Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Synergy

Negative experience: This review is for the Better Homes and Gardens Synergy/property management division. Our realtor was Stephen-Harold. I can say that from the start he was a problem for us and looking back on it we should have just fired him from the beginning. Actually now that I think about it, we did try to fire him and he said we would owe him money for photography and listing costs. It took him almost 3 months to rent our home which was built in 2019.. Basically a brand new home. During this time he was telling us we needed to build a fence and do a bunch of other things that we did not really want to do, he was beyond obnoxious with how many times he made these requests and did not respect anything we said, he just kept going about what he wanted for the property. The home is located right in front of a preserve in Palm Coast. According to my mother, she said he owns several properties himself and she felt he may have focused on renting his own properties instead of our - not sure whether it is true or not but we have been renting the home since it was built in 2019 and we never had any problems renting it out in 2-3 weeks. After someone moved in, they had a medical emergency and needed to move out right away. He asked if the lease could be broken due to the emergency and that he was in contact with the clients son. We said yes but only if the property was left in top shape to rent out immediately. Of course, Stephen never went over there to check on the property. It was left in complete disarray. The closet door was broken, 2 pair of blinds broken, the front door molding was EATEN off by the mans dog, there was urine in the home, the kitchen; dirty, bathrooms - blood, urine and feces were found on the floor. The same closet door had most of the paint scratched off by the dog. The disposal didn't work. He even had my mother buy a air conditioning unit for this tenant. The house is 6 years old! there is a warranty for everything and he never mentioned anything to her. He constantly tried to force work orders on things and claimed he knew people to fix things. I believe that he just wanted the work for his handymen to look good in their eyes and that he had work for them. IT IS MY OPINION that Stephen is AWFUL. THAT THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL. He still had the nerve to take the last 10% he was owed for the month even though HE NEGLECTED TO DO HIS JOB.

Fantastic experience: I recently sold a home with the assistance of Lisa Dunbar. I was referred to Lisa as the real estate agent that "will work tirelessly to sell your home". Wow-she is that and so much more. Lisa is present every step of the process. She is thorough, she takes time to make sure you understand the process, and she listens to you as she moves things forward. Lisa is an excellent communicator, always accessible for questions/concerns as well as providing weekly updates. I would highly recommend Lisa Dunbar.

She was very professional and responsive to our questions and concerns. She mentioned she had clients who would be in town the next day and wondered if she could show our home. Fantastic experience: In 2018 I met Jim Sheehan and it was the best thing that ever happened. I was looking at homes in Palm Coast Florida when I decided to call Jim for help. We viewed several properties then there was one that seemed to be perfect. Jim made arrangements with the seller and FaceTimed me and I immediately said that’s the one.
