Living out of state, we felt stranded as we faced the daunting task of having to manage the property and estate left to the family when grandpa passed away in Hernando County. There was so much to do and it was so hard for us to spend the time nearby to take care of everything in a timely fashion. First and foremost, we had to clean up the house and the yard, remove all the personal belongings, and prepare the house for sale. We were so lucky to find the Tracie Maler Group early on. Fantastic experience: We couldn't have had a better experience when looking for our home in Timber Pines than we had with Tracie Maler and her group at Keller Williams. Even when we thought we would never find what we wanted, she kept looking and called us as soon as she found something she was sure we would like.

Negative experience: If your looking for a " Pocket Lister " Tracie Maler is the right person. After signing the Listing Contract with her she showed no interest in the property and had no attention to detail. Her office manager " Tricia " worked hard, tried her best and was diligent... however she was not the Real Estate Agent. After stating in crystal clear terms that I wanted Town & Country Title Guaranty for the Closing Agent, Tracie ignored my request and repeatedly tried to direct the closing to Southeast Title where Keller Williams has their own relationship. Tracie did not show our home at all to any perspective buyers, and when other realtors showed the property there was no follow up from Tracie Maler as to how the showing went. Other than the two (2) nice signs from Keller Williams that was the extent of their effort to sell the home. When it came to the Home inspection after an offer came in she did not attend the inspection. That is a critical part of the closing of a home and there was no understanding of how important that was. Lastly, when it came to negotiating w/ the Buyer on related items to the final sale of the home. Tracie's only goal was to keep the Buyer away from the Seller and not let them communicate in anyway. It caused un-necessary problems and left the buyer with less information about his home. I will stop at the house that sold and discuss the matter w/ the new buyer. Real Estate today abandons the Buyer and the Seller. They are all Transition Brokers and only interested in their commission. It is a damn shame...

Negative experience: My experience with Ms. Maler ranks as one of the most unethical interactions I have ever had with anyone in the real estate business. In 2019, Florida will institute a law demanding that real estate agents present their clients with all contracts submitted to them. This law is made for agents such as Ms. Maler. Throughout our communications, she acted as her client, not her client's agent. We first submitted an offer for our home in Spring Hill, FL. for the asking price and asked that the seller pay the closing costs. We fully expected to negotiate this point but were denied this opportunity. Ms. Maler was at an out of town conference, but told her assistant to inform us that the offer was being denied out of hand - no negotiations were considered. All of us involved in this initial transaction felt this response was suspect. Who would refuse to enter into negotiations given such a reasonable offer? Was the buyer informed of this offer when her agent was out of town or did the agent, Ms. Maler, take it upon herself to end communication with a potential buyer on her own. However, we wanted the home, so we created another contract. Our suspicions were further aroused when we were given permission by the seller to enter the home to examine a water leak. When our home inspector removed the wood molding, he did discover mold. He then cleaned, painted and drywalled the intrusion to eradicate the problem. Fortunately, he kept a piece of the wood, which clearly was mold infested, to match the existing wood in the room. Later when Ms. Maler visited the home, she insisted that she could not tell her client about the mold since she could not see it. She also stated that her client was elderly and she did not want to "stress her out." My home inspector agreed to show Ms. Maler the moldy piece of wood he kept to convince her that he, I and my real estate agent were all telling the truth. All this, when we were given permission by the owner to enter the home to explore the water leak problem. I was incredulous. Next, we entered into the difficult negotiations to pay for the mold repair. At one point, Ms. Maler said that she had at least 3 other people who wanted to buy this house. A typical ploy, but she would have had to disclose that mold was discovered in the home. Finally, it was agreed that her client would pay $600.00 and we would pay the remaining $600. My real estate agent offered to pay the other $600, but I refused to allow her to incur this cost, so we ended up splitting it. Interesting that Ms. Maler took herself totally out of the financial equation. After all this, I phoned the KW Realty Company to ask for the addresses of Ms. Maler's superiors, so that I could express my frustration with her behavior. Imagine my surprise and dismay, when instead, Ms. Maler rang my doorbell. She was absolutely clueless as to my concerns with her lack of professionalism. This led me to believe that Ms. Maler's actions were her preferred and usual way of conducting business. needless to say, I did not ask her in. And neither should you.

Fantastic experience: I had the best team on my side when I relocated from KY to Florida. I was mostly looking for houses on line through Zillow and Trulia when by chance I was connected to John Driscoll, an expert highly qualified agent from the Tracie Maler group. He not only sent me listings of homes I might be interested in, but led me to a great lender, and found an agent in KY to sell my home (which she did in just a few hours)! He went out of his way to make everything fall into place. And, while John is my hero, I can't leave out the rest of the team.
