Negative experience: My husband and I were under contract on a home listed by Gwen Fowler, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. After our home inspection, several issues were identified that made us uncomfortable moving forward with the purchase. We made the decision to terminate the contract, which is a normal and expected part of the home-buying process when significant concerns arise. Rather than being understanding or professional, Gwen was very rude and inconsiderate to us and our realtor after we informed her of our decision. We felt like her primary concern was her commission rather than respecting our right to make the best decision for our family. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with Gwen Fowler.

Fantastic experience: Working with Gwen and Harry was a pleasure. Both are very hard workers. When I finely decided to sell my mountain house , Gwen sold it in a few days. She made it a smooth experience. The process from listing to closing could not have gone better.

Fantastic experience: Gwen Fowler I really didn’t know anything about her except what my older brother told me… he purchased a home in Westminster SC in January 2021 and couldn’t make up his mind if he wanted to sell it gut it and stay so he decided to contact Gwen and they formed a bond that he could call and ask many questions and I know she went many times over there to talk to him… long story short he gutted it and in 2 months he had passed away… Gwen didn’t miss a beat and we put it on the market and come to find out the title insurance wouldn’t write the policy so after 2 years and many trips to her office and to probate court we finally got it sold… Gwen is one of a kind she will exhaust all avenues and then never give up…. She has became a friend and someone that will bust her take for you on all levels… I have bought and sold a lot of help but I have never met anyone like her and her husband Henry they are wonderful and I feel that they are family… she is still working to sell my 2 vacant lots in Westminster and I have no doubt she is working at both ends… You will have a wonderful experience with Gwen and you may even add a friendship to the contract❤️

Fantastic experience: Gwen is very knowledgeable about the area, has always found exactly what we were looking for. Update: Due to unforseen events, I'm back on Gwen's doorstep, buying, buying again, selling the first. I know I can count on her for honest advice, and she goes above and beyond to get the best for her clients.

Negative experience: Barely had any interaction with her, she took hours to respond to questions, scheduled a viewing of a property that we never agreed on then basically tried to tell us that if we didn't take that viewing, we wouldn't be able to possibly purchase as she was sure it was going to go that weekend. Then sent us a contract to sign stating that she'd be our only agent in the area and when we didn't sign it in 24 hours, she sent a Dear John letter "breaking up" with us. Not sure what her deal is, but I'd find another agent/broker. We've been dealing with agents off and on for years. This was, by far, the most unprofessional experience we've had looking for property. I have no problem signing a contract with an agent that is able to show they'd put in some work, but not with someone like this one.

Fantastic experience: We used Gwen to buy our sweet river cottage in the upstate in 2023. Gwen and her whole team went above and beyond to make sure every detail went smooth. This was a 2nd home so they filed paperwork in the county for us as well as being at the house to meet inspectors and sending us all our tax documents at tax time. I never thought she would still be working so hard for us 6 months after we closed. Not to mention she was low pressure, patient, kind and well connected. We highly recommend Gwen!!! Fantastic experience: Selling a house is hard. Selling a house from across the country to an FHA borrower while also trying to find a new house and align closing dates is really hard. Inspections come up will all sorts of issues that have to be corrected prior to sale. I am honestly not sure if I could have done with without Gwen Fowler and her wonderful husband Henry. Gwen practically walks on water, as far as I'm concerned. We needed a vapor barrier under the house and tons of misc repairs and Gwen arranged it all and then we paid her back out of proceeds. The day before moving I noticed the lock for the back door was missing, and they came and replaced it themselves. Gwen and her team went above and beyond what any reasonable person would expect their realtor to handle and Gwen was like "that's our service, that's just what we do." Well, let me tell you, it's not what MOST realtors do. This would have been a horrible experience without them and I am so very grateful the universe lead me to her. Gwen and Henry are kind, wonderful humans who are a pleasure to be around, as well. I couldn't imagine buying or selling a house in the Upstate with anyone else.

Fantastic experience: In my 81 years on this Earth, I've had my fair share of moves, and this move, by far, has been the most challenging. We had a demanding buyer and tight timeframes and a myriad of things needed to be repaired or address and Gwen Fowler was on top of everything. I didn't have to list a finger to find a vendor or arrange a service, Gwen arranged it all with trusted vendors at fair prices. And then, at the end of it all, she had cleaners make the old place spic and span so I didn't have to worry about cleaning up last minute trash and sweeping and mopping and such on my way out of state. Even when a last minute item came up and I was already on the road out of state, Gwen jumped in and got it solved and made sure we closed on time. Gwen (and Henry) are wonderful and I can't image how much more difficult this process would have been with someone else. I HIGHLY recommend Gwen Fowler Real Estate to ANYONE who needs to buy or sell a home. She is, by far, the best realtor I ever worked with.

Fantastic experience: As a mortgage banker, I worked with Gwen numerous times. She is very professional, met with my clients any time they requested, very professional and answered all their questions very knowledgeable. Negative experience: A real estate agent is not a professional when she doesn't disclose that it's her new son in law's house that she is selling and demands a copy of your bank account with proof of 20% down at 7:30am on a Saturday. An above ground pool surrounded by trees and a hot tub are not worth very much. After 3 offers, she rejected working with us. We found something a lot nicer. I hope they found termites in it and it cost him a fortune. That house needed work to improve his DIY fails, and was not ALL that and a bag of chips. PS- Trim the shrubs so you can get to the front door.

Fantastic experience: Though I live about 1100 miles from Walhalla, when I needed to talk with Gwen she was always available, mostly at the time of my call, and that meant a lot. I inherited a house on Lake Cheohee and put it on the market at probably a very bad time. Gwen worked diligently in showing the house and kept me informed of the results of the showings. One thing in particular that I really liked was her inspecting the house on a regular basis in case any thing was amiss. The neighborhood was close knit, but no one, except one person, could get into the house and they were not there for a good portion of the time. It took some time to sell the house, but it did sell, and Gwen worked to make sure the closing went perfectly. I am carrying the note for the new owners at present, but they are now in the process of obtaining a mortgage. Again Gwen has kept me informed, as well as the new owners have also done, on the progress on the new mortgage. I really can't say enough good things about Gwen. Needless to say, I would occasionally get letters from other agents in the area asking for the listing, but I remained true to Gwen and her associates as they remained true to me. Five stars

Fantastic experience: We bought a beautiful home on a quiet lake in Oconee County, SC.
