Fantastic experience: Selling our mountain house while living in Denver could have been challenging, but Michael and his team made the entire process easy. He was invaluable in coordinating the projects we needed to complete before listing and had trusted contacts for everything we needed. His local knowledge and network are second to none—he's one of the most well-connected people in Summit County when it comes to buying and selling real estate. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Negative experience: I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Michael Healy was so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn other buyers to steer clear of Apres Shores or other developments listed by him. At the open house, Michael's colleague Kyrie discussed pricing with me and specifically asked for my realtor's name to write down. Later, I got an email from Michael saying that the price was $625K. When I called him to get more information, I was told that the pricing we had discussed would only be available if I came without my realtor (a pressure tactic by him to avoid paying the buyer's agent fee). Although I was surprised by that condition, especially since the relator had been discussed during my initial interaction and his email did not say his price was without a realtor, I indicated that I was willing to proceed directly and was told I had three days to make a decision on this "'premarket price" and that the price would be honored during that time. Less than 24 hours later, as I was still deciding on whether to make an offer, I was SHOCKED to see that the asking price had suddenly increased by $25,000 to a "market" price. Instead of honoring the price that had been discussed, I was presented with a "$25,000 incentive" structure. So, he raised the price by $25K and then said I would get a $25K incentive back. From my perspective, this really looked like a way to report a higher sale price. The result for a buyer is potentially higher transaction costs, taxes, fees, and other expenses tied to the purchase price whereas for the seller, it makes the property look like it closed at a higher price, so that drives up "comps" on his property for other units he plans on listing in that complex. The entire situation felt like a bait-and-switch with sneaky maneuvers throughout to inflate the price of the property. To make matters worse, Michael later sent me an email containing financial calculations that were incorrect. If you're asking buyers to make a six-figure investment decision under a compressed timeline, the least you can do is provide accurate numbers. What bothered me most was his lack of consistency and transparency. The terms changed almost immediately. The pricing changed overnight. The explanations didn't add up. The math didn't add up. And throughout the process, I felt pressured to make a quick decision while the goalposts kept moving. Buying mountain property is stressful enough without having to wonder whether the information you're receiving today will still be true tomorrow. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering one of Michael Healy's listings to walk away if you can because the process with him is not at all transparent or consistent. And if you decide to proceed, scrutinize every detail, independently verify every financial representation, and get every promise in writing because his "word" on the phone really means nothing. I have bought several properties in my life and this was one of the least professional real estate interactions I have experienced, and I walked away feeling that transparency and fair dealing were not priorities in this transaction. I would not buy a property listed by this agent again and would advise other buyers to proceed with extreme caution.

Fantastic experience: Michael and Kyrie are an absolute top-notch dream team. They were able to assist me with selling a property in Copper, while I live in Denver and was on vacation out of the state while under contract. They kept me updated consistently throughout the transaction and were always available when I had any questions. They also met with several contractors at the property to get everything repaired that the buyer requested. Fantastic experience: We recently purchased a condo in Summit County, CO. Michael, Erin & Kyrie were fantastic to work with. What started as a random email about a property Michael had listed, turned into a 45 minute phone conversation about what we were looking for, the current market conditions and answers to a lot of questions about the area. Fantastic experience: Mike sold my condo; he was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The presentation of the property highlighted its attributes and allowed buyers to see pictures and take the 3-d tour. His local knowledge was extensive and from what I see quite accurate when it came to pricing to sell at a real market price. During the closing process he communicated well with me and the seller's agent. As issues came up, he solved them and kept the deal moving to a successful close, on time.
