Fantastic experience: I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in the salon chair getting my hair relaxed and trimmed by Ericia Harris. We somehow got on the subject of homeownership. She asked me why didn’t I have a house. I told her I didn’t know I could get one. She asked me my salary and credit score. She said girl if you don’t get you and your son a house . Needless to say, she was there every step of the way. She referred me to a realtor and went house shopping with me on multiple occasions. The biggest moment in the process was when I was down to my last 3 houses that were available. I was having trouble deciding. You see the house I ended up buying was the first one that was shown to me. It was a new construction and not finished when I first looked at it. Ericia met me at the house and we both went from my current home to the house across the street and the house next door weighing options. Finally she led me to my now backyard and we prayed for a sign from God. As we prayed birds began to land in the yard. The longer we prayed the more birds landed. Then I said internally God I think this is it. The more I leaned towards a yes, the more birds flew away one by one until I finally said it out loud and the last bird left. Fast forward to the day of closing. She was out of town. When I tell you she was there in spirit. I mean I think she was on speaker phone so she wouldn’t miss a thing. Once it was done, she cried for me. I didn’t even cry and it was my house. Lol The point is. Her passion for real estate is that deep. She was doing this long before becoming a realtor. My story is only 7 years old. She started helping people find homes 20 years ago.
