Experiencia fantástica: I relocated to the area from out of state. After having an issue with a different property management company, I met up with Holly at Marsh Property Management. Not only did she help me out after I had driven long distance to the area only to get ghosted by a different rental last minute, but she took the time to talk to me and find out my unique needs prior to matching me with the PERFECT rental for my family (including pets). From the start of the process to the finish everything was explained, transparent, upfront, professional and friendly. The apartment was professionally cleaned; I have never had the fortune to move into an apartment that didn't need at least some cleaning prior to putting my stuff in it so that was a first. Great care was taken to get into all the nooks and crannies and so all I needed to do was unpack. The portal is convenient and all requests and questions are answered in a timely manner including service requests. Thank you Holly and thank you Marsh Property Management. If you are moving long distance or short, do not hesitate to reach out to this company - they are reliable and will match you with a rental that meets your needs. I cannot stress how important that is especially if you are moving from a long distance.

I have never, ever gotten a trouble tenant. Do I get model tenants? Yes. All of them. If you research any bad reviews for Marsh Properties, you will find applicants rejected for their own questionable behavior / or financial ability, (or in a few cases, outright lies!) and Marsh Properties will not put their landlords in questionable or potentially troublesome situations.

Experiencia negativa: Renter beware ! 3/24/2026 3 pm I looked at a house in old town to rent i was in a bit of a tight spot i needed something asap . It looked good my only concern was the 2 very narrow staircases that lead up to the snd floor (old house) how was i going to get furniture up to the second floor ? I agreed to move forward he said they would call for deposit and details on docu sign lease . 6pm made payment $2035.00 . Signed lease . That night I thought about how much of a nightmare it was going to be getting 3 rooms of furniture up to the second floor so I decided to cancel 336 am sent an email explaining everything and apologizing for wasting time ...fast forward 3pm the following day Marie from the office emails and says they've been busy all morning sorry for the delay but your $2035.00 deposit is non refundable so if you choose to pass thats ok but no deposit refunded this was all done in less then 24 hours never gave security deposit or got keys aside from the walk thru that was the only time in the place is this legal? I will be seeking legal advice !

Experiencia negativa: I was recently denied a rental. I have contacted marsh properties 3 to 4 times with no response as to why I was denied. By law, they need to give me a reason and they’re not. I gave them a one star and I believe that is too much!

Experiencia fantástica: I rented with them for about two years and didn’t have any major issues. Overall, it was a decent experience. The apartment was acceptable at move-in, but I definitely had to do my own cleaning before getting settled—nothing extreme, just not a deep clean. Maintenance requests were handled in a reasonable timeframe, and they also took care of a few maintenance items that were missed during the month I moved in. I didn’t need maintenance often. I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in and received my full security deposit back without any issues.

They take care of their units or mobile homes. Does repairs when needed. They also work with you when things need to be fixed. They are by far the best landlords I have ever had. I would recommend that you use rent Bangor for all of your needs. From rentals to buying a piece of property. The office staff and the owners are great and honest. Experiencia negativa: My wife and I had to move to Bangor and we weren't sure how long we would live there. We decided to rent and put down a deposit on a place managed by Marsh. Two days later the agent called us up and told us they were demanding twice the initial deposit after we had already signed paperwork. We declined and requested our deposit back. The agent refused and claimed that the deposit was not refundable. I explained that was not how deposits work and that taking money without providing anything in return is commonly referred to as theft. Cut to the end; I had to go their "office" with my cell phone recording them, yell at people and threaten to call the police. This all happened infront of other potential clients. By "office" I mean the saddest excuse for a workplace I have ever seen. A half dozen people in biz casual trying to take themselves seriously while they conducted business in their bosses garage. Watch yourself with these people. Marsh Properties has less integrity than a back alley Sally. Edit in response to the Owner of Marsh Realty --------------------------- It's the same picture on the website of the owners now as it was then. I could provide color commentary as to your appearance but I will keep that myself. This is an accurate review of your business. You seem confused about the facts. My post makes no mention of actually calling the police. I never called the police, I threatened to call the police and your people gave me my money back. Your reading comprehension skills could use some work. A simple look up of your business's public records shows that it was formerly run out of your home garage. That has since changed. Clearly your ethics have not.

Experiencia fantástica: As somebody who has worked for property management companies in the past, I really can't say enough about how wonderfully Rent Bangor approaches property management. I'm always spoken to like a person first, I don't dread interactions with my landlord, they've been tremendously generous with utility coverage, on-time discounts (I don't know if they offer this at every property but they do at mine!), and flexibility in addressing my needs or concerns. Any time I have a question or concern it's answered within a business day, in a manner that is respectful even when my question or concern feels silly. The owner is very hands on and knows the property I live at well enough to answer questions on the fly. When we had a terrible storm, I noticed some damage to the apartments roof from wind and flying debris, and he was out the very next day, on Christmas Eve, to document the damage. I've worked in this industry before, and I've seen some very shady business practices. I know the "tricks" some landlords use, and Rent Bangor doesn't use any of them. Just compassionate human beings renting clean and affordable apartments. Even with the economy the way it is right now, the increase to my rent was more than reasonable, WAY less than I was expecting and was clearly communicated and explained! The increase was about 2.2% and I was expecting to pay at least 5%, if not 10% with the current rental market in Bangor and the rising cost of utilities that are covered under my rent. If you pay your rent on time, communicate your needs and concerns, and are respectful to your neighbors, I don't think you'll have any issues. I had originally decided to lease here after hearing their contractors and vendors say positive things about how they take care of their properties, and I'm so glad I did!

Experiencia negativa: I rented from marsh properties for 2 years. Mold grew in apartment and then they evicted me. Did did not put me in another. My belongings were damaged and didn't replace. It's there building and should be responsible. Mold came because of how the apartment was built.

Communication was always clear and Kurtis was immediately responsive when we had a heating issue last October, on a Sunday evening no less. Cannot reccomend Marsh highly enough.

Experiencia negativa: I am in a desperate situation in which I have been trying since March to flee from an abusive household. I am a disabled person. I struggle with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and I am in an unsafe environment. I have been encouraged multiple times by my case manager to reach out to this Property Management company for apartments that could certainly work to help me with my current situation as I can get rental assistance immediately to help me out, my credit score is good, I do not smoke, I do not drink, I am a quiet individual, no criminal record to speak of, and I just want to pick myself up and succeed at life. I have applied to apartments through this company 4-5 separate times, and usually I hear absolutely nothing back and when I try to check again, the property isn't listed anymore. The most recent time, I called the office, spoke to someone who told me to fill out an application and that, if I filled it out reasonably quickly, I could get in for a showing that afternoon. I filled out an application quick as I could that day. Did not get a response. Contacted my case manager to see if she could get the office to call me back. No response. This is the third day of no response. I check the website and the apartment was taken off the market immediately. I'm in an extremely desperate situation and I feel like, even though I have the means to pay rent on every apartment I have applied for, that I am being discriminated against because I have to rely on rental assistance to make ends meet.

I backed out less than 24 hours later without even seeing a lease or paying security deposit, and Angela said she would get right back to me. Instead they cashed my check and ignored my calls for more than a week and a half now. Stay far away from their business. Edit: There was no such warning given to me. I've confirmed with real estate agents this Management company has a bad reputation. I will be following up with the better business bureau.

Experiencia fantástica: I moved to Bangor from out of state last autumn, and Kurtis and his staff were extremely helpful in educating me about the Bangor area and assisting me in finding the right rental property for my needs. When I arrived they were very welcoming and accommodating. As might be expected with new construction, there were a few (very minor) tweaks needed on my new home, and it was easy to place a maintenance request and get service right away. Kurtis himself even came out to make sure everything was done properly. It's evident that they genuinely care about the quality of their work and the experience of their customers, and I'm very happy I made the decision to do business with them.

Being a mother you always worry about your children even when they have developed and grown into young adults. My daughter has been working with Marsh Property in securing her first ever apartment and being out of state this has been a stress and worry on my end. Each and every individual we have encounter there have been super supportive, encouraging and even above and beyond customer friendly. They have taken my daughter and made her feel welcome explained things been up front honest and real with her about life and renting. Kurtis went above necessary to ensure the perfect fit for the perfect apartment for my daughter. He communicated with her at different hours to ensure that it was in her scheduled time and not you’re standard 8-5 Monday through Friday setting. He used his personal time to answer questions and even be blunt with her about rental laws and having roommates, while still giving the benefit of doubt to it being my daughters choice in weather to heed his advice or not. Angela was fantastic with her appointment with my daughter even allowing me to be on face time while she explained the entire lease to my daughter. She was very professional and detailed in the laws for both tenant and landlord. She reached out to me before hand to ensure I was aware of my role in being a co-signer answering questions and even complimented my daughter while on the phone providing me with a warmth of ease in the company and their standpoint. She explained the steps that would have to occur in order to secure and rent the apartment. She explained all of this to my daughter as well and answered her questions. Very friendly, kind hearted and warm supportive employee she was amazing it has left me speechless and impressed. I myself have never had such a ease of renting experience as this woman provided for my daughter taking the scary things of this big step in life turning it into a wonderful step in my daughter’s life. Lordina was very detailed in her assistance and the breaking down the rent explaining the payment policies and due dates. As well as the outcome of negative affect on the company landlord and tenant if not followed. She took the time to reach out to me about securing the funds in a timely manner to hold the apartment along with coordinating with other parties to ensure everyone was on the same page. Extremely organized and friendly towards my daughter and this new phase of life. To top it off today I received an email with a copy of the lease and the information that the check had arrived in the mail. Marcia provided me with the information in less than 24 hours very fast and on point. She has encouraged me to reach out with any concerns and was very respectful of my time providing me with that feeling of security my daughter is in very good hands. Without sounding cheesy I want to thank Marsh Property Management for making my daughter a part of your family. For being so gentle with a nervous young adult yet not treating her as such. You worked with her, instructed her, and was a pseudo mom and dad for this young woman whom has choose Maine as her home and new start in this vast complicated sometimes harsh world. You have made this Experience for her and this nail biting stressed mom so wonderful, educational and inspiring I just cannot find the words to express how grateful I am to you all for taking care of my baby girl. Experiencia negativa: Horrible from the “get-go”, so to speak. Rented the flea-ridden apartment, with problems in both the kitchen and bathroom leaks from the 2nd floor bathroom. They decided to screw me. Leaving the apartment much better than I received it, they sent me a check for $177 (for a full painting after less than 2 years?) of my $800 security deposit. As Trump would say, SAD. Steer clear.

The online portal for paying rent and requesting maintenance was also super convenient and easy to use. We left the home in good condition, and they returned our full security deposit promptly. If we hadn't moved over a thousand miles away, we definitely would have stayed on as Marsh tenants.

Experiencia negativa: The lady that I tried to get to help me in the office was rude and behaved as tho she was better than most. I thought the whole idea if these rental management places was to help folks..even after supplying them with impeciable co - sign credit and more than enough proof of ability to pay i was asked to pay a years rent up front...left there feeling like crying.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience renting from Kurtis/Rentbangor was one of the best I have experienced. I had only one minor problem while living there and they had a maintenance man there the same day to solve the issue. My apartment was in excellent condition and comfortable to live in. It was certainly a great location and very accessible to all of Bangor.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience from start to finish was very positive with Kurtis and his staff. I moved to my unit more than two years ago. Once I signed my lease, I was able to move in to my unit on time. It was clean and move in ready. I appreciated the screening process and felt very safe in the Meadow Ridge Drive community. Kurtis' staff kept the community grounds well groomed. Phone calls were responded to in a timely manner. When I gave notice, I vacated and was contacted in a timely manner about receiving my security deposit refund. Kurtis was always very courteous and professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend this management company if you are looking for a safe, affordable and high end rental unit.

Experiencia negativa: My family was all ready to begin renting a home through Marsh Property Management, we had met with one of the realtors who showed us the home. We notified that we were interested and they said they will call back after the background check to let us know their decision. After multiple e-mails and calls sent to the realtor, there was absolutely NO word back from them. A true professional would call the client back to let them know of their decision, not simply ignore them. Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism.
