Facing an emotional estate sale for a younger family member is tough enough, but when it also requires extensive work to a house to be sale ready, it makes it harder. She understood the emotions that go with a decades long family home and guided us gracefully, with poise, confidence and precision skill. Elizabeth has no stop in her. Everything Elizabeth recommended was exactly the right thing to do. We had confidence at every decision point that her ethics and integrity were at the forefront and for our best interest, not hers. She recommended contractors, a pre-emptive home inspector and pest remediators to do the work, and they showed up! On time! And they completed the work on time at a very high-quality level. She guided us on what buyers are looking for as well as what not to do that we would have done if left to our own judgment. This included staging the house and putting it at its best light. When we got through the several month-long project, the house was turn-key and ready for sale. She had successfully turned around a house that was not well cared for to a gem. She held an open house, after creating a marketing plan that included a narrated video of a walk-through of the house as well as online and social media campaigns. The result? Over 20 prospective buyers in the dead of winter and Holiday season and multiple offers over asking price. It didn't end there – Elizabeth continued to hold our hand and guide decision making through the buyers' inspection, negotiations, and represented us at the closing so we didn't have to interrupt our work schedules to attend. The closing is important of course. However I think the most valuable part of working with Elizabeth was her honesty, whether good news or not so good, her accessibility – she responded to every single text, phone call, and email within minutes, not hours or days – and her patience and wisdom to help us make the right decisions and calm our anxiety and emotions.
