Fantastic experience: As a first home buyer, I am coming in with just some basic knowledge. James have been educating me along the way, he is not pushy to sell you a house, but more like looking at the house along side with you and give feedbacks. He also addressed all the questions I have, or ask the seller for a respond, when needed. I have been working with him to buy a house for almost half a year now , it is a tough buyers market currently but he was very willing and encouraging, brings me to every house I sent to him. He also pointed out the pro/cons of every house we looked at. Overtime, he understands what kind of house you looking for and make recommendations as well. Finally his work ethics is fantastic, he always show up on time ( kind of felt bad that I was the one always late due to work). He works closely to write a competitive offer for you. He is always on top of things and willing to work late if he needs to, there will be times that I would call/text him off hours, but he still respond me. Lastly, he treats every client like his family and I can't ask for a better agent. FYI: he helped me closed my house and the appraised value was a lot higher than the closed price. Negative experience: James Corby seemed friendly and knowledgeable but as time went on i found he wasn't very proactive on helping us and told me repeatedly he would call back next day but didn't. he never tried to contact me with listings or updates unless i asked about specific ones that i found on my own but we went a month without speaking while i was looking. When I was asking for information about properties he told me I wasn't doing my research and I didn't seem to know what I was doing. I felt he had little patience and he talked over me quite a bit making it hard to have a productive discussion with him. When I told him I no longer wished to work with him he initially said OK but then called back ranting about not liking being told he's not doing his job and he works too hard 7 days a week for this and he wouldn't let us get in a word edgewise. at the end of the rant instead of letting us explain ourselves he hung up on us. I called him back a short while later and tried once again to talk him down and I asked him if he even wanted my feedback to let him know where I think he went wrong and he said no went back into his rant and we ended the call. If it wasn't for the way he acted at the end I would have given him a 3 star review. I felt talked down to and ignored and I would not recommend working with him.

I believe along with my friends and extended family that the pictures were fantastic, showing all the property had to offer. Fantastic experience: James was recommended to us by Stacy Riley of Freedom Mortgage. The first realtor we started with appeared to be incredulous that we were upgrading from an 150k home to a 643k home. Stacy said he was skeptical that we could afford the home when she spoke with him in private. She told us that she’s happy to work with whomever we choose, but it would be in our best interest to work with a realtor that would do whatever it took to get our sale and be on top of things. She recommended James, and he was exactly what we needed. I don’t think we would have been able to close without him. There were a lot of close calls. We’re actually moving from Pennsylvania to Connecticut, so navigating that transition was always going to be difficult, but having James help us made it much easier. No matter what our question or problem was, James helped us every step of the way. I would highly recommend working with him!
