are given a deadline to get it clean and send pictures to them? I had just returned home after traveling for two months for work, so my mess was my laundry needing to be put away and my luggage that needed to be put away as well. I had just renewed my lease and was not given the option when renewing to go month to month - an option I was always given with the old management company - apparently with Axis you have to contact them for this option, but that was never communicated to me in anyway - and then I suddenly had to move for work two months into my new lease. I kept the apartment in OC because I hadn’t found housing in the new town yet, so was living in temp housing - but I was needed right away. I was given a price cut in the break lease price and the employee I talked with applied it to my portal so I could make payments to it. However it was never communicated or noted so no one else at the office knew. And the way the portal works, when the automatic payments were taken for monthly rent - payments were going towards the break lease fee instead of rent but nobody noticed that so I was getting late rent fees added to my rent and getting texts about how my rent was late - even though I could prove with bank statements that I had paid it. Also, they tacked on fees to the rent that the old owners didn’t have. They now charge you for the utilities they claim are included in your rent, it’s just an extra fee. There’s also a community fee or whatever for the gym and the community room even though the gym is the saddest thing ever and the community room is by reservation only is locked a majority of the time.

Experiencia fantástica: No matter who I'm dealing with at access properties whether it be on site or in the office my experiences with them is always pleasant and leaving me feeling good about the reasons why I called them. They're always willing to work with me and help me through whatever issues I have. And the maintenance is spot on with a timely manner.

Experiencia negativa: Edit - I lived here a total of 4 days. They refused to mutually terminate my lease, although they admitted to flooding and roach infestation. I had to take extra legal measures. For a total of FOUR DAYS being here. Save yourself the time and money. Haven’t even lived here for a month and won’t be living here any longer - they are money hungry slum lords. Roach infested units. They lie about completion of pest control. Trash (mattresses, couches) has been sitting around the trash cans for ages. This is BY FAR the worst, slummiest property management people I have ever been under. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Their staff members also make remarks and complaints about them. NEVER EVER RENT UNDER AXIS ! Seriously. They prey on low income people, fortunately enough I’m not one and I don’t have to deal with their bs. Attorney involved! Don’t rent here.

He was very well mannered and explained all we needed to know. Honestly if I were running the company Austin is exactly the type of employee I would like to have.

Experiencia negativa: Pretty terrible about maintenance and when moving out charged me some $500 "cleaning fee" - that place was spotless. Called management and texted repeatedly, they never itemized anything. Never followed up. I have photos of the place being clean, but they use their middle man to get the money from me and tell me the issue is with Axis, not them. Stay away, specifically from the 527 sioux center apartments, really shady company. Update: I noticed the company responded (they are more responsive to reviews then tenants!). I'll put my response below. A paint touch-up? I have to pay for your paint now after I leave? That was not in the contract. I said I received a "cleaning fee" which was never itemized nor explained despite repeated attempts to reach the property manager and attempts to resolve the situation. This was blatant up charging. P.S. I'm attaching a few photos to show others how "I left the unit" - somehow this constitutes a $500+ charge. I have more to showcase how clean it is as well but you may be hearing from me again soon.

Experiencia negativa: The only good thing about this place (Prairie Shores Apartments) is that when it’s quiet—no matter if it’s day or night—its quiet. *knock on wood*. But overall this management had to do better: there needs to be a maintenance team for each individual building they have that actually does a thorough job, not having no experience, half-assed or not at all “fresh out of college” 25 yr old Gen Z technicians that don’t even know what they are doing/ not paying attention anyway to what they are doing. There needs to be an actual laundry room/ area on the property (there is enough land) that has more than just 8 washers and dryers (1 washer and dryer on the 2nd floor; 2 washers and 2 dyers on the first floor; 1 washer and 1 dryer on the 2nd floor, and the price to wash and dry ranges from $1.60-$1.72 depending on the floor you are on or decide to use.) The lack of cleanliness around the property. Obnoxious children (but that’s a individual parenting issue) and the tenants that are drunk and loud, and walk like they have cinder blocks attached to their feet, it it feels like every step they take they are going to fall through the ceiling (a soundproof and insulation issue). Some tenants are disgusting bc there is a roach infestation and now pest control is coming out again bc it’s the season with it getting back warm outside. Tenants are not notified ones in time when water is shut off for [emergency] maintenance. Maintenance requests take weeks, sometimes MONTHS to be completed. Other than that, the only plus is the quiet you can get during some time in the day, but especially you can get quiet at night, esp when I’m coming home from a long day at work.

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoy living here. I've only had to contact Management three or so times and each one I got a response the same day. I enjoy that we can handle the issues over text because I work client-based hours.

Experiencia fantástica: I have enjoyed my time renting from Axis Property Holdings. My maintenance requests have always been taken care of quickly and efficiently. They manage the building very well and treat the residents with respect. A cleaning service comes every week to make sure the hallways and entrances look pristine. Overall the experience renting here has been top notch! I highly recommend renting from them if you are looking for an apartment.

Experiencia negativa: I have been living in one of their buildings for 3 years. In the begining everything was great. Now not so much. I have had 2 open maintenance requests for the last 3 months. I am also currently on day 3 of no working toilet in my apartment but all I get out of them is that they have contacted a vendor.

Experiencia negativa: Apts are infested with roaches. Management expects tenants to pay to remove them. There is garbage in the hallways and parking lot. Cara get broke into on a regular basis. Horrible place to live.

Experiencia negativa: If you want to live in an apartment that harbors a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, then DO NOT rent with axis. If you want to feel like an ant in a world where big real estate investment tycoons charge outrageous prices for mediocre living spaces because they're the only option in the region, then DO rent with axis. I lived in one of their apartments for a year, and I have zero good things to say about them. When I moved in, the apartment was a mess. Dust and dead bugs filled my kitchen cabinets. The medicine cabinet in the bathroom was still filled with the previous tenants things. And they had put in "new" vinyl flooring in the kitchen area. They did, however the "new" flooring was about as flat as a dirt road. It was littered with lumps and soft spots, probably because they paid some poor laborer dirt to do it. Things did not get better from there. The building had a heavy cockroach infestation, and despite my own efforts to keep a clean apartment and usage of cockroach traps, they were still a near daily issue. I constantly had water from other apartments getting backed up into my bathtub through the drain. The issue persisted even after they sent a couple of plumbers in to try and fix it. They also fail to provide a safe environment for their tenants. I had issues with packages being stolen. When I asked them to help me out with the security camera footage, they told me I was SOL. I also had an issue with one of the other tenants. He would constantly give me dirty looks and get very standoffish as I walked to my vehicle. It even escalated to the point where he would take pictures and videos of me as I did, even despite my efforts to be a positive member of the community. When I contacted axis to figure out a solution, they once again told me that I was on my own. Axis doesn't care about the satisfaction or safety of their customer, they just want to milk every penny out of them while they are stuck in their contracts. I will never again live in an Axis apartment. I would rather live in a cardboard box. I hope at least one person finds this review helpful.

Experiencia negativa: I live in one of the apartment complex’s they own and they are the worst.. they take forever to fix anything, and even if they do most of it is just half done, you also have to bug the crap out of them to get anything don’t. Oh and when you try to work with them on things like rent they will still charge you the late fee. They have rude staff I think I’ve only met one or two nice people that work for them other than that they are all rude. I had asked for video footage one time because my dog got into an accident and they completely ignored it, when my dog couldn’t walk very well because of his accident they told me I needed to keep him quiet at a certain time or else he’d need to find a new home, my ex boyfriend had a dog and they made him get rid of him cause we couldn’t control his barking cause of the people next door, but still made my ex get rid of his dog. Not the best people honestly, when I can I’m moving and never renting from them.. they are rude and just don’t care about their property.. and that’s sad… oh and I had to wait in a few heat advisory’s to get a new air conditioner cause they said “my apartment was to messy to walk in and it smelled” I’m sorry but I keep my place picked up and smelling nice, I have a puppy who loves to play and he’ll have accidents in the night. but their staff is extremely rude most times.

If you happen to live anywhere in Western / Central / Northern Iowa, Axis Property Management provides affordable rental units all over the state of Iowa! As Well as a property in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! Axis has maintained control of the apartment complex I have lived in for 4+ Years. The Staff at Axis Property Management in the Orange City, Iowa Office has exhibited exemplary management skills. They have shown me grace, patience, and time when other issues in life arose. I would strongly suggest checking out Axis for your rental needs and even expanding your personal investment portfolio! GO CHECK THEM OUT ASAP!!!

Experiencia negativa: Axis Management recently took over management of our building, and so far, the experience has been incredibly disappointing. While our previous landlord had their shortcomings, Axis has somehow managed to do worse. We’ve had our water shut off in our unit multiple times without any notice, and now there’s loud construction happening at 9:30 at night while residents are trying to sleep. If you value peace of mind and basic consideration, I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent from these people. They will. Do whatever they can to make a dollar. There are unreasonable they don't listen to you they will not give you the benefit of the doubt they will not even look at your evidence to prove you're right. They think because they have money they can do whatever they want to the other people that are less fortunate his company literally took over property managing and bought the building from the property managers that I originally rented from and when I moved in this apartment was not cleaned. Upon move out I was told that I had to make that place like better than when I moved in or going to keep my deposit. I clean that place I fixed repairs that were not my damage I scrubbed and even though I have pictures to prove. They were not going to give me my deposit back. They wouldn't even listen or hear the prior property managers word. He was calling in and they wouldn't even talk to him. They charged me $200 to clean a stove that was not clean when I moved in a nd I cleaned it the best I could I had to buy the drip pans for the stove. These people get their money from stealing from people that are less fortunate and they don't give a damn about who or what they take they will take it for any reason. They charge me for carpet cleaning even though the carpets had to be replaced. These people are not good people they do not help people they try to make it a lot harder for people by raising rent take your deposit and they will not listen to anything if it is a positive on your behalf.

They do not take care of lawn care they have made me get rid of all of my children's toys outside and then they are turning this place into a barren wasteland. They are impossible to get a hold of and I do not recommend them. The best landlords I've had yet, they make sure that things are fixed and if there's any issues they handle them accordingly!

Experiencia negativa: I rented from Axis for over a year. They recently sold the property. I had $136.02 credit in my portal. When I contacted Axis they took my money & credited next month's rent. I contacted them numerous times over a week. Now I look at my portal & it comes up a credit. I contacted Axis in Orange City Iowa by email. I received an email back & they said I can't get my money back. They turned it over to the new owner. Wow! Axis can tamper with the portal for over a week & do whatever they want! When I moved into the apartment it was dirty...I contacted them through the year for repairs & they just avoided me. My closet doors are still out back, my screens are gone, etc. I just found out I've been paying the lights, water & gas in the laundry room while they collected. Crazy how they operate. They don't know how to answer the phone. The repairmen kept saying they would be back to fix certain things. What a year & I'm out $136.02. I add photos of the dirt I vacuumed up after I moved in. Look at the dirt I sucked up before I moved in...What a year!

Axis bought this place and every since the became our newest landlords they have came right away or emailed me or text or both of letting me know when they would be here to fix things. They don't slack off. There team mates are amazingly nice as they are as well. If you have issues and don't get fixed right away they will tell me. They judge noone. They are pet friendly but if u can't keep up with your pet or the house they will talk to individual. They always text and email out when bug man comes for a normal spray every month. They whipped up this place. They been here since July 2023. So within a year they have got things done as it should have been before they came to buy this place. I'm very greatful to live out here in peace without worrying if someone will get me or my children. It is a place where u need a key to get in our buildings. If you are coming for a visit you will have to go down and unlock the door to let your friends in. I personally don't allow people in my apt, for reason where I left my last place. This place has a buy person that comes every month just to spry to make sure the ants stay away and also just in case u find a bug. Which I haven't seen any bugs since I've been here. If you have bugs I recommend don't let anyone in your home. never had a issue the only issue I have is all my screens are marked up but a animal. I have a cat but it's not from him. I won't let him in the rooms to be in window because they love screens lol. My porch screen is broken. I never reported it because I have like more then 5 times with last landlord. So over time I just forgot to mention it to new landlords. Also the hallways stunk for the 2 years iv been here before they took over. Now our hallways are smelling better and one more issue it's a secure place please keep doors shut you never know. I don't let my own family in my apt. Long story I know but I want to promote people that are in need for a place just try to sign up. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING HERE. other reviews may say different but Axis has only owned this place a year they will work with you on some things or maybe all. The price went up for rent as a good thing because trash and water is now in with rent. Give them a chance.

Experiencia fantástica: Been living at the Parkview apartments since April. Rental process was straight forward. Do your due diligence and have all needed paperwork in order and the process is less than a week. Apartment is fully updated inside and out. Actual full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. It's minimal noice and there's ample parking for residents and street parking if you have guests. Axis are the new managers and they are prompt to reaching back if you have any concerns with your unit

Experiencia fantástica: Moved here almost 3 years ago. My apartment is large and was clean when I moved. It is a well kept up building with nice neighbors and is quiet. It has an elevator, laundry room and a weight room in the building. Personally, I have thoroughly enjoyed my life here and Axis, even when I went through a very tough ordeal with my ex roommate, was fully supportive about helping me stay in this Home. They have been amazing in my good times and in the bad. I recommend anyone who wants a clean, supportive, and nice land management team to rent from these people.

They communicated well, answered my questions where i could understand them, and were very polite! When i moved into one of their properties, if any issue arised whether it was in the lobby or in my place, they were very fast and responsive to fix the issues! I highly recommend using their services!!
