Experiencia negativa: Currently renting for a year now, an they want to order us to leave with no explanation, let alone no return of phone calls or emails. All I get when I do reach Tonya or Natalie is hung up on or screamed at an being threatened to be thrown out if I call or email again. Very disappointing, especially when you worked as a painting contractor for this company. They have no respect.

Experiencia negativa: They dont respond to maintenance requests fast enough. Just recently we had our water turned off for an emergency water heater replacement. It's been off since 1pm on Dec. 2nd.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the Worst property management in Lancaster County. Penny is the most unprofessional individual to work with. Have had nothing but issues with the rental and it was not even a livable residence. Would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Absolute worst property management company to exist. Avoid them at all cost. You’re better off with any other company. No wonder they are losing all of their properties to other management companies. RUN from any unit they rent. I’ve worked in housing for 15 years and would never place any of my tenants with them. The place has tanked since Meghan has left. Take your business to her!!

Experiencia negativa: The house we rent is beautiful. We’ve been here for 3 weeks now. Only things is maintenance has not been out to fix any issues. We’ve been hung up on by a maintenance employee named Sadie and also the property manager Jess. Maintenance issues include but aren’t limited to; exposed electrical on light switches, garage door doesn’t work, patio screen doors broken and dishwasher leaks. Our portal is also out of wack and still shows we owe rent for May which we have proof of Payment. I hate to leave a review like this but what option are we left with. It’s upsetting when answers aren’t given, you’re hung up on, and told their short staffed etc. Just makes us feel like no one cares, like we’re bothering them. Were disappointed by this treatment and lack of customer service

Experiencia positiva: So far so good. I lived in this new place for a month as of yesterday. Encountered one issue a week in, but it was fixed same day. only thing I don't like is there are no lights in the living room and no window in kids room. Other then that.....all is well.

Experiencia negativa: Wouldn't recommend at all. Ask to have smoke detectors replaced. Never happened. Had to do myself. Asked to have roof leaks checked. No body ever did. I got hurt at work. Lost my job do to it. Was told they would work with me. Next thing you know. I find paper on my door telling me I need to be out in sixty days. After having hearing in DJ office. I get paperwork say I have to be out in 2 weeks. Now I have every thing in storage. With no place to live. Along with my mother who I had approved to live with me. Who is handicapped. Stay away from these a** holes!!! Update I'm being billed for repairs that were not needed. Even repairs that I done because they made no effort. Even repairs that were never made before I moved in. All they are con artists. Don't waste your time with them.

Experiencia negativa: When first getting our place we were told no pet fees. Then when we started the lease signing process they told us there was a $500 pet deposit and $50 monthly. Obviously it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. There was also a $35 lease signing fee. Something they didn’t tell us about till we already signed the lease. Just a bunch of hidden fees. When we moved into our new place we had some issues with our heat and sink leaking. I tried calling Amanda multiple times and left voicemails. She never responded to them. My mother in law had to call the person who showed us the house and tell him we needed the things fixed. Then they tried to tell us someone else at the company was in management of our property not Amanda. We never spoke with anyone other than Amanda. We signed the lease with Amanda. This company honestly just feels like a rip off.

Experiencia negativa: We have rented with this company for about 3 years and never had a problem until the last two months. We have had trouble with our toilet and bathroom and now we are still waiting for an email to fix our flooded bathroom.

Experiencia fantástica: Working with Amanda as a vendor with American Heritage has been great. Shes prompt on scheduling ahead with me and letting me know what work is coming up. If a problem ever arises she has been understanding and worked with me! Fast return on calls as well! Also super friendly!!

I had about a month to find a decent apartment, Mehgan helped me find the spot im in now and its been perfect! So easy, filled out an application was accepted and had a great new apartment within a week or two! It made the whole thing alot easier!!! I was having so much issues trying to find a place within the time we were given until I went with American heritage! Also anytime I have a mantinence issue they immediately attend to it! I've had no issues at all so far!

Sometimes you do run into delays when submitting work requests but a friendly call is all it has ever taken for me. The apartment is great and fits my needs exactly and has a great price to match. Only wish they had more pet friendly locations / options.

During Covid-19 we had a hiccup with finances and they assisted us with the completion of forms for government funding to help catch us up through the CARES ACT. We are very grateful for their professionalism through that. They also are very responsive to emergency calls and maintenance issues.

Moving into our apartment this past month was nearly hassle free and has been above and beyond better than the former company we rented from. Experiencia fantástica: After 10 years of trying to find my own tenants for my rental I decided to call Meghan at AHPM. After leaving a message she returned my call within 15 minutes. Other property management companies never returned my call. She met me at my property the next day to look at apartment. Even suggested I wasn't charging enough. Meghan was amazing and communicated every step of the way. She was able to fill the apartment faster than I expected. Her response time to emails and phone calls have been amazing. She even reviewed my lease and helped add some additional helpful information. I WILL CONTINUE to use Meghan to fill any vacant apartment that I have in the future.

Experiencia positiva: I have been renting from them for about 2 years. Maintenance can definitely do a better job! But my landlord who works at the Elizabethtown office has always been helpful, understanding and works with me. Which is what you look for in a landlord.

Most of these bad reviews are solely based from bad tenants that don't pay their bills. I have been renting from American Heritage for going on 4 years now and never had an issue. Communication is key. Pay your bills when they're due and don't cause issues and you won't have any problems.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible manager. Became property manager in August 2018. November 2018, the area had the first snow storm of the season. Residence didn't get blowed out until five days after first snowfall. Multiple tenants tried contacting Lindsey and there was no response. Later, it was explained that the snow removal company didn't get info on property to plow. Later in the winter, again delayed snow removal. Ice accumulated and it was explained that tenants were responsible for ice treatment and walkways to be cleared. For two years before this property management, there was never a problem with snow removal or ice treatment. Only one reason why I and others left the property.
