Now that we’ve had time to actually live here, I wanted to come back and add to it—because our experience with Peaceland Properties has continued to be just as wonderful. Every time we have needed to speak with Mike, our property manager, he has been as sweet as can be. He is kind, courteous, understanding, and always willing to work with us. When we've had an issue, we've never felt like a bother for calling. And Henry, who has handled repairs for us, has been incredible. When something has needed attention, they've responded amazingly fast, gotten it fixed, and gone above and beyond to make sure our family is taken care of. When Alberto first helped us find this house, we were simply thankful to have found a place that fit our family. What we didn't know then was just how much it would come to mean to us. This is the first place in a very long time that has truly felt like home. ❤️ From Alberto helping us get here, to Mike taking care of us as tenants, to Henry making sure our home is taken care of, Peaceland has been a blessing every step of the way. Albert is very personable and seems very professional about his business. When asked why he was out here on the 4th of July to cut the grass he told me that "because his mower had broken down the day before, got it repaired and didn't want to put it off until next week. Also he felt it was his responsibility." RESPECT!

Definitely goes above and beyond ! Built a new front porch and back stair case all in one day , has totally cleared my backyard out and now is redoing my bathroom floor ! Very consistent, respectful and a dedicated worker !!

Experiencia negativa: Google them, run. **Edit to add! No, wrong I actually rented from you several several times due to sheer desperation. Last house I kept telling them that they were code enforcement issues, called consistently for help with repair of a falling wall, electric issue, the floor caving in, windows screwed shut, no proper plumbing for grey water, even called code enforcement the manager, Mike made it very clear to me that he's got code enforcement in his back pocket. Stated those words exactly! I was told that my house or opinion didn't matter because they rent out 90%of rentals in HC and he didn't have to do anything about it. Bragged about renting out dilapidated homes to ppl who are desperate and in need. I've got several photos of the dilapidated homes. His poor, kind handyman just apologized profusely saying theyd love to remedy the situation properly, but mike, and the owners are just too cheap. The people who have left five stars did that to get money off of their rent. Ask locals about this company, we all know it very well. If you are in desperate need of a home with low moving costs then this is the way to go, but after you find that you are fighting your clean habitat and fighting away roaches and rats in a dilapidated home that they do nothing about you will quickly find yourself in a position where you need to get out ASAP. if anyone would like to private message me I would be more than happy to share my recordings, text messages, and photos of my many interactions with this company. There is a whole group on Facebook with several evidence of this as well don't take my word for it please do your research! ***The ppl who gave 5 star did it to get money off rent. Pls ask locals about this business! They are known for their shady practices.

Experiencia fantástica: Have been a tenant of peaceland a little over a year now. Mike and the whole peaceland crew have been wonderful to us. They can be a little slow with minor repairs at times but they manage alot of properties so they prioritize what's most urgent and they don't complain about repaired requests. Hands down the most pleasant people I have rented from in many many years!!! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a decent rental at a decent price. They are understanding and willing to work with you their pet policy is very good. Love peaceland properties and am so grateful for them.

Experiencia negativa: These people are so shady, do NOT rent from them. Their houses are often dilapidated and dangerous, but they won’t fix anything properly. The house I was in was condemnable, but when I expressed my concerns, they never tried to correct. I attempted to go to code enforcement (which they said go ahead and call bc they have some sort of arrangement with them), and code enforcement told me to my face the place was a fire and safety hazard (windows were even screwed shut), but they continued to give them extensions even when things weren’t being fixed properly. I finally left for the safety of my family (much to my own financial hardship as they refused to give back my deposit) and shortly thereafter someone else was moved in…not more than 6 months later the house caught fire from the electrical box that had been in clear need of repair. It was finally condemned after the fire, but I am so grateful I had moved my family out of there before disaster struck.

Anytime I have had a problem (which is rare) I call Mike and he sends Henry ASAP to fix it which he does everytime and I never have a problem again with the same situation. Definitely recommend Peaceland they have affordable housing with great employees. Mike is very professional and knowledgeable about his properties as well. Glad I found you guys THANKS.

Experiencia negativa: Hear horror stories all the time about this company. My son rented there, didn't stay long. Horrible apartment, never fixed what they claimed they would. Active drug dealing next door all hours of the night. I would not recommend to a homeless person if it was free.

My Family & I have been tenants for quite a while now, I would recommend Peaceland Property's for anyone or Family looking for quality & affordability. The Property Manager (Mike Nagel) is by far one of the best Manager's I have had the pleasure to rent from. He is respectful, Professional & I appreciate all he does for our community. The Maintenance Personnel, It was also a pleasure to have had such a professional come over to fix/resolve & address a repair. He was kind, quick & thorough.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I have been renting from Peaceland properties for about 5 years now. We've had 2 different houses and they are among the best to rent from. Mike is friendly and fare. One of the few rental companies that allow pets. Their maintenance man Henry is great. The few repairs we've needed done have been done in a reasonable amount of time. Lightning fried the outside breaker box and was quickly replaced the next morning. I would recommend Peaceland properties to anyone looking for a place to live. I plan on being with them for many more years.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible. First class slumlord. The rent is way off for the area. They charge coastal prices. If the state were to investigate the homes they rent out, most of them would be condemned. Holes in the floor, no smoke detectors, walls separating from the floors, I wouldn't allow my dog to live in these places. They don't fix stuff properly.

I've seen some nice, comfortable and affordable homes offered to highlands county residents! Peaceland cares about their tenants and their employees and customer service is top notch!

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I have been tenants of Peaceland for quite some time now, through two different properties. Mike, the manager is really a great guy. He has been extremely helpful and very quick to get any repairs that we have needed done. We have never had an issue with him or Peaceland Properties. The price of rent is fair for the locations that we have rented. They do not mess with you as far as telling you that you cant do this or that. All they ask is just be a decent tenant, keep your place clean, and pay your rent on time and they leave you alone. Would definitely recommend Peaceland Properties to anybody needing an affordable, decent property to rent.

The property manager is great, if you tell him that something is broken at your home he sends his maintenance man out right away. I see bad reviews on Peaceland as a company and then I see some people commenting about mike but honestly I don’t understand what they have to complain about because as long as you keep in contact with mike about what’s going wrong at the house your at and you pay your rent you shouldn’t have a problem with him or Peaceland. This is just from my experience as a tenant who pays their rent on time and keeps in contact ‍♀️

Experiencia negativa: Hands down worst experience I've ever had as a renter and I hope no one has to go through what I did. They take advantage of low income disabled persons and women. Irresponsible and ignorant to complaints the roaches the mold it was just awful . :Don't waste your energy or your hard earned money to this trash it's not worth it at all !

Experiencia positiva: If you have money and keep on them they will rent to you. Their properties are nothing fancy but they're adequate. Maintenance is a hassle and only gets done to the bare minimum so we really only call if it's a quality of life issue and try to handle everything else on our own. If you're just starting out we're moving to the area and need somewhere quick this could definitely be an option if you're looking for a higher-end experience this is not a company for you

Experiencia negativa: I give no stars to Peaceland, but so I can give my response to this management company I have no choice. In 2019, my fiance and I moved to Sebring. I did realize the doors were broken, it had styrofoam to cover up the doors,that unsafe #1. We did give an advance on rent to do repairs on things. When we saw the property,we thought it was good. But things started falling apart. The floors were bad, septic coming through the house. Roof caved in from back room,etc. When I told him the first time I was holding back the because no repairs, he told he had doors for me. I waited 3 months for the doors. And yes paid my rent, I proof on that too. I have videos and proof of pictures. I called code enforcement Mike said he was giving a 3 day notice. Up until now Code enforcement still has the house in need of repairs. If you ask why I stayed so long, is because you need money to move. I didn't have money at the time or a place. People will read this judge, because of the situation. We have no one in Sebring. And the handyman Henry, he isn't worth nothing. He'll come into the house take measurements of things, say he'll be back and never returns. I bet you Peace land Mike's own property is beautiful. Well kept. But anything from Peaceland do not read. Oh paper to the judge, he told the judge he would always send someone to fix repairs. He totally lied. I could go on, but I'll end here. And for those that say they are great or they are wonderful and think people don't paid rent, you people are totally blind to this company. Cause I paid my rent and never gave no trouble. No cops no nothing ever came to my place. We were quite tenants. Here nice pictures I complained about, then I was taken to court by the way. Plug outlet coming out of the wall, roof caved.i have so many.

I notified them the were texting the wrong person but apparently THEY DO NOT CARE and continue to text me of someone elses past due amount. Experiencia fantástica: We have rented from Mike for over a year, he is an awesome landlord, and we love the maintenance man Henry, every time we had a problem it was taken care of, might have took a little longer than we wanted but they are on the job doing the best they can they will come out right away and temporarily fix the problem and be back to fix the full problem, they have a lot of properties so we respect him and Roy and his work staff, wonderful people to rent from , me and my husband give them 5 star’s !

Experiencia fantástica: Been here for over 3 years haven’t had any problems with Mike or the maintenance crew and only had minor problems that were fixed ASAP my apartment is well insulated and has an on demand hot water system so my electric bill is very reasonable

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a great experience with peaceland , Mike has been great to myself and family , I am happier in my home with them than I have been since moving to Florida 4 years ago and dealing with slumlords and issues . They have been upfront and honest and work with you to make sure you are renting a home for for your family that fits your needs and wants we LOVE our home and hope to stay here for many years . The bad reviews are people who are not paying rent and trash their homes and they probably have not even read their lease to see that they are in fault not the landlord . Dont pay you don't stay .... Can't fault a place for evictions due to non payment or needy people who quit paying because they expect maintenance to fix issues they caused and are responsible for fixing !!!

If there is a wait, it's only if there is an emergency that takes priority elsewhere. Landlord went above and beyond to make the house we rented a home. Reasonably priced as well. Don't plan on leaving any time soon

Experiencia fantástica: I've lived at my current address, which is owned by Peaceland Properties, for a little over 2 years and I have had a pretty good experience living here. I've had no issues with the current manager. He's pretty understanding when it comes to any problems I may have on my end and works with me, which is a really big deal to me and I value. My maintenance requests are taken care of quickly, with usually a 2 day turnaround time, including the time I had to get my water heater replaced. My apartment is not without it's cosmetic faults, but there are no holes or water leaks in the walls, floors, or roof. We even got a metal roof put on about a year ago. I have window a/c units that they service. I also have ZERO mold. Everything is in running order and I do my part to maintain and clean it, to keep it that way. The current maintenance man knows what he is doing and can literally fix anything. I have no plans on moving in the near future and will continue to work WITH my landlord on any problems that may arise. If I were to change anything pertaining to my home or my landlord, it would just be cosmetic changes, like the marigold and maroon colors they painted the outside! (lol) Otherwise 5 stars!!

Experiencia negativa: If i could give zero stars I would. This company preys on the poor and working class families and disabled in Highlands County. Their properties are in horrible condition, they don't fix them, our AC broke and we had termites, and our load bearing wall had a water leak that was weakening it. They refused to fix any of it and kept giving excuse after excuse why the maintenance guy couldn't come. Then they kept our security and last months rent when we moved out after giving them notice. DO NOT RENT FROM PEACELAND. SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I haven't rented long from this management company, however I think that Mike does his best seeing he manages a lot of places. I haven't had any issues with him or his conduct as some reviews claim. My only downfall would be the not getting back to me right away but like I said he is very busy and I understand. Great job and keep up the great work.
