Christian took me to several different neighborhoods so I had a better understanding of where I might like to purchase a home. After I decided on an area, Christian suggested homes on the market that fit my budget and requirements daily. I really appreciated having a motivated and enthusiastic agent like Christian. Thanks to Southeby’s and specifically Christian, I am now a first-time home owner.

Fantastic experience: In the last seven years, I have bought and sold two homes. Both times I worked with Jim Schlueter from Encore Sotheby's International Reality. Jim is without question, the best realtor I have ever had the pleasure to work with for selling and purchasing a home. He is always available to answer questions and calm concerns. He provides workable suggestions for preparing homes for the process, and is extremely knowledgeable about the market, pricing, etc. I highly recommend him and Encore Sotheby's!

Negative experience: We had a mixed experience here. This group is probably great for typical sellers/buyers. For renters, I would strongly advise not to rent a single-family house in Indianapolis from the Herman family. They denied to check the house before the move (e.g., for a pre-inspection) upon emailed request, and, moreover, at move-out they were particularly meticulous (i.e., charged a great amount of money for each item they noted). Furthermore, we had another professional landlord walk through the rental house the week of the move-out. What he described as normal wear and tear for 2.5 years of renting (e.g., nail holes in the walls repaired and only needing new paint), turned out to be a slaughtering with the Herman group. While we don’t have any complaints about the items they noted (e.g., walls and stove not as-new, and, of course, we have pets) we are disappointed in the outcome. Ultimately, we care about returning a product in a nice state (e.g., Deluxemaid bi-weekly cleanings, including a deep clean for the move-out), as we as an emerging family have loved the rental house for the past 2.5 years.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Robbin Edwards in Indy. She not only sold our daughter and husband their house but ours too. She was beyond patient with us and showed us houses in many areas. In this process, she has become a friend too. We bought a house that will allow us to close to our daughters and checked all of our boxes. It took 7 months to find it but Robbin helped us find it!

She will treat you like family and your home or business as if it were her own. She has a keen eye for details. She is an artist and a designer with and an expert ability to highlight your home for the best possible sales outcome. Cathy is a class act!

Fantastic experience: I have worked with a few agents with the Robbin Edwards Team. They are great Realtors in their business and I will happily continue to work with their clients on all their mortgage needs.

Negative experience: We communicated with Jennifer Sutton on a rental property near Broad Ripple. She set an appointment for 10am on Memorial Day 2022, only to find she completely ghosted us with without even the decency to let us know the property was already rented out. She instead blocked our number with no reply to text or call after a confirmed appointment. We drove 3 hours north, ready to sign all documents needed to secure our next home. Extremely unprofessional and childish. I know this review is for this realtor in particular, but how can such a highly rated property management business have people like this working for them?

Positive experience: You have to call to be allowed up to the third floor, but it is a real estate company, so….. The lady that I spoke with was really nice and helpful getting me up there.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t know much about selling my property with anyone other than a realtor. When I got the call asking if I wanted to sell my rental property, I agreed to sell but I was so afraid that it was a scam. The guys were so nice and personable that I really became nervous. They offered me the amount that a realtor told me it was worth so I excepted. They paid for everything even a delinquent gas bill that a renter left me with. Everything was done on line and the notary came to my house for the final stage of the sell. Even after I signed the paperwork, I was still afraid that it was a scam and it wasn’t until the money was wired into my account that I was actually able to trust the process. So let me put your mind at ease if you’re interested in selling your property. They are legitimate and they are genuinely nice guys. My property wasn’t worth a lot of money so I took a chance on using a developer and not a realtor because I wanted to keep the money from the property for myself and not have to pay commission fees or closing costs and all that’s involved in selling property. Five stars for the process and five stars for the company.

Negative experience: There was a showing today arranged by Encore Sotheby's. We don't wear shoes in the house. So, I prepared shoe covers for the visitors. I found the associate who brought the family for showing walking around without wearing shoe covers on the tape from a surveillance camera. The person who should have encouraged the visitors to wear shoe covers totally ignored house owner's wish and walked on the floor and carpet wearing outdoor shoes. I expect courtesy and respect from a realtor when I open my house for showing. Professional courtesy and respect for house owners' lifestyle and space. How hard is it to wear shoe covers which were already prepared at the entrance? I find his behavior disappointing and rude.
