Negative experience: They rejected us due to my partner having a thin credit profile. We make 3+ times the rent of the place we saw. They let us apply knowing that my partner didnt have the required credit score(Thin credit profile, not bad not good just not there). Shady. Very shady. So now we're out $100. Their professional behavior was very professional, but their ethics are very questionable.

Fantastic experience: Paul came out to my apartment a couple of times to do some repairs . He always was on time ,very polite and respectful and did a great job.

Negative experience: PMI recently acquired Moxie Management. I will add my review of Moxie under this since most of Moxie's staff transferred to PMI. Moxie was in the process of attempting an eviction because the landlord didn't like the fact that we went to the health department with some legitimate complaints in regards to repairs and such that were declined by the landlord. We made sure to let PMI know this was a retaliation case and provided evidence. They still proceeded with the eviction and lost. There has been zero communication with PMI since. All complaints have still not been addressed. According to these comments I have read, they love the landlords and investors because that's where they get their money. Stay weary if you are a tenant. You do not matter to them. ☆☆☆☆Moxie Review☆☆☆☆ Update: PMI southeast purchased Moxie, went ahead with an eviction and lost. Backstory: when we moved into our apartment, we paid $1050 because it was not in the best shape. The bedroom doors upstairs broken, closet doors unattached, cracks in the tile, holes in the ceiling and wall my fiancee patched up, broken blinds, stains and cracks on the walls and floors, ets We cleaned and fixed what we could without breaking the bank, as part of the deal for getting it cheaper was we rented it "as is". Landlord sold the building to new guy. After a couple years, new guy hires moxie management. Now, we can talk about Moxie. We have already paid a non-refundable pet screening fee ($250) with the original landlord. Since Moxie stepped in, they want us to pay ANOTHER pet screening fee ($30/pet). They require a bogus resident benefits package, which holds absolutely no value to us considering we pay rental insurance yearly, not monthly. When stating that we don't need that they said it is required for their people to verify we have insurance every month. Well, we can give the proof once a year. There is no need to check every month when it is paid in full, therefore it is truly a junk fee to just collect more money from rentors. The junk fees have to go. Disabled people, especially veterans, should be exempt from their scams. The rent is being increased again to make it comparable to other apartments in the area, however as stated in the backstory, one could imagine our unit is in fact NOT comparable to others in the area.

Fantastic experience: This was a magnificent house! We were 6 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room. The kids room with those extra large bunk beds were great for two kids each. The open floor plan and kitchen area are fabulous. The place was spotless and and so comfortable. We are planning to use it again in the summer when we can use the pool. Although we did use the hottub in the snow and that was a treat.

Fantastic experience: I turned over the management of one of my investment properties to PMI East Lyme, and the experience has been outstanding. Jason and Ed are detail-oriented, highly responsive, and clearly take pride in how they manage properties. Their tenant screening process is thorough and professional, and the quality of renters they place reflects that. Communication has been clear and proactive, and it’s obvious they manage properties as if they were their own. I’ve been so pleased with their work that I’ll be turning over another property to them shortly. As a long-term investor, it’s refreshing to find a strong local management team that delivers high-quality service at reasonable rates. If you give PMI East Lyme the opportunity, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: PMI East Lyme is friendly company and take care of financial concerns helps to take care of tenant and owner landlord and bring them to the point where both can be agreed according their needs Lisa and Jason and the rest of the team members are the best. Hopefully I buy big house in the future to register that with PMI East Lyme for the lease.

Negative experience: If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I’ve never left a review before in my life but I feel like I should at least warn others about these scam artists and potentially save you a few hundred bucks in application fees. Nobody will answer the phone in their office ever. You can call in the middle of the day on a week day and they’ll ignore you. Called 15 times and got a person 1 time who was completely unhelpful. Took my money for the application fees with no issues though. When asked for an explanation as to why I wasn’t selected I was told that it “wasn’t their problem” and hung up on. Absolute SCAM.

Fantastic experience: I used PMI East Lyme for a work rental property. My Rental agent was Ed Siciliano and he was great! He was very helpful and very outgoing. He responded in a timely matter whenever I had a question or needed something. He even gave me his personal cell just incase I need something after business hours. I highly recommend using their services when looking for a rental property. I will be reaching out to Mr. Ed Siciliano for all my future rentals when I'm in the area. Negative experience: If I could rate PMI with zero stars, I would. This company is a complete disaster, and I have nothing positive to say about my experience with them. Everything was fine until our landlord hired PMI to manage his property, at which point things took a turn for the worse. Despite paying extra for their supposed "benefit package," not a single service promised was ever provided. For example, the yard would quickly become overgrown, and I would be forced to send multiple reminders for something as basic as lawn care—clearly not my responsibility. PMI also seems to have no regard for any prior agreements made between tenants and landlords. If there’s a payment arrangement in place, PMI will simply disregard it and impose exorbitant late fees at their discretion. Most of my inquiries went completely ignored, and I only received a response when I left a negative review—speaks volumes about their professionalism. In the event of an emergency, PMI’s response is not only slow but entirely negligent. I experienced two separate water damage incidents, and despite promises to have the damage repaired, nothing was ever done. I was told that a team would come to paint over the damage, but four months later, I’m still waiting, and I just received a call today—after I’ve already moved out—saying the quote for the paint job was ready. To make matters worse, I was harassed by my upstairs neighbor for nearly an entire year, enduring constant disruptions and unwarranted complaints. Despite my numerous attempts to bring this issue to PMI’s attention, all they did was send out noise ordinance reminders, which clearly did nothing to resolve the problem. They never took the situation seriously, and I was left to deal with the stress and frustration on my own. This company is nothing short of a circus, with unqualified, clown individuals behind the scenes pretending to be professionals. I am relieved to be done with PMI and will never willingly work with them again. They’ve completely failed at every turn, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: We started working with PMI in the Spring of 2022, when we had purchased a home in Old Lyme to be near family but weren't ready to occupy full-time. From day one, Jason has been straight-forward, hard-working, and absolutely committed to us achieving OUR goals with the rental property. His staff, especially Ed (who is such a great guy), are similarly focused on customer satisfaction -- both the renters as well as the property owners. PMI took great care of our home which was especially important since we were out of the area and sometimes gone for months at a time. We have now decided to move to the area full-time and have taken the property off the rental market but we cannot recommend PMI more highly.

Negative experience: Is a scam, intentionally deceitful to keep ‘non-refundable’ fees. Over 100+ dollars to be immediately led on and denied without clarification and wasting necessary time, leading on applicants who need to search for apartments. With the reply I guess I will emphasize the unprofessionalism behind how you handled my application specifically. A background check costs 12.25 from the cheapest I’ve seen across apartments with an average of 30 dollars. However, an non-refundable hundred dollars , fifty per applicant and the 30$ pet fees is steep, however I accepted this given my excitement for the apartment, especially with the fact we weren’t told we were competing for it. Then being given a tour and calling my references and being told from said references I was given a good review was comforting . I have no problem being declined an apartment as that is simply just the way it is, it just happens.But to have the ineptitude and disrespect to not even send me personally an email declining my application, no response whatsoever, is disgustingly unprofessional and unfair. You misled us and lied, as a company you took my money and ran and you deserve more than this poor rating.

Jason was so kind and helpful during the process! I ended up needing to sell the properties which he also assisted me in. I cannot tell you how much stress he relieved from me -always addressing both big and little problems for me and making it as painless as possible. His company is extremely professional and kept immaculate records. They helped me get all of the business in good standing and done correctly. They dealt with all of my tenants, and eventually the buyers when I sold the properties. I wholeheartedly recommend using his services for property management and real estate sales!!!!!

My family & I are renting our property for the first time this year and we’re obviously concerned about who we would entrust the property management responsibility to. He hasn’t failed us and we have the utmost confidence in his abilities to problem-solve or make appropriate suggestions where needed for repairs or rental tips.
