Negative experience: Generally, I do not review on the internet, but I would like to save some home buyers here. This is a scam of the highest level in Naperville! Initially Max & Shallow team were good in building relationship, trust so that you can buy property through him. But after signing the contract with the buyer, he never showed up in negotiations, repairs, floor damage, other property issues and pushed back me that the seller will withdraw the deal anytime. He never showed up, like seeing the house before the final closing. Even not on the day of final closure. I have to deal with the night mare of dealing with various people and solving my own challenges with the seller and his agent. The Seller agent started asking me, where is your agent and why he is not even showing on the closure day. Reason: Real issue was where his guidance failed as an agent when the buyer was overpaying for the property. Now the buyer is trapped with huge premium. In this case, agent must guide the buyer to recover his overpaid premium. But he was worried about maintaining his reputation in the community by scarifying the buyer’s interest. He has EGO issues and since I had asked for the credit multiple times, he left me alone to face the challenges. Agents are nobody’s friend only they care about their commission by throwing the buyer into conundrum Real Estate Commission should cancel his license who just work for his commission and ego but not for his buyer. Please contact me who wanted to know these things in detail, definitely I would like to save buyers hard earned money and misery of dealing with Shallow Team!

Fantastic experience: Max helped me with several real estate transactions. As many who have bought or sold homes can say, it's a big deal. A home can be a persons largest purchase of their lifetime. It's financial but can also be very emotional. I see a realtor as providing market and negotiation expertise as well as dealing with the softer issues which often come into play. Fantastic experience: We worked with David and his team back in 2015. Exceptional. There's a lot that could be said, so I'll stick to 2 key aspects: He's a one stop shop. What I mean by that, is when you're working with him, you have all elements of what you need to buy a house locked in. There are many elements (had never bought a house) and you need to bring in a bunch of professions to navigate them. What's more, you need to make sure they are top shelf. David already has that set up, if you need it, via the various connections he's made over the years, relationships he's fostered and nurtured, and vetting he's done as part of all that. Attorney? Check. Broker? Check. Inspector? Check. Repair person? Check. Anything else, such as Radon specialist? Check. Check. Check! Also, he makes the process quite fun and is extremely knowledgeable. Knows the neighborhoods, the housing structures, what the value is and should be for each, etc, etc. Chances are, which is very helpful, he has a good, strong relationship with any other agent, or other profession involved, regarding the property you are considering. This comes in tremendously helpful when negotiating, trying to get consideration, etc. Can't say enough good things about this team!

Fantastic experience: I’m not always one to take the time to write a testimonial, but in this case, I’ll make an exception. I’ve known Dave Shallow for roughly a dozen years. My wife Noreen and Dave were classmates in elementary school, and reconnected through Facebook. When it came time to sell our house in Aurora and move to Naperville, Noreen suggested that we list with The Shallow Team. I’ve only worked with a realtor once before, when selling my townhouse in Naperville. As I was thoroughly underwhelmed with my realtor, I had no objections. Dave and Max are tireless promoters, and will go to the ends of the earth for their clients. If you want want the best combination of service and integrity, look no further. Fantastic experience: I can not rave enough about Max Shallow! This man went above and beyond x10. We had so many issues selling our condo. Not to mention looking at like 100+ homes over a 9 month period. We put in 11 bids and lost 9!! He would text me first thing in the morning and be talking with us til 9pm. We felt like we were his only clients! Not to mention Max is SO knowledgable on inspection issues and repair costs. Fantastic experience: We purchased our first home with The Shallow Team during a pandemic when all houses get like seven offers the second they hit the market. Because they are prompt, professional, & explain things to newbies like my husband and I we didn't have some kind of hunger games to get our home in 2021. First home we put an offer in because we LOVED we got, and this is really because David found a house he knew we liked and got us in RIGHT AWAY so we could be one of the first to put in an offer. Plus we strategically put our number in under the direction of David so it would be most appealing to the owners.
