Even when things felt overwhelming or emotional on our end, she stayed patient, supportive, and super responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we are so grateful for everything she has done. Stephanie was the person I spoke to when I first applied she's been very helpful and friendly and accommodating and made my transition to a new place go very smoothly. Everyone that works there that I've met always welcome you with a smile and make sure any questions are concerned are always answered or addressed very quickly as well as professionally. I highly recommend then if you are looking for a place to rent.

Experiencia fantástica: Choice One Property Management has been great managing our rentals. We were working with another property management firm in town, but moving to Choice One is THE best decision we’ve made. And wish we had done it sooner. Terri and Becky are professional and always follow through on their duties. Our deposits are made on-time, statements are accurate, and for once, our tenants pay their rent on time. I trust them to manage our properties and have found them to have integrity, which is sorely missing in property management companies these days. Highly recommend them!

Experiencia negativa: AVOID! Don't rent from ChoiceOne if you can help it! The staff (except one) were always rude, and bad at communicating. The lease was very sketchy, beware that they will try to nickel-and-dime you. They did not clean our unit before we moved in, and we had to call in a professional with our own money. It was so bad, that we stayed in a motel the first night! They left an entire litter box in the bathroom for us to deal with?? They took too long to get a plumber when we needed one. We alerted them to wood-boring insects in the walls, and they did nothing. They routinely let the garbage cans overflow, and I saw rats. And when we moved out, we paid for a professional cleaner AGAIN, per the lease rules, and they still said our carpets were dirty and kept that part of our deposit. Not sure what they're spending all that hard-earned rent money on, but it's clearly NOT building maintenance or customer service.

The rental we were interested in posted on Friday, we swung by the Choice One Property Management office on Monday and were approved within hours. She walked us through the process which made it so easy. Would definitely use again. Thank you Stephanie!

I rented a property for about 2 years through Choice One and they made the experience the best I could ask for. Super sweet people, super quick to respond, and were very instant to be on top of things! I knew if a problem arouse with the house, I could always count on them to get maintenance ASAP! Even outside of being in the rental, they've still been helping me! I accidently left behind items, and some very delayed mail, and they've forwarded them to my new place! I couldn't be more grateful for them, and I couldn't reccomend Choice One more! If I were to move back into the area, I'd go through them, 100%.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely worst property management I've dealt with! Terri and Becki will lie to your face to get an application fee and deny you. They denied me after stating I had an esa dog, then I told them they couldn't do that, so then they moved forward and accepted my app fee but said they couldn't verify my rental history when they did not even try, they lied and said they left three voice mails and did not, then they said I couldn't list family friends as a rental history because they can lie for me, then it was because I have a driving while suspended on my record, you don't need a license to drive unless you are in commerce and that has nothing to do with renting, then they said I have a dog complaint about a dog that died years ago! They lied and said I have a 546 credit score when I have a 620 and plenty in my savings, They discriminate and I would not trust them. Plus I found a roach in the rental when they showed me it, only to take my application fee and deny me which they knew they were going to from the beginning as they tried to deny me for having an esa dog. They are not professional and I would not go through them because they do discriminate. After reading these comments wouldn't be surprised to hear everyone got together about a class action lawsuit suit against this unprofessional company for discrimination and scamming people for application fees. They use the place of business as a right off so they don't have to pay for rent where they live so they can save up more money while telling others with money they don't deserve a place for stupid petty reasons that have nothing to do with renting! This place is pathetic! The business isn't even a business it's just there house just shows how unprofessional they are or will be.

Experiencia negativa: OWNER REVIEW: At first I didn't want to write a review. 1. Because this company is notorious for responding to the reviews by attempting to tear the reviewer down. 2. I know that people read the reviews and I don't want to stop this company from being profitable. I do feel that other OWNERS need to know who you are going to be working with. I first reached out to Terri after a family member recommended her. I reached out and from the first response, I felt like Terri did not want to work with me. After a few days I received a call from my tenants saying that they almost called the cops on her because she scared them so much. She also told them that she thought homeless have been living in the house. Keep in mind that we had just been there the day before and were working on removing the last of the items that were in the garage and the bbq on the side of the house. When I asked Terri about what happened, she responded saying that she would ask her assistant ( I guess she hadn't gone out to the property?)There was only vague responses after that. A couple of days later she sent another email stating that there was "There is mold, rodent droppings, window sills are filthy and the rest of the unit needs cleaning" she mentioned that they would not rent the unit. Although I was confused as to what she was talking about, I accepted that not everyone is going to agree and we picked up the key and deposit and left the situation alone. I did not want to tell our family member that it did not work out due to damaging their relationship as the family member is a tenant of Choice One. Hopefully Terri stays professional and leaves them out if it. Fast forward to a few days later when Terri took it upon herself to email our family member and state that our standard of clean meets that of a slum lord. I was surprised that she felt that was a professional response to the situation. Long story short after we had the property inspected we have been given a report that there was no mold or rat droppings found on the property. In dealing with Terri these last couple of weeks I have found her extremely unprofessional and rude. If she didn't want to work with us, I respect that. Sometimes it just isn't a good fit. I feel that she went out of her way her email our family member. It was unnecessary and shows a lot about her character. On the bright side we found a wonderful property manager and are excited to move forward.

Experiencia negativa: Had a horrible experience trying to rent through this business last year. Definitely some communication problems within the business as I’d talk to one employee about something and then another the next day would say the opposite. Very unprofessional people, aside from Becky who was always very polite and did everything she could to be helpful. However, Britni, and Terri were both really rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them whenever we’d call to follow up after we’d paid $100 in application fees. They claimed we had owed a previous property management company $93 according to my credit report. I got them in contact with this business when they made no effort to do so (despite me providing all the contact information) and provided a written letter from the collections agency stating that balance had been paid off years ago. Britni promised us if we could provide this, we’d be able to get approved for the property we were interested in. They did not do this and we were basically laughed at when I brought this up. “We can’t just hold a rental property for almost 48 hours for you.” Y’all close every weekend for 2 days. You’re not looking for tenants then either. They notified us we were denied via email on a Tuesday at 5 o clock (when they close) so I had to wait to call Wednesday morning. After I got them in touch with my previous landlord and got them the information they needed by Thursday. I was probably on the phone with them 3 or 4 times a day and also emailing them to make sure everything was straightened out. Britni, who was the only one who seemed to know anything about our applications doesn’t work fridays of course so we had to wait all weekend too. I was then accused by a staff member (Britni’s mom) of having a “friend” at my old landlord’s office fill out the paperwork for me when I called again to follow up with them. I reminded her that I hadn’t lived there for 3 years, their office is 300 miles away, and no one works there who did when I lived there. In the end, they told us they’d already accepted another application for the property and didnt seem to care that we were misled for over a week. It seemed to me they just screwed up and didn’t want to admit it because they are a family. Britni was also very very difficult to get in touch with since she was constantly “out of the office” and almost every time she promised to get us information we needed or receipts for transactions, she would fail to do so. Wish them all the best and hope they can improve the experience for renters, but I will never try to work with them again.

Experiencia negativa: My experince with Choice One Property Management is on a more personal level. At first i was shocked and grateful, they responded fast and with kindness. Nice emails have stopped, "I am seizing the apartment Monday"" Have a nice weekend" I responded pleading they give my diabled mom one more week to vacate. She was't given a full 30 days. This past year my mom lost her boyfriend of 19 years his income went to. They hike the rent back to $850 without even a warning to which my mom could have stated she couldnt afford that and put her 30 days in. They would have had an empty cleaned spotless apartment. Money, Money, Money seems to be their only worry

Experiencia fantástica: A different kind of revue. I contacted Choice One thinking I would be renting our home but got an offer last minute to sell it. The reason I am writing this review is because of Dayna. She was professional and quick to respond to my inquires. She provided great information and we would work with her in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself. I contacted nearly every management company in the valley and got Dayna on the phone immediately. Most didn't bother to return my call.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been clients of Choice One for 15 years. Terri, Becky and crew have managed two properties for us in Ashland, and they have been fantastic. Before we started working with them, I managed our property, but never again! I never worry about anything- they find excellent tenants, repairs are always done in a timely way and they always keep me informed . I cannot recommend them highly enough!

They always took care of any problems quickly and treated us kindly. We would still be renting from them if the owners didn't decide to sell the house. We even got our full deposit back.
