Fantastic experience: Sometimes the stars align and without asking, you receive a tremendous gift from the universe. This is what happened to us when we met Sheila Baker, our realtor from Swanson Realty. We are two older couples that decided to buy a house together and enjoy our next chapter near the beach. While our situation was not unique, it was not normal either. Attending an open house at a more expensive home than we wanted to spend, we met Sheila, the listing agent. She took the time to listen to our plans and immediately made us feel like we were the most important people in her world at that moment. She offered her own keys to the community beach and river houses for us to visit, asking us to return them when we were finished. Her trusting us allowed us to trust her. From there, magic happened because of her. Sheila showed us multiple homes in Winding River, giving us as much time as we asked, and still looking ahead to make sure we had the best use of our time. If you think deciding on a house is hard, try doing it with two couples, well-seasoned with varied and strong opinions. Because Sheila took the time to really listen to us, she understood our individual needs, as well as our needs as a new four-member family unit. When we disagreed, she stepped back and let us work it out but still offered solid advice. In nine days, we went from a pie in the sky idea with Sheila to an accepted offer on a perfect home in Winding River. Now, at this stage, so many things can go wrong and, in our case, did a few times. But remember that we had magic. Sheila walked every step of the way with us and each bump was handled with grace and care by her. It felt almost too good to be true. Eight weeks later, both of our houses sold, our new house in Winding River closed and we moved into our piece of paradise. Would this have happened without Sheila Baker? Maybe. But we would like to think that it was Sheila and her magic of exceptional customer service that made it all possible. You don’t have to take our word for it. Give her a call and see for yourself. Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, we are only able to give a maximum of 5-Stars here. Swanson Realty and specifically, Tracy Swanson did an amazing, truly outstanding job of putting together a high-end, professional presentation of our home. In a market while desirable- St. James, it was/is not unusual to be 4-6 weeks on the market before one get's a reasonable offer on their home. We had a much different experience. Tracy and her team put together a plan of attack with an outstanding video presentation and an aggressive on-line marketing strategy. The result? Sold 'sight-unseen' in 3-days at full price! The bottom line- if you're not in a hurry to sell your home, then just throw a bunch of agents names in a hat and pull one out. If on the other hand you want super-service and your best opportunity to sell your home as quickly as possible, then call Tracy Swanson!

Becky ended up being our realtor and I can not say enough wonderful things about her or her work ethic. Becky went above and beyond to help us find our new home. We started looking while living 4 hours away. Becky would go to the properties for us and would make videos so we could tour the homes without having to make all of the trips back and forth. Fantastic experience: Josh and Becky are the absolute best when buying a home. They have worked with us the better part of the last 6 months looking for a new home that fits our needs and absolutely nailed it. Several times they left what would have been money in their pocket go while looking out for our best interests. Making sure we were making good and well informed decisions is clearly more important to them than closing a sale quickly. Josh is not afraid to crawl under a nasty crawlspace or two to look around, bust out inspection tools to check moisture levels, etc. I've never seen a realtor as thorough as him evaluating a home and then making educated and informed suggestions on how to proceed. They also know everyone in the inspection and repair business and know who to call to resolve issues with these trusted 3rd parties. If you are buying a house you simply will not find anyone better than Josh and Becky. We have bought 2 houses, 8 years apart, from Josh and look forward to having him sell our current home soon.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been working with Sheila Baker and the Swanson realty office, for a couple of years. We have been trying to find the best area for our move from Ohio, after my husband's retirement. My sister and her husband live in Wilmington, and we wanted to be close to them. Sheila would send us listings of homes that she knew we would like. When we visited my sister, Sheila would take us to homes she thought we would love. Fantastic experience: Swanson Realty truly does go above and beyond for their clients. In early spring, my family and I decided we were ready to make the major move from Ohio to North Carolina. After reading the many positive reviews, researching and spending time on their aesthetically pleasing website, we decided to give Swanson Realty a call. Immediately, we were offered a congratulations, a “We can’t wait to have you here!”, and my favorite “Miss Tammy is here today and she’s going to do you one good!” The office staff punched us through to Miss Tammy and we hit the ground running. Tammy offered us contact information for a great mortgage lender, and many insights to the areas we were interested in. Back in Ohio, our house listed for sale the same weekend we decided to go house hunting with our realtor in North Carolina. Miss Tammy walked us through each and every house we were interested in- even the more unsightly houses and against her better judgment- though she’d never say it- at least until we agreed it was terrible. Ha! She was encouraging and supportive throughout the entire hunting process. Our last day in North Carolina, we toured what would become our home. While it was not complete, and was the shell of what it is now, Tammy was confident in the builder, the area, and how much we loved it. After many set backs with our Ohio home, Miss Tammy remained encouraging and completely engaged in our selling and buying process. She truly cared and wanted what was best for us.
