Fantastic experience: Mariama was a joy to work with when we were selling our condo. She gave us a lot of information on the area and how the current market was trending. She made suggestions on what we should look at updating in the condo to make it more market ready. She staged and had great pictures taken of the place. I loved it so much I almost wanted to move back in! :) She gave us great advice on what offers to write counteroffers to and how to write the counteroffers. We sold our property within the first two weeks of it being on the market. Really she gave us a lot of peace of mind and I can't imagine going through the process without her. It's been a long minute since I've done it so it wasn't easy explaining the whole process to him. I figure we should get a professional and go from there. He took the lead on the whole process. He wanted someone who's from the general area because it just means whoever it is is familiar with the area. He found Mariama on Yelp. When we met her, it reminded him that they've crossed paths before: back when he was looking to buy. (He might have looked at a property she was showcasing.) Way to break the ice, eh? She was the first agent that came up, and first to respond to my message. I scheduled a meeting with Mariama to find out a little more about her business and what to expect if I did choose to list with her. At our first appointment, she was punctual and prepared. I had to take an unexpected business call when she arrived and she took the time to walk around my house while I was temporarily preoccupied on the call. Because of this and her strong negotiating skills we had our offer accepted and entered into escrow. She continuously advised us on how best to protect our interests throughout the whole process. She was patient with us as we requested many different inspections on the home and reassured us whenever issues arose. With her help we were able to close in 25 days. Her services did not end at the time that escrow closed. Since the time that we became the owners in early September of 2020 she has provided us with many resource recommendations as new homeowners. She has SO MANY connections in every industry related to a home purchase. It's crazy. She found us a home BEFORE it hit the market, communicated with the listing agent who she was familiar with, suggested an offer price which we agreed on, and got our offer accepted within 24 hours. We couldn't believe it. After having our offer accepted, I started to panic. As a first time home buyer, there's so many things to think about, so many things to consider. She organized communication between everyone and made sure that we were constantly on track for an 18 day close.
