Experiencia negativa: I hired Lindsay Hart to sell my home a few years ago. Working with Lindsay was one of the worst experiences of my life. I found her to be extremely UNETHICAL and UNTRUSTWORTHY. There were a number of serious problems with her conduct but the most egregious was that she failed to disclose that she had a very close personal and professional relationship with the buyer. The buyer was a close personal friend AND a realtor on her Hart & Homes team. As mentioned, this was only one of the many problems that I encountered while working with Lindsay. Lindsay knows exactly what she did, and there is a mountain of evidence to back up these allegations against her. When buying or selling a home, there is nothing more important than working with an agent who prioritizes honesty and ethicality above all else, and that is not what I experienced with Lindsay Hart.

Last June, we drove to the Finger Lakes region from out of state in search of some investment properties. We ended up purchasing two properties for short-term vacation rentals and a lake home for ourselves. Before the trip, we contacted several area realtors, and we selected Lindsay over the others based on her sales record, her knowledge of the market, and our interactions with her during a Zoom session. She listened to us and immediately focused on our needs. She was the only realtor who took concrete steps to help us even before our conversation ended. We had concerns that if we selected a realtor who was the head of a team, we would spend our time working with an associate instead of the person we had chosen. Lindsay assured us that she would be the one to work with us, and she was true to her word. We spent several days working with her during an intense two-week period. She was extremely professional and fun to work with. She continued to work in the evenings and early mornings in search of new listings to show us. Our experience with Lindsay was great.

Experiencia positiva: Lindsay was very active and effective in listing and selling our small commercial property. She was usually responsive to inquiries and supportive during a variety of hiccups. The attorney she recommended to us did not turn out to be either responsive or active and seemed to create situations of delay or controversy with the buyers - but Lindsay was an excellent "diplomat" for us to move things forward. It was a pleasure to work with her.

Experiencia negativa: Aggressive and unethical marketing tactics including: sending lengthy letters to the address of an off-market home, somehow locating an unlisted cell phone number, texting a lengthy and unethical sales pitch to a current cell along with at least one old phone number, and attempting to steal a sale from another realtor by suggesting that thousands of dollars could be saved by utilizing Lindsay as the sole realtor for both buyer/seller. All of this despite the fact that Lindsay was well aware the house was already contracted with a realtor, and also aware that it was off market and had been for weeks. I am still in shock that a realtor would circumvent another realtor and agency after repeatedly being told realtor-to-realtor that a property is not currently for sale, and then aggressively and repeatedly attempting to go around the realtor & contact the owner directly to force their sales pitch. Completely unethical practices.

Experiencia negativa: Hands down worst experience! Really wish I had gone with another realtor. I was referred to her by a friend who had a similar experience. Very unprofessional. Lindsey does not communicate or educate you on what should and shouldn’t be done, or better yet what’s best for me! She’s just looking for her commission as quickly as possible. She made a lot of money from the sale of my property and she couldn’t even follow up with me after the sale. I felt like she was working with the buyers agent. Almost like she set up the sale before hand. I’ve found posts with the buyer thanking my realtor for helping with the transaction. Seems a little odd to me and pretty rude that you can communicate with the buyer of the property who you didn’t represent. But couldn’t follow up with me to at least say thanks for your business.

I had been contemplating selling for years but never had the courage until she announced her new title with Hart & Home. Then she put my house on the market and I had great communication from her during the whole process! I don’t live in the state. Unfortunately the renters did a job on my house but she did a remarkable job selling it! She even found someone to winterize it for me. I highly recommend Lindsay if your looking to sell or buy a house!

Experiencia positiva: Initial experience with Lindsay was great; she was professional, helpful and understood Tompkins/Seneca real estate market. The property for sale was in excellent condition and went under contract quickly. The reason why I only gave 4 stars is because I expected better follow through on the post contract signing portion of the transaction. I was disappointed that she wasn't present during the final walk through prior to closing and assistance with communication during closing process was lacking.
