Fantastic experience: I can’t imagine a better Real Estate Agent than Daniel Ripper. (And credit to Rocio Gonzalez and others at Compass Realty, who also helped.) I guess you could call me both a reluctant seller and a picky buyer. I loved my old home of 45 years: so conveniently located, so my style. But as I aged, it became more and more obvious that another place, with fewer entrance stairs and less yard maintenance would be best for me. I was nervous, asked SO many questions, and Daniel always got back with the answers to me, patient through months of searching; and always helping to find solutions to the difficulties I worried about. Now in my condo, which met my list of “must haves”, life is good.

Fantastic experience: Daniel went out of his way to assist this absentee landlord in selling my Rental house, which required a lot of work. I had 3 reantal houses I bought in 1975, 76, 77. I am a retired Berkeley Fire Fighter and decided to move to Sparks, Nv. to be near relatives and escape Ca. income taxes. Trying to maintain 3 Rental house 200 miles away was not working out well for me, so I decided to sell them and do 1031 exchanges for 3 Rental house near where I now live. The Richmond houses were old Redwood siding with asphalt shingle roofs, I decided to put vinyl siding on all 3 to improve their appearance (wish I had done this 20 years ago). We winter in Az. and we were there when the guy did the vinyl siding, Saniel kept checking on him and then supervised him when he replaced a window , removed paneling and painted one of the rentals getting it ready to sell. That one sold first at $140k over asking price in 2 days, the second one the tenants left very dirty and loaded with Cockroaches, i was back in Sparks by this time and went down and (with the help of some VERY nice neighbors, fixed it up and it sold in aobut 2 months. The 3rd one we got on the market too late and teh market turned so we ended up re-renting it for 18 months and then relisted it. NOw that the interest rates had gone up dramatically, although it was the largest and nicest of the 3, it took a few months before it sold. And sold for much less than the first house and we had to jump through some FHA Hoops to get the deal done. Daniel did a good job and I am a pretty tough negotiator. In the end to get the numbers to work,he cut his commission and I had to give the buyer a kickback towards their closing costs. Overall, I am happy, mainly to be totally out of Richmond! But I paid under $100k for the 3 houses back in the 1970's and solt them for around $2mil.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Ripper became my agent in December 2023. My home was sold in less than 2 months. I got the full amount of the price I asked for my home. Dan was available by text/email or phone almost any time, which made the process a whole lot easier. When I was unable to remove items from a close to allow an inspector to have access to the crawl space, Dan came and removed them and then came and put them back. I researched reviews on Internet sites before choosing a realtor, and then had multiple phone interviews. Daniel was knowledgeable, personable, and best answered my questions. I Inherited a house with two brothers, and we didn't always see eye to eye! Even though we weren't ready to put our house on the market, Daniel provided his knowledge and expertise freely.
