Fantastic experience: Prior to listing my house I noticed Venky's signs all over the neighborhood. When it came time to sell he was my first call. After meeting with him and reviewing his plan, he was my only call. Venky and his team are communicative throughout the process. Multiple offers the first day. Needless to say if you want to sell your house, in my opinion there is only one agent in the Peoria area to use.

Fantastic experience: We recently sold our home through a corporate relocation process, and Venky Basam was, without question, the best listing agent I have worked with. This was the fifth home I have sold through relocation, so I have a strong basis for comparison, and he stood out in every way. What makes this even more meaningful is that I had been watching Venky’s work for about two years before we were even notified that we would be relocating. My husband’s job moves us every 3–5 years, and after seeing the way he marketed and sold homes, I told my husband well in advance that if we ever had to move again, I wanted Venky to be our selling-side realtor. Then, by coincidence, just a few months before we got our relocation notice, he became the listing agent for the two homes next to ours. Watching how quickly and effectively he sold those homes only confirmed what I already believed. Because our relocation company requires us to choose from an approved list of agents and interview two of them, I actually had to make a special request to get Venky approved and added to the list, since he was not originally included. After going through the required interview process, he absolutely did not disappoint. His approach was methodical, thoughtful, organized, and clearly backed by a well-developed plan. He was prepared, strategic, and impressive from the start. Once we officially chose him, his team was just as strong. They were prompt in setting up communication, highly organized, and came to us with a complete plan of action. They also provided an impressive list of tools, resources, and professional contacts to help support the sale of our home, including access to a staging professional. I did not personally need that service because staging and preparing homes for sale is one of my strengths after doing this multiple times, but for the average seller, that is an incredibly valuable resource — and one I have never been offered by any previous listing agent. He has clearly put a tremendous amount of thought and analysis into how to sell a home quickly and for the highest value possible. I was already confident in him before we ever listed, but throughout the process I continued to be impressed by how much attention he gave to both our needs and our home. His integrity, sincerity, and professionalism are exceptional, and those qualities are imperative when you are trusting someone with what is often your largest financial investment. His marketing was outstanding. He generated interest in our home before it officially hit the market, used social media and online marketing very effectively, and combined that with strong on-the-ground promotion. The photography he arranged was excellent, and the photographer he provided was also wonderful to work with. The result was exactly the kind of momentum a seller hopes for: we had people trying to see the home before it was even officially active, and the open house drew immediate and serious interest. The outcome speaks for itself. We held showings for only two days. On the day of the open house, we received two offers at and above asking price. On the second day, we had two more showings and received two additional offers. In total, we had four offers in just two days and accepted one on the second day for slightly over asking.
