Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I have bought and sold 6 houses that we have lived in, and 5 other various investment properties in the past 15 years. Over the years we have met many realtors and Tim is one of our favorites. He is very professional and knowledgeable, but his best quality he listens. Tim gives his full attention to the customer he is with. During our visits looking at houses Tim gave us all of his attention and even ignored his phone. This was less exciting when I was the one calling, but he was always good to call me back. The last house he helped us purchase was a HUD home 30 minutes out of town, with a purchase price of only $15,000. Even though there was very little commission to be made, Tim drove many miles and worked very hard to navigate the HUD purchasing process, which is very different from a normal sale. We plan to use him in the future to buy and sell properties.

Experiencia fantástica: Tim is an excellent realtor to have when looking to buy a home. Tim was very accommodating when it came to helping us find our home, we had very specific criteria (location was top priority since we didn’t want to live in certain cities like Minot, Stanley, Williston, or Watford City)on the home we were looking for and he went out of his way to find us that home even if it was an hour and a half away from Minot. Tim was excellent at answering all of our questions, showing us homes that met our criteria, and helping us through the entire process. Tim helped us negotiate the purchase offer and walked us through everything after our offer was accepted up until all the paperwork was signed at closing. We will be calling Tim again when want to sell our home and buy a home/land out in the country.

Experiencia negativa: When you hire a realtor, you expect thetm to do their work in the best interest of their client. That is not souch the case with Tim Knutson. During intitial meeting with him he was polite, paid for dinner for myself and my wife. Told is about selling our house and how the process typically goes, sounded promising. He is in Minot, ND and our house is a 50 miles drive out of Minot. My wife found a buyer for our house on Facebook. And tried to contact Tim. Suddenly the nice guy and how helpful he said he was going to be fell through. He couldn't show the house and my wife basically set up everything to show the house through another realtor . At this point I told Tim I wanted to switch to a local realtor that can meet our needs and wanted him to send me the paperwork to dismiss him as our realtor. Him, sensing that a potential buyer was going to be looking at my house, didn't send any paperwork to sign him off .The person that looked at our house wanted to put in an offer . Since he wouldn't send me the paperwork to release him he got in with a potential 18,000 dollar commission check when they made an offer, for basically not doing anything . Then the offer came in with the buyers using a VA loan. Tim either was completely uneducated or simply lied to us on a few things regarding VA loans .the offer wanted us to pay the closing costs and Tim told us that VA loans require that the seller pay the closing costs. Being a supposed licensed realtor I thought he was stating facts, but after the offer was signed, and we got further along in the process I find out from an actual bank that information was false and the closing costs could have been negotiated. Looking back, Tim was trying to keep me uninformed so I would just sign and put the sale through as fast as possible without asking questions, all so he could get his big commission check without doing any of the foot work. Tim has no interest in keeping the interests of his clients a priority. In the end we decided not to sell our house, for personal reasons along with the fact that this guy was about to screw us out of 18,000 and 9,000 on his commission and closing costs that could have been negotiated. If you want a realtor whose priority is to sell a house and keep the seller as uninformed as possible, this guy is for you. Obviously ignoring phone calls, not being available, and doing the minimal work to get his commission check is what you get with Tim Knutson.
