The owners, Alex Watson and Dave Moyer were an absolute pleasure! Our journey with Alex, which spanned the better part of a year, started while we were still living on the mainland and continued well after we moved into a rental property. Between virtual visits, open houses, and private showings, we looked at well over 50 houses that spanned from Eva to Kaneohe. It’s important to let you know that my wife and I are exacting buyers (some friends say pain in the …). This was only made worse by having several uncompromising requirements which automatically ruled out quite a few nice homes. Throughout the journey, Alex never complained, stayed professional, friendly, objective, honest, and positive. He never pushed a house for the sake of a sale; this plus finding the right fit for us was integral to Alex’s business (and personal) philosophy. He was honest about the state real estate market. The building had so much to offer, the pool and sauna were a must! But probably the best part was Eric with Hawaii Sands, he made everything easy, to include the online portal with all digital signatures, reviewing, inspections, monthly payments and maintenance requests, of which I only had to submit one. Eric was on top of everything, and was easy to communicate with, and was prompt with replies. If I ever move back to the island, Hawaii Sands will be my first choice!

Experiencia negativa: Please DO NOT RENT FROM this management company. We just moved out their rental property in Kapolei, and had so much stresses dealing with their knit picking every little mark on the home at move out. We paid $967 for professional cleaning (used their vendor), and still did not meet their standard. The 1700 sq ft home was built in 1996 and we paid $4000/month, the first day we moved in, the wood cabinet fell out and landed on my foot, and they said the home is impeccable, took them a few weeks to fix it. During my move out, my 4 year olds kid accidentally drawn on one of the blinds and they wanted us to pay for a brand new custom blind (said the blind was custom built and it costed $7000 for the whole system, also demanded additional $1500 for paint touch up for cuffing and others, they caused us so much anxiety and stresses, just to go after our deposit ($4000). In his initial email, David even demanded us to keep paying the rent until the house meet their standard for new tenant to move in. We are young professionals, always paid our rent on time, and rarely need any service/repair from them (when we did ask for their service, it would take months to get it fixed because their owner uses his own Handiman and not the Handiman from rental management company). We have rented so many places in our life from Washington, Idaho, California and now in Hawaii throughout our schooling and training, Never had any issues and never been so stressful until we rented from this rental company. We have been working with David Moyer; at the walk through inspection, he made it sound like it won't be a big issue with the cuffing and drawing but they turned it around and sent us very threatening email, accusing us of all the excessive wear and tear. Their action is VERY misrepresented of the Aloha spirit of Hawaii - So Avoid this management company at all cost. We really WISH someone would have warned us of this company. We do hope this yelp review to will help the future tenants.

We contacted Dave as we were trying to switch out property management. We had our home up in the market for 5 months with our initial property management and they could not get us a tenant.
